Purchased lifetime Ultima alternator. After two hours the alternator stopped charging. Turned off all loads and limped to tri-cities. Although disappointed I was assured knowing the part was under warranty. The vehicle has BCM regulated charging. The minimum voltage should be 13.9. After 2 hour drive dropped below 12 volts. Shut off restarted and got back to 13.5. Loads off made it to store in Pasco. Pulled the unit and took in to find they had no stock. They ordered a delivery from a store 4.5 miles away. Ok so I am thinking an hour or so. No luck. Delivery truck is on a scheduled run. No exceptions. 2.5 hour estimated delivery delay. I put the unit back on and drove to the other location on road 68. The counter person interrupted when I described the issue and said “has to fail on the tester”. Obviously he can’t duplicate 2 hour run time. No warranty. He coldly stated you can buy another. So far over 2 hours trying to get the part warranted. I have spent thousands at Oreillys over the years. I also run a service department that spends more. I am very familiar with the vehicle and the charging circuit. If you can’t warranty the part in unique circumstances don’t claim to have a lifetime warranty. If you treat me this way I have to assume you treat my customers in the same manner. Very poor service. I have over 40 years experience as an automotive tech/manager. I can only assume you treat those with less knowledge worse. I paid for the alternator. Over 5 hours no issues. I expect to be contacted and to get a complete refund. As the store level employees are not able to help perhaps a district manager could intervene. BTW the store I normally work with offered to resolve without any reservations. Oreillys management should be concerned. I know as a store manager I would be.

Easy location to get to. Online ordering and pick-up went without issue. Has most everything you need for your ride.

I wish there was a zero star. I had a flat tire so I bought air compressor to fill it up but it did not work and they did not know anything about it. After that they also did not accept a return, I was sitting in the parking lot the whole time. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.

O'Reilly's has been decent until now. Started with bad wheel bearing grease. The car was never driven, and while still on jack stands, the grease turned to liquid, running down onto the new brakes (pictured) of a collector car. Tried to return the O'Reilly's exclusive brand 'MasterPro' grease. Assistant manager would not take it back because I didn't keep a receipt for $5 worth of grease, which is only sold at O'Reilly's. The minimal cost of refunding grease and providing replacement seals would have kept my business, even with the amount of labor and inconvenience to repack wheel bearings. Now I will take my business elsewhere and share the story of a poor product and bad customer service.

Awesome parts and good-natured staff. Best place nearby to order parts.

They seem to only quote the high end part price unless you ask. It pays to shop around for pricing regardless. Sometimes the smaller independent owners you can get better deals..like 9 to 9 auto. They happen to not have my part at the time, but the pricing was better.

I guess I will have to quit going to this auto parts and drop my membership I have. I never get to use my discounts Everytime I spend money there they email me a discount coupon but by the time I go back to spend $100's of dollars again my coupon is expired by a couple days and they won't honor it, very disappointed in there customer service
