I needed a replacement radio for my Kia Rondo EX. The dealership quoted $4500 just for the part. Then went on to tell me that there are none in North America, and likely won't be available in South Korea either for a car of my age. (2014) So began the hunt for a used part. I began in the east. Many, many hours or looking and one long car trip (to get a part that was incorrectly identified) I was about to give up. Finally someone here in Ontario was able to find the part at Ideal. I thought it would cost a fortune to get the part and have it shipped quickly to my home. Nope! I probably can't quote the price, but I'll say that even with express (less than 48 hours!!) shipping and taxes, it came to LESS THAN 4% of what my local dealership would have charged me. Just popped it in and it works like a charm! It even came with a Beatles CD that I suppose was used to check it for quality. Fast, friendly and efficient service. I was initially looking for an exhaust muffler for my 2008 Infiniti FX after having no luck with getting a new part virtually anywhere. I was referred to Ideal from an auto wrecker in Surrey and I was excited to know that Ideal had the exact same car as me and thus there were some other parts I was interested in as well from the interior. I spoke to Rob on the phone and he took the time to correctly identify & confirm the parts that I needed as well as went out to the lot to verify that they were still there. He promptly called me back once he confirmed.The next day I went out to Chilliwack from Burnaby to visit the team at Ideal and the experience was nothing short of excellent and professional. I actually stopped by to see if they had a gas filler hose for a 81 chevy K10 square body pickup, I got two 22 gal tanks on my beast and after 40 years, those necks rotted, 40 years...we're the last generation to have long lasting technology, it may be old, but it lasts and I will outlast any of today's technology..They didn't have any gas filler necks, so I compromised and got some rad hose at Greg's down the road, he's got some good stuff to, but all was said and done, the solution to just fill the tank, was to crouch under box of truck and fill directly into tank, the fact that is an option, is what will keep these old trucks running for life, mines over one millions kms on the odo, original everything.

Called them today about a running board for my pick up. Went in and had a great chat with them! Found what I was looking for for a fraction of the price I would have paid for a new one. Great staff, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them.

Ordered a used engine from here for a reasonable price, but that's where the positive ends. The engine arrived damaged and in inspecting it found failed internal oil gallery gaskets which cause low oil pressure and will lead to engine failure if not repaired. When ordering the engine I specifically asked if the engine oil pressure and compression were checked, and I was told it would be and it was an A grade part (it never was). When calling to enquire about warranty coverage of the engine, it was explained to me that they are essentially only selling a core to rebuild and that the 90 day warranty as written on the invoice couldn't possibly be written long enough to include every problem that might occur.
