What a great experience with Tom and his speedy roadside service! I was in Fleischmanns, NY for the first time for a long weekend in Oct 2020 with my wife and two young children. We noticed a flat before we were about to leave, it was the first flat in my life, ugh! We felt helpless and were in a cabin way up on a hill and not easily accessible. We called Shamros Tire & Auto Services, spoke to Tom, and he was at our cabin in literally five minutes in his pickup truck, we couldn’t believe how fast he arrived. He was so nice, he listened to me explain the issue, then he quickly got our car jacked-up and the tire off. After diagnosing the issue as a bad sensor on the external tire valve, he took the tire back to his shop, fixed it up, and arrived back to finish the job. Thirty minutes later we were ready to hit the road for the 2.5 hour ride back to NYC. I’ve heard horror stories about people having to pay exorbitant amounts of money when having a car issue, and Tom’s service was the EXACT OPPOSITE. We were shocked at the low cost of the roadside service. I offered to follow him back to his shop to pay, but Tom took our credit card number and said he’d run it later, saying if he had any issues, he’d give us a call. He texted us an invoice picture 30 minutes later for our records including the details of the new valve. What an incredible experience that we’ll never forget, being in an unfamiliar place, needing help, and Tom coming to our rescue. Chuck from Big Indian Towing also stopped by in case we were in need of a tow, but he and Tom spoke as they know each other, and they concluded it was a simpler solution. We have another trip to Fleischmann’s in three months and our positive memory of our tire and Tom’s assistance will certainly be a fun topic of discussion.
