I'm an out of state buyer trying to buy an engine. The"manager" tells me he can't take a credit card over the phone, they don't accept checks because that's the owners policy and I'll have to buy it in person. He then tells me to give the transport driver MY credit card so he can use my card with my company name on it. He goes on to tell me all the Owners rules he has to follow , but won't call the owner for a solution. He states he can't sell me an engine unless I show up in person, and wants to argue about how long he's wasted my time on the phone. Hopefully the owner follows up, or at least stops advertising out of state if they can't figure out how to sell to out of state customers.

100%best place to locate impossible parts to find!Found my 2011 Suzuki Kizashi awd transmission here&at an absolute decent price!The gentlemen were a great deal of help to me.I Informed them I would be driving 100 miles&2hour drive to there location from where I live.They helped me take care of payment&paperwork over phone&computer.They asked me if there was anything else I would like off the car in the yard&I told them i needed the luggage rack covers as well if they were still on car.They pulled the trans out of the car for me,called me&I made the trip up.The transmission was all securely wrapped up&ready to make the trip back home with me when I arrived.They even thru in the three luggage rack covers for me.I was issued a guarantee&on my way I went.Two years later my much loved car is still a daily driver&in car shows!Thanks to the amazing guys at Bilderback's!

Horrible horrible customer service by that guy DAVID Said they had a fuel tank I needed. Made me wait and lose 2 days of my time to only call me and tell me it’s no good. Which they charged me before them evening knowing its good and they won’t even send you receipts or refund notices “because I didn’t ask for them” uhm common sense no? Aside from all that just their attitude and voice of tone over the phone is just enough to never want to go there honestly. Horrible service and horrible people. Don’t even apologize.

Horrible customer service!!!!!! Called about a harness and he act like he was doing me a favor instead of me buying a part!!! All the huffing and puffing on the phone when I’m just asking a simple question. Definitely will not be calling them again

Called bilderback this morning to ask about a trans theysaid they have 1, i told them i would send a driver to go get it, i hour away. my driver gets there, has to weight for them to load the transmission and after 1 hour they come out and say they cant find it, 1st and only experience im going to have w them

Reading these negative reviews really surprise me because my whole experience today was great. The guys inside the office were great to talk to while I waited to get my Jeep fender. I definitely will do business with them in the future for other parts. Thanks again guys

Charge me 875.00 for a used part. after quoting me 800.00. then i had to arrange my own shipping, i got the part, it doesn't work, and the refuse to return my calls or emails, stay away from these THIEVES

great service. prices where below other yard in a 100 mile radius. Called and they had the part taken off the donor in less than 24h. 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee liftgate.

I have bought several things from this salvage yard and I am yet to be displeased. One thing to remember for any other possible buyer. If you do not give the correct info to the guys at the counter, you will get the incorrect part. That's on you. I did just purchase a transmission that came from a wrecked truck. As you know, that can be a gamble. I did find that it would not work for me due to the damage. I called Mark at the front desk, because he has been the one I choose to deal with, and Dave picked up. When asking if Mark was available, I sensed an attitude immediately from Dave. I gave him the info for Mark to call me when available. Couple hours went by and I gave the yard a call back to see If Mark was available, thinking that maybe he got busy and forgot. I know, human behavior, right?! He was not available again. I proceeded to tell Dave that I have a short window to get this done today, and before I could finish my sentence, I was rudely interrupted with a raised voice saying he understands and then hung up. Very unprofessional service if you ask me. I went ahead headed down there hoping to catch Mark in my open window of time. Long story a little shorter, Mark took care of me. They are going to pull another trans from a newer truck and give me an exchange. if it doesn't work for me, then they will reimburse my money.

Horrible service. They want payment up front before they pull a part. They promise the part the next day. I paid $2k for a transmission. 3 days later still don't have it. They won't answer the phone. On the few times somone does answer they either don't know what i am talking about or complain they don't have enough staff. And will not tell me when the part will be pulled or refund my money so i can get a transmission somewhere else. Do not buy anything from them.

Unfortunately had a bad experience. I live 40 minutes away. I called and checked on a part. Employee on phone said it was in stock. I drove to get it. Upon arrival the employee at the desk said it was still on the car, that i could pay for it and they would call when it's ready. I explained that I live far away and I would wait. He informed me that he has only two people to pull parts, they are busy and my $35 part doesn't come before a $2000 engine. I said when they pull the part, please call me. He said they won't pull it until I pay. I said I'm not paying for a part I can't see it's condition. He said I could walk out to the yard and look. The instructions I was given were very vague. It was my first time there and it turns out this yard is actually much bigger than you think it is. I walked around for 45 minutes, navigating the mud and ponds. Never found the car. As I decided to leave and was walking out, the employee sees me and not once asked if I found it. They would be good to remember that salvage yard makes it's money $1 at a time. Before anyone gives this place business, make sure to ask detailed questions. They certainly are not going to go out of there way for your business.

Should have read these reviews before sending my credit card info. Called on an item and was told through several emails and phone calls they had been pulled and ready for shipping or pick up for me. Just found out they had been sold to someone else. Wasted 3 weeks on this item and now need to find another one. Maybe it's a good thing I didn't buy from this salvage yard. Need to check with my bank to see if any charges had been processed.

I called in last week to the place the order for the rim. The scott there says he has it and ready to ship the order. First, he says oh shipping is so much, then on no I can find you cheaper $100 and send to Canada. Ok great, order it. After 4 days I am getting a call, that sir your rim is bent and we have refunded and couldn't ship. My friend this is not how business works. when you are taking parts onto shelves or developing inventory you should inspect already rather than me telling my customer that its on its way. Will you pay for 4 days rental? and 4 days parking cost here? No right, so never make a deal that you cannot complete. And bad attitude, do whatever makes you happy instead of saying sorry. Sure I can write a honest review, that's all I can do!

I called for a part that they had that was supposed to be an exact fit for my truck. I drive 7hrs away to pick up the part and when I got there they were very rude I asked to look at the part to make sure it would work before I spent 1300 dollars and as I was going over the part the owner came outside with complete attitude towards me and acted like I was an inconvenience to his day and when I figured out that it was in fact the wrong part and would not fit my vehicle they were even worse towards me and not even an apology or to try and find another one that would work after I drive 7hrs to them. I would not recommend this yard one bit very horrible customer service and no knowledge as to what parts fit what.

I called look for a fuel tank for my truck. Guy became very rude when I didn't know the answer to a question. Read the reviews and seems many people has same issue. I hope I can find the part other places. Definitely won't bother calling them again if I need something

Unfriendly and rude service. Bought a rim and went through over 4 of them and not of them were able to hold air once the tire was mounted. Won't give me my money back and will only do exchange. I'm sorry but your parts are junk and you just stole money from me. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Buyers beware I ordered transmission from them it was faulty and not true to their description. Shipping was arranged and I was told once they receive it they would return my money. Oh was I wrong. After they got their part back they decided to ignore my calls and keep my money. I never got my 1200$ back. All I can say thieves wished I read reviews before I purchased from them.

Horrible customer service, I manage a Salvage yard for 16 years and the guy that answer the phone should not be in customer service. Is for people like you that business prefer to buy machines to automatically answer calls than to hire people like you.

Man I don't go talking bad about other business but in this case I want everyone to know I have a used car dealership with repair shop in Iowa and I buy used parts from many scrap yards. I will say that I will never buy from Bilderback again. Buyer beware!! I bought a engine for a car from them that was bad from the word go and 3 engines later after all the labor I was out I ask for a refund on the engine and over a year later I get some of my money back. Only after getting my attorney involved. You have got to be kidding me. Don't take my word for it check the other reviews. This is not the first time they have taken advantage of someone. All I wanted was for them to refund the full amount. Never did I ask for all the labor money I was out. Again I don't like to speak bad about another business but at this point I want people to know the truth!!

Very bad customer service, they lie, they are expensive and the attention is disastrous, they demand you pay first and even send payment for the shipping level and then they tell you that they do not have the part or it is broken, and on the website there is another price and it exists .Very bad experience I do not recommend it at all

WARNING THIS PLACE SCAMS PEOPLE AND SELLS DAMAGED PARTS CLAIMING THEY ARE GOOD. This place has given me over 6 blown motors over the course of doing business with them claiming thst they are good and they will not refund me my money back on the labor that my employee spent 10-15 hours working to put these blown motors in vehicles. Very rude and unprofessional DO NOT BUY HERE

I would not recommend using this yard. I was told part was rust free and was not rust free. I was also told one price on the phone and told a different price when I got there. Also they called to tell me the part was out and ready but when I got there the part wasn't and no one new where the part was. Very unorganized place

Should have listened to the reviews. Call said they had my part. Drove and hour and a half to pick up. Waiting for about 30 min for them to tell me they didn't know where it was. Waste of time as gas.

They put a Transmission for $475 and we drive seven hours to get there and they said they already sold it but they put it back online for $1500 and when my husband complain about it the guy was really really rude!!!😡
