LKQ North Texas JunkYard Reviews

Ordered part online, drove 50 miles 3 days after being told part was ready and they did not have part. Zero communication from online sales. Of course I was charged very promptly and have yet to see a refund or notice of refund.

0.2 outta 10 chances you’ll get someone on the phone. Purchased a part for delivery, get a voicemail stating item is ready for pickup. Can get no one on the phone to see why part wasn’t delivered or how to change it.

Decent deals and warranty. They never answer phone calls. Had to order part in person and workers were just taking amongst themselves.

Philip went out of his way to help locate a rear quarter panel for my 97 Jeep Cherokee.

Never answer the phone !called for two weeks straight

Would be my last time dealing with lkq, so irritating they never pick up calls. Why have a contact number you never respond to.
- DDavid Hutson
Need parts for newer cars this is the place. I help build the building. 9 years ago but the LKQ has been in business longer than that.

As long as I've been a member they never seemed to upgrade their phone system. THEY NEED A PHONE QUE! It is frustrating to keep calling over and over just to talk to someone all because you cant get put into a que like all other companies. Nope, not LKQ. It just hangs up on you if nobody answers
- MMichael Ellis
Not like other junk yards. Call first before you drive out. More than likely won't leave with your part that day unless ordered the day before. I needed something yesterday at the time. But now I know. Hope this helps anyone driving out before calling.

Would be amazing if they answered their phone... office full of people, and a national hotline, yet asking for part availability (which is always priced higher over the phone than what they have online) takes at least half an hour, and being placed on hold for the entire time. Seems like every call goes through 1 person, and 1 person only. IF they do have your part, it's a 2-3day wait... might as well order it on Ebay.

Happy the part finally came! So it should have been ready on Friday, I called to find out the part was delayed after speaking on Monday to them. I repeatedly called for status on the part. Finally they called me up, and was able to pick it up. Rude customer service, going in to pick up a order______ “do you know what the part looks like if you saw it”. What does that have to do with anything. Then purchased at the counter and no explanation of next steps…. Finally someone tells me to go outside and someone would fill the order. Got the part and ready to go, too much!!

I recently purchased a rearview mirror, and it was missing a part that was supposed to come with the mirror that can not be purchased anywhere else unless you buy a brand new mirror from the manufacture, but I understand mistakes can happen. I wanted to contact LKQ to see if I can purchase this part from them. I don't understand this location (Burleson) or company. When I visit this location in person I always get excellent customer service keep in mind I live an hour away from this location. But when I contact LKQ on the phone about any questions, I get horrible customer service. I'm always thrown into a loop of holds, and the phone disconnects on its own, and I would need to restart the process. I've had incidents where I would call them, and they would tell me it's the wrong location, but the phone number is directly pulled from the Burleson website. The biggest thing I don't understand is why I need to talk to the specific salesman (Larry) that sold me the part. There was no big background story on the part I needed. Any salesperson can take care of my issue. All I need to know is if you can sell me this part or not. If not, please tell me don't just throw me around and waste my time. Also dealing with Larry is an awesome experience IN PERSON. A great guy is willing to help you, but you must be in person. You can never reach him over the phone, and he will never call you back. I have yet to speak with them for the last few weeks after contacting them. If anyone wants outstanding customer service, please be there in person they are willing to help you no matter what. They have never turned a cold shoulder, but if you have any questions over the phone unless you are actually buying a part then good luck I hope they treat you better than me. Because driving an hour back and forth is a wasting my time and gas. Just for them to tell me no.

i bought a transmittion 61k miles for 1300$+ only to find out that it was defective.. i returned it and they replaced it. i ask for same mileage 61k or lower. they replaced it with 100k miles transmittion. this is not fair because i checked the price for a 100k miles tranzmittion with lkq and they said they have it for 700$.. now it iant fair tbat they replaced my original 61k transmittion with a higher miles for the money i paid originally??. i need to have 600$back..and they are really hard to reach by phone..and the office by nirth texas ignored me for 20minutes before someone finally took care of me. there was alot of sales people that look like as if they never saw me??!

I was able to find a rack and pinion for a 23 year old truck with only 88k miles on the part. The new OEM rack and pinion for my truck is backordered with no ETA. The aftermarket ones are complete trash. They have a vast inventory of certified OEM parts, decent prices, and keep every part harvested by VIN. I'm completely pleased with my purchase. It's what I should have done in the first place rather than try an aftermarket one . . (leak city!)

Used like kind quality auto parts at a great price. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Extremely clean showroom and they'll bring the parts to the counter. I purchased a replacement tire rim for my pickup truck.

I ordered a part on a Monday was told the part would be at the Burleson location on Wednesday contacted them Wednesday said the part was still in Hutchins and not delivered yet. Contacted on Thursday and Friday Part still not there. Showed up 5 minutes before they were going to close doors locked and nobody would answer
- WWillard Dickerson
I have used LKQ at both the Burleson and Hutchinson locations. I had stellar experience at both locations. I will continue returning regardless of a few bad reviews. No matter where you go, businesses have strict refund policies that they have to follow. Unfortunately, the banks are involved when you are trying to get money back off of your card, and it may take a few days. If you are not set up to do business with a legal business, you may have to return to the streets. I have had no problems on returns. LKQ has great parts.......

I called LKQ in Burleson to order some auto parts for my vehicle and the phone took forever to be answered. Next, I called four times and finally someone picked up the phone. The person was rude and talked an attitude and hanged up the phone on me. I felt really bad and blamed myself for wasting my time to call to buy auto parts.

I bought a spare tire about a year ago from LKQ. I gave the associate I bought it from my car type and the dimensions of my tire and he sold me a spare. I did not measure the tire to double check that it would fit, and that's on me. And of course I did not discover that it was much too big until I actually needed to use it. I called customer service, I was not trying to return the tire for a refund, I knew that would be unreasonable since I had bought it a year ago, but I was trying to enquire whether or not I could return the tire for some type of credit towards one that actually fit properly. I could not even finish my sentence before the customer service associate cut me off and told me they won't refund me, which was not what I was even going to ask. Just put out the extra cash and buy from the dealership. They should be able to sell you the right part, or at least listen to your call.
- RRyan Sanchez
Do not use LKQ. I came to them in a pinched and regret it in the end. Their return policy is absolutely ridiculous and should be explain prior to purchase rather than pointing at signs after a sold is made. Waiting over a week to get my core refund on a purchase I made in cash. Not explaining things to their customers making $4000 purchases is bad for business.

For to say it was my first referral to this place I drove 1hr for a part the place closed at 5 I was aware of that so I called bec I would be five minutes late from where I was when I called whoever the gut was on the phone informed me he would wait at least ten minutes when I arrived it was exactly 5:07 an when I got to the door it was locked.i spoke to someone coming out a side door who said they we're closed I informed her that I had talked to someone who told me they would wait until I get there bec I informed them that I was coming so all she could say is I'm sorry you came so far and she don't know why that person would have told me that and all she did was go get in her car. But I wouldn't refer them to anyone bec I have seen businesses that would a least stayed 10 minutes if someone had driven that far. Never get my business.

Rude desk help! More like they don't want to work. The part I waited five days to be pulled either was damaged while pulling or already damaged before pulling. Sold to me without even letting me know. I don't work on cars so no I wouldn't have noticed the part was 🗑️. * Note*I understand how to handle parts. Part road in my backseat. I drove from the other side of the metroplex to get this part. I now know why people don't want to deal with the Burleson location.

Ordered a transmission was supposed to be delivered Monday here we sit Thursday... was told it would be delivered Thursday NO MATTER WHAT... call to follow up and believe that!!!!!! Didn't make it on the truck so it will now be FRIDAY!!!!!! Won't hold my breath for Friday either..
- RRenee'
I called to get a price on a standard transmission. Gave the guy behind counter the information he asked for. Told him 3 times it was for standard transmission. He quoted me. I hung up. Talked to my customer gave her the quote to repair her truck. She said do it. I call the direct line to the guy i was speaking to. He asked for the mileage then for the full vin. Then the guy behind the counter that gave the original quote said oh thats not the right price i gave you before it was $1500 higher than he originally quoted. I told him i needed to speak with a manager then because thats not what he said when i called to get quote first. Then says no manager is at the office today. I told him send me to his line ill leave message. Instead i got put on hold several times. So i kept calling back to speak with manager. Finally after my calls weren't getting answered. I called the direct line 1 last time. The guy answered sent my call to manager. Manager Dan heard the conversation previously and said he would check into it and see if they could knock the price down to be near what the other guy quoted originally. Just disappointing having to call that many times and try over and over to speak to management. When someone else was blocking me from speaking to them. Manager Dan got back to me quickly. Then told me he was going to get me a different representative to help purchase the transmission that i got quoted for. New representative Taylor handled the situation very professionally. After fighting to speak to management for 30 or so minutes i got what needed to happen in the first place.

Very helpful when ordering my part, having to buy the whole door to get the trim for my cadillac. BUT !!!! Next day, door was shipped to wrong location, will have to go back. Second day, went to pickup part and it was the wrong door. I was informed they would correct the problem. Now 2 wasted trips. We'll see what happens....
- SSilverHatchet
Phone sales was more than happy to get me off the phone. Promptly told me that he didn't have the part, then hung up when I tried to verify if we were talking about the same part. I thought they were networked with other LKQ locations. Could they not have it somewhere else and have it shipped to this location for a fee? Who knows because goober was too eager to hang up. What a joke, never again. I think their overall rating speaks for itself.
- DDebra Silva
LKQ is the best! I called and they attended me right away! They had what I was looking for and got it out to me fast!
- mmike ri
Bad experience 4th time there. Not professional staff. They always order different parts. Want to get you in and out quick and don't pay attention to orders example i ordered a ecm for a 5.3 and they gave me for a 4.8.. Another order i ordered a taillight for a 2016 Malibu they gave a 2012 said it fit. While i had broken taillight in hand. Never go back ill order online my take longer but 90% of the time you get what you order.
