3.5 stars based on 30 reviews- CChrysler Electronic Lean Burn
I always wanted to check this salvage yard out for parts. I went in the first time with no tools because I wanted to get the layout of the yard. The girl at the desk was very pleasant and I gave her my admission fee and she was very helpful and gave me a map since it was my first time. In the yard and I will be back to get the pars. All the employees were very pleasant and the maps simplified things once I got used to how their Arrangement was in the yard. I even found a used tire on their tire rack for my van. The girl with the desk didn't know how to ring the the used tires so she got her boss and he was a very helpful and nice man too in all very pleasant experience. I believe the manager's name was Dennis. This was on a Sunday afternoon and all the employees were very pleasant and helpful. I don't understand the negative reviews. I will be back for some parts. Very positive experience👍😃!

This place sucks literally. And it wasn't just one time , it's been several different occasions ...The first time was on a Sunday. My window regulator broke so we got there at 3:15 I believe. Ask him if we had time to pull a few parts & it was raining so I definitely needed it asap. So we drove clear down south , a good 45 min drive....The lady was driving through telling us we needed to head towards the register because they were closing soon.. . So we walked up there and when we got inside they told us we could only pay if we had a card because we were 4 minutes late and I said. Yes, not a problem, so we stood there for 10 minutes Waiting on someone to ring us up. When they said we'll have to come back tomorrow to get the parts because the register was closed. I explain to them that the lady just said we could pay if we had a card.... he said sorry shes wrong , we can't do that, so I said okay Can we please pay cash , I don't need a receipt. I just need the. Regulator he tells me no, that's not possible so I ask to talk to the manager , the manager tells us to come in his office. And pretty much tells us were beat so I asked him please I don't have time tomorrow or the gas to keep driving back-and-forth. And its currently raining and my kids are in the truck freezing. He said sorry about your luck. He's totally rude along with all the other employees. Another instance Ive been trying to call today to get a price on a specific item that isnt listed online. He hangs up on me everytime before i'm even done talking. He said I'll have to go to the actual yard to talk to them. I said it's not just right down the street. So can I please have a number so i can talk to them about prices before I go clear up there so I don't waste my time. He said no and hung up on me yet once again. Im done with this place its a joke. Will never buy anything from here or waste my time again.

LKQ had what I needed and I was able to check the availability online before taking a trip there. I was able to get the donor car locations of the vehicles from their website and that made it much easier. There’s plenty of 10mm bolts and fuses if you’re needing to stock up.
- KKenneth Scarpelli
Their phone number is worthless. No matter what option you select, the phone system tells you to go to the website then hangs up on you. All I wanted was to call, speak to a person to ask a quick question before I drive an hour to get there.

Just got a coolant reservoir tank for Chevy Cruz, the worker was extremely rude(lady with long straight hair worked on Saturday). I told her that they are charging us more than the Amazon and she rudely states do you want to buy here or at Amazon. Awful customer service on the first hand, and on the second hand they charge something called a guarantees fee on the product without explaining what that is! Never going here again!!!!

Someone with a spreadsheet, lacking any understanding of cars, has ruined this place. Too bad. Probably got bought out by a hedge fund. Update - New fees. I mean, they are the cheapest option for some parts. But not by much. And not by what the website suggests. And if you want to be able to return it, it’s not any cheaper at all. The only folks this place still adds any value for are people who make less than $15/hour. And are those the folks you want to be milking for every dime possible. Feels very similar to the pay day loan business model. At least on the retail side. I can’t speak to the recycling aspect. And let’s be honest, the “environmental fee”….. well, it’s obvious they are regulated by an understaffed and underfunded government agency. They are only environmental by the nature of preventing the manufacture of new goods. … look at all the A/C hoses that they cut. No way they are capturing all that refrigerant. To say nothing of all the hydrocarbons and coolant on the ground.

Prices have increased to the point your better off buying new and the place is a borderline scam. New engine policy in place makes engine prices insane. Out the door no warranty price for a 4 cylinder can go upwards of 800. They they are then asked over 400 for a ford 8.8, absolutely crazy. Customer service was good a few years ago. They replaced all of them with low wage workers, they don't care about their jobs or customers. Better off not going to this place, makes the trip up to KC and OKC it's worth it again. LKQ is a horrible company, I'm honestly surprised they stay in business. Update 2024: To add insult to injury on how bad their customer service is, the phone number gets you into a call tree. The end result of the call tree is always go to the website then it hangs up... How is this place still in business?

I had went to get a wiper motor, purchased a wiper motor with their "90-day guarantee" took pictures of the receipt and left. After the wiper motor failed, within warranty time, I went back to exchange the motor. I was then told that my clear pictures of the receipt taken on there counter were not enough and that I needed the original receipt to get a refund. Then not only did they put the warranty on the next motor I bought but they refused to remove it when I went out checked my receipt noticed they put it on without asking and asked for it to be removed.

To profit from a visit here, your vehicle needs to be one many don't have because every vehicle looks as pictured or worse. The details on the website are pretty correct but since so many people come in, you need to be a hawk to even get something good. Everything's smashed up or broken, scratched or dented. It smells so horrid you might pass away before you even make it back to the entrance. I'm not even gonna talk about the employee experience because it was non existent. Its 3 dollars a person and you bring your own tools which is a pretty good deal, but it's Russian roulette as to whether or not you'll get something. Ultimately I looked through 5 vehicles and found absolutely nothing I could use, and at the end of it I was still out that money, plus the employee experience, and that smell.

S/0 to carter ! He needs a promotion and a raise his costumer service is immaculate! He made me feel like family , went and got me a fresh cold water without even thinking about it . He’s fast and efficient ! The rest of the staff is amazing and the parts are very affordable

I'll keep my review clear and concise. The place was fairly clean and the staff was helpful enough. All was good till I got to the checkout counter. Their prices are astonishingly absurd. The appeal of these types of businesses (spend your time [which can, in some cases, be very long when looking for a vehicle and part thats in adequate condition] and your money doing the labor) was completely thrown to the side when you expect me to pay higer-than-new prices for a used part with generally no guarantee (even though yes, you can pay extra for the situation where your part does not work). Prior to visiting I had looked what NEW prices were for the part I needed and my total would have been something like $130. PYP wanted $260. Sorry, but this business has lost its purpose and appeal - especially to certain demographics of people. Next time I will not waste my precious time and I'll ship online.

The website does not have all the inventory as I put it on there and it gave me no results on pricing or availability. And when I call the location it always hangs up on you and their automated system is not helpful at all.
- SSeaDoinIt
Great place to get parts, fairly good vehicle inventory system. Got a winning lotto ticket recently, due to them
- SShinkle Kirk
They did not honor their price online. The kid that was over the parts wouldn't even look at you when you talked to him When you asked questions, he was very rude and disrespectful. You would think having a business like this that They would honor their prices even if it's online. It's their websit I come here quite often being mechanic. And it's really sad that this is how they treat their customers. Very disappointed

My husband and I drove 2 1/2 hrs to/from this location because he looked online and found a part that was listed on their website. We paid an entry fee of $3/each and were told by this person that the only thing they show missing on the vehicle is the horn. We looked at two separate vehicles that showed the part that we needed available. The first car we looked at didn't have the part. The second car we looked at had two parts but they both had locks in them so we couldn't get them. As we are walking back inside, we see a gentleman messing with several rims. He asked what we were looking for and we told him, he allowed us to look at what was there. He also told us that once a car has been on the lot for a week they remove tires/wheels and scrap the wheels. Then we go inside and the second lady asked if she could help and I said "Yes, update your website." Then we got into a conversation about how their website was up to date. We left as very dissatisfied non-customers. We will no0t be returning to any of these locations in the future. My suggestion, Don't mislead people into believing you have a very rare item in stock that indeed you don't. There should be a way to update your system. You should not charge people to walk into your establishment to pull their own parts. Charge a little more for the parts that are pulled off and your yard wouldn't look so trashy around the vehicles. Bad business!!!!!!!! I could say more but I won't. The pictures show the cars that the part was supposed to be available on.

Great place to get used car parts for cheaper prices. Their prices are listed online as well as the specifics of cars in their inventory. They also provided me with a map of the yard so that I can find all the cars that fit my part requirements. Once you find the numbers spray painted on the cars, the layout is pretty intuitive. Unfortunately, they cannot guarantee that certain parts haven't already been taken so it's a small gamble. The entry fee isn't terrible though so it's not that much of an inconvenience. I plan on checking PYP first when working on any future automotive projects.

Prices on some things are fair. Others are EXTREMELY overpriced. Local salvage that provides parts and they pull them is often cheaper and more convenient. Before running this place all day for the part you need to be absent. I advise researching thoroughly all comparable routes. Often this place will nickel and dime you here and there and everywhere on each piece. Examples being if you buy a relay center with the components attached (I. E: fuses, relays, ect.) You will pay for the center and every single inserted piece. If you buy a bumper cover and it had fog lamps. You will get charged for the cover, lamp, bulb, bracket and plastic grille insert in the bumper cover. Just know nothing is included in any assembly. The price plus inconvience of running the yard for likely broken or unavailable part inventory. Is often not worthy of time spent. Sub: Staff is always friendly and as helpful as possible. They often know answers to common yard related questions and provide quality customer service.

The lady at the counter was very helpful and had amazing customer service.

Never ask for a quote.I asked then how much a bucket seat botton cushon and cover would be was tols $25.01 went back next day it was $44.85.they told me after you pull part they can adjust price.and the $9.00 warantee fee was manditory on a pice of foam?
- AAmber Hargitt
$3 and a quick and easy process going in, and quick to check out and leave. Bags are visually checked going in and out. The lot is organized and vehicles are marked and mapped. Use the tools on the website to look up your parts and you're all set.
- MMatthew Cooley
Decent selection of vehicles but most of them are pretty picked over. Majority of employees have terrible attitude/poor customer service. Be aware that they ring up every possible fee they have, you have to specifically tell them you don’t want their worthless warranty/guarantee. Poorly posted policies has a scam like feeling.
- TTyler Taylor
wouldnt hurt to have better customer service over the phone. or even a local number to call. instead of getting redirected to California. they expect you to drive over there without knowing pricing, and their pricing descriptions arent always right. everyone calls parts different names. just want so clarity on something before i make the 1 hour trip over there. pathetic
- JJohn Williams
Can't reach Wichita location by phone to ask parts (not listed on website) & entry fee questions. Call center operator was rude & said I need to go there physically, which is a 3 hour round trip! Screw this business! 0 stars if I could! Be aware of contradictions like warranty fees on all parts, but sign says "all sales final & parts all sold as is'.
- tterry mason
Was quoted a cheaper price for a door handle to find out after pulling it off it doubled in price and was more expensive than to buy a new one at ORiley’s . Would not recommend wasting your time to pay more than you can buy a new part for.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. The weekend manager needs to learn some manners and people skills. My son was injured (not life threatening)on the property Saturday and unable to walk out and in great pain. Rather then showing a lill remorse and letting me drive my vehicle into retrieve my injured son I was forced to call 911 and have an ambulance bring him out. The whole time there did they didtnt send1 staff member down to even check on us.
- RRaul Noriega
Great experience for my first visit I didn't grab much but they had what I needed. Only downside is the layout or directions I received were very poor. I think they should have markers for each section; Ford, Gm, Foreign, Etc as well as the aisle letter. Simple signs would suffice even. Just use some scraps and build a sign with letters or something. Anything to help with guidance around that massive lot of cars since there are no workers out there on the lot.
- TTim Beach
Super unhappy with the manager there! Walked into “pyp” now that it’s not Lkq to hear a manager ripping his employees about cell phone usage and customer service while a customer and me were waiting to be checked in. Guys and girls up front are awesome and helpful have gotten to know a good chunk of them. Loved Lkq! Don’t like pyp! Get the old manager in there! New guy is going to make the customer base bounce! Been going every weekend for years… don’t see my self or my buddies going back there!
- RRodney Clements
Fairly frequent customer. Now, when you checkout, they automatically add an "additional warranty" on your purchase without asking if you want it. It is an "option", but you have to let them know you don't want it at checkout. Yes, they have it posted at their entrance on protective shields, but I missed it, and I'm sure many others will too. They initially said they couldn't refund my money after the sale. I asked to speak with a manager and he did refund it for me "this time" only (which thankfully he did at least). They should ASK their customers at checkout if they want this additional warranty, NOT just add it on without saying anything. Not a good way to treat your customers in my opinion. Considering that some people will never look at their receipt. I'll likely consider other options for all of my future parts after this.

I called in to ask the price of a rear bumper and the lady told me it was $40+core. But at the check out they told me it was $65, so I asked why, and the associate told me that the 90 day warranty was 12 dollars. I asked if that is mandatory, the associate dodged the question and said it was automatically applied. He could have told me that this was optional and I would have immediately asked him to remove it. I walked out with confusion. When I went home I looked up this warranty online and learned that this was optional. I went back to the store the next day, described the situation to the associate, but I was asked to speak to the manager, which won't be in until tomorrow. The lady associate attempted to debate me, questioning that it was written everywhere, they have been doing it for a long time and that I should have seen it. Great, what do they need her for then if everything is informed so greatly by these signs? This is dishonest business practice, the first associate applied the 90 day warranty without my permission, and when i raised the concern, he had responded dishonestly. The second lady associate was simply rude, and she made the situation worse. I don't mind if they raise the price up front, but there is no need to cheat customers.

This was hands down the best place I've been to in Wichita! It's literally like a car themed amusement park, and I'll definitely be going back many times just to have a good time
