9/30/21Whoever the gentleman is that does the Jennings Dr route in Leroy today is awesome. Had to bring out cardboard boxes last minute and he waited for it and was very polite. And he even wheeled my can back up the driveway for me after knowing I was going to slightly delay him with the boxes.I also own my own business and can spot a great worker and professional company when I see it, good job Major Waste.Was very friendly and helpful.Service: Junk removal

We added recycling to our trash pick up. After paying for the extra can and paying a monthly fee, I was appalled to see them dump my recycling in with the regular trash!!! I called the office to report the issue. I was told that someone checked the bin and said it was not recycling. I have been recycling for 30+years and my recycling was clean and only appropriate items in the tote. I am still awaiting my return call from the district manager after 2 days! Likely to just find another service we can trust.

Their services are second to none the drivers and workers are very conscientious often times my cans get blown over from the Highwinds and the workers make sure that they go and pick up everything that they possibly can.They have never left a mess and I truly enjoy their service.We have been their customers for over 25 yearsService: Junk removal

I have used Major Disposal in both my personal and professional life for numerous construction jobs. I would highly recommend Major for all your disposal needs. I wish I could use them for my residential service but the city I’m in will not allow it. I always have great communication with Christy when a dumpster is ordered and they are always on time. I am able to call and arrange drop off / pick up of dumpsters easily. I will continue to do business with Major for many years to come. I had a different trash hauler when we first moved in here, after poor communication with the trash hauler, randomly just picking up my trash toter because the previous resident said to cancel it (we had been with the trash hauler for 6 months at this point) I called Major, they had a toter to me same day! The trash company always lets the customers know if they are behind due to holidays ect. They always put the toter half way up the driveway away and have even grabbed it when i forgot to put it out to the road. We switched to Major at least 6 years ago after being dissatisfied with the company we were using. Have been happy ever since. Thanks for doing a great job.

We wound up with Major Waste because our previous hauler sold to them -- so not by our choice. Nonetheless, we hung in there and stayed with them. Big mistake. Their policy on picking up anything besides what's in the toter is unclear and inconsistent. Sometimes they pick up things not in the toter and sometimes they don't. When I called to ask for clarification on why they took those things sometimes and not others, they couldn't give me a straight answer. So after checking out Dumpster Bandit who has a very clear, customer-friendly policy on this, I called Major Waste to terminate our service. When I asked for a refund on the balance of the payment I made to them for the quarter, the answer was that they don't refund if we terminate. Not to mention that the person on the line was sullen and unfriendly.They will also be losing my account picking up for my business.Run -- don't walk -- away from this company. Unethical and not customer-friendly.EDIT to respond to their response: My concerns were misrepresented to you by your staff. I was not asking for you to list everything you would or would not take. I asked for a clear and concise policy about when you would take things outside the toter and when you wouldn't. Your staff could not answer that question. Dumpster Bandit, however, will always take things -- regardless. I have no problem paying for extras. I just could never figure out why you would leave things behind. Terrible for recycling - they throw it in the trash!We’ve had Major Disposal for years, fortunately with no issues for quite a while, but that changed when we moved and transferred service to our new home almost a year ago. At our new address, we were not seeing a separate recycling truck like we used to, so we got up early to see what was going on when the garbage truck came, and both our garbage and recycling cans were being emptied into the garbage truck! Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we called Major to see if this was normal and if they had trucks equipped for dual pickup...the office said they didn’t and that shouldn’t be happening, and got in contact with their driver to correct the issue. They then returned our call with a different tune, accusing us of having a pizza box in the recycling, which was 100% not true (1. We watched the driver not even check the recycling bin before emptying into the garbage truck, and 2. I do not eat dairy and we do not order pizza, so we knew there was no way a pizza box was in there). Since the incident, the garbage men have spent the past few weeks looking through our recycling with a flashlight and have not been taking it with the early garbage pickup, but I was not able to watch what sort of truck picked it up later. Then, they missed a week and by night, our recycling bin was still full because pickup never came. Now, this week, we are back to recycling going into the truck with the garbage...just witnessed it again and I am furious!

Helpful and friendly staff when I have needed to call. Good prices of trash removal, and when I called to arrange pick up of other household items they gave me a good price.

Can you love a garbage company? Yes you can. I keep seeing negative reviews because people couldn’t get a refund. I had to pay a whopping additional fee to discontinue with my previous company so consider yourselves lucky.Switching is saving me $33 a quarter. May not seem like much but they also pick up my recycling every week instead of every other. Between that and actually being able to speak to a friendly human being when I call and getting a response from a friendly human being when I email... priceless.
