Got super lucky in this visit. Not only was the vehicle i was looking for the first on the lot (out of probably about a thousand), but the part i was looking for had already been detached from the steering wheel and was laying on the floor in front of the driver's seat. Better yet, when i got it home, it installed easily and worked perfectly. It just doesn't get any better than that.

They charge full retail prices for parts. You're way better off just buying new. They also show no care for their customers. It's more of a fffk off kinda mood around there. PS they also charge for parts that are not on the parts u take

Fun but frustrating. Don't bother if you're looking for body panels, and not just because they buy wrecks. I think they lack care prepping vehicles. I went in because I needed a new door and mirror. The posted photo looked fantastic. Just 5 days after placing the vehicle the mirror was ripped off and the door was dented. I suspect they smashed it with the loader. But, if you can find what you need it's cheap. I can regularly find parts for 1/3 the cost of new.

I called the local number regarding a vehicle that I wanted to sell for parts, got switched to some headquarters data base, Not a problem. I gave them all of the info they requested and they informed me to just take the vehicle to the local "pick and pull" yard and give them the phone number for a reference number to pull up the agreement. Sounded like a simple transaction. When I arrived at the local Pick and Pull location, everything changed. WOW!!! I now have another location that I'd love to park that car!!!

The management and staff out in Carson city are the best. You can tell that they appreciate their customers and they appreciate your business. I make a special trip out my way from California just to go there. The manager is very reasonable, helpful and understanding. They always go above and beyond for me and make sure that you have a great experience visiting them. By far the best yard and service out of all the other places in the Northern Nevada/California area. And I've been to them all! I just can't say enough great things about the staff over there. Keep up the great work guys. I will always recommend this place to anybody. Good customer service is hard to find these days and they continue to exceed all expectations. Many thanks to the manager and his team for everything they do. I will always be a loyal customer to the Carson city P & P. You guys rock!

Pleasantly surprised! Very well organized! Helpful, friendly staff. Great online support. The Carson City one is the only one that I have been to, but if the rest are even half as well put together... someone has a really good business plan and execution.

Clean facility with a good selection. New vehicles arrive regularly. Always been able to find what I need. Staff is very helpful. Excellent customer service. I had an issue with a set of tires, the manager was very understanding and credited the purchase amount towards another set no problem.

Not worth it. Pay more than a new part or the same as other yards but you have to go pull the part yourself. They're not a junkyard they're a scrapping business. You're just there to help strip the scrap metal.

Called before going out there. I'm looking to replace my spare, do you carry rims? *yes* Do you have a list? *no, they're in the store. You bring the pattern and measurements needed & look through whats there* So, I don't have to go in the yard or bring any tools? *nope* Costs? *All different, depends* Do I need to talk to a certain person when I come in? *no anyone should be able to help you* ---- I Drive out there ---- No one at the front (maybe check-in) so I step around to the cashier - where I stand out of his way until he finished with his current customer. As I step up to ask where the rims were, another customer slides in front of me. I said "excuse me", to this young white male cashier before he started helping the guy that slide in front of me. He turned from his cash register and A VERY stern, rude & a bit scary tone told me "you need to wait". My 70+ yr old mother wanted to whack him with her cane, "such behavior". I sent her back to the car... 10 minutes already. Now its my turn! I step up and tell this young man how rude he was, how I was politely waiting my turn. He Grabbed onto and Held the counter (he was working at) with such force, a gal co-worker told him to leave & ask me what I needed. I said I called about a rim & I brought my measurements. She tells me "we only sell by the set". WHAT? MY ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WAS BAD, UPON BAD. Training should be required & the young male cashier fired. He is NOT a people person! The gal wasn't concerned at all over a bad review... if this is the "locals" of Carson City now, I'm glad I moved.

drove all the way from gardnerville, arrived at 4:20pm to learn that the yard closes at 4:30pm "starting today (Mon. 10/17/2022) for winter hours". Google shows that they are open until 6p.m. Pick-n-Pull has in quotations "yard closes 30 minutes before closing time". After working all day, I thought i would have an hour. Now I have to wait two weeks before I can afford to make it back up there. I'll just pray that I dont get in an accident in the meantime with my broken seatbelt. (thats what I was going there for, a seat belt) With this economy/gas prices, this type of misinformation & lack of communicating updates could effect some people severely. This information should be updated with google and pick-n-pulls websites.

It would be really cool if they abided by the policies listed on their website it's awesome showing up at the last second and finding that they have added on extra restrictions after driving over an hour to get here

This place used to be fine, but now all their trucks/SUVs are resting on the ground with no wheels. That makes it really hard to get some parts off. Basically any suspension or anything underneath are now inaccessible. Employees are indifferent. Also good luck finding a wheeled cart. I’m not sure what happened. But like everything else I’m sure they’ll just blame Covid for how much they now suck.

This is the last place I'd go for used auto parts. first they charge two dollars for you to go attempt to find a part. The depending on who you ask the price can be vastly different. That is cause I feel some of the people are pocketing a little extra cash. For an example I just called them and ask about a gas peddle for an 89 Suburban. The first price was $56 dollars, then it it became $15.56. Now mind you new this part cost $20.00. So at the lowest price 15.57 plus the two dollar entry charge that part comes to 17.56 plus tax. What a deal? Huh? This is not the first time I've had such an experience. The last time it was for an old old 87 Chevy window handle. One person said it would be $3.00 plus the $2.00 entry charge. Then when I get back with the part that I had to remove they wanted $15.00. So this window roll up handle cost 3.00 new in a package. Pick & Pull is a big rip off. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing here. I have dealt with auto junkyards since I was 14 years old, thats better than 40 years ago. That is from Ohio, to Florida, Oregon and Idaho. For small parts like the window handle, or the gas peddle they use to give them away to get you to come back to buy the bigger parts. So for the 2 dollar entry fee they should be glad to give away window and door handle for old autos. Not what it cost for a new part. Some people just don't know how to run a good business. Hey Pick and Pull wise up!

A pathetic version of it's past self. Overpriced, rude staff that look like homeless people, no kids allowed, and you have to sign a waiver just to get in... don't waste your time, you'll get better prices online.

So upset with the company that picks up junk cars for you guys right now. I believe they call themselves Cash 4 Junk Cars. I had an appt window today between 12-4pm, and they insisted I be there in person. So I took off work at 11:30 to make sure I was here in time. After waiting 4 hrs without so much as a call I called and spoke with a gentleman who said you didn't even have a truck coming to Dayton today. I explained my situation and instead of rescheduling with me he lied again and said someone would still be out. So I cancelled my plans for Halloween night(on top of missing 1/2 a day of wages). Still not even so much as a phone call from these people! If this review looks familiar to anyone it's because I will post it on every web site I am allowed to post it on, and I will tell everyone I know or come into contact with not to use your service as you folks have the worst customer service ever! and even worse you don't seem to care! I only hope the owners of this company are ok with you are running it into the ground! The last thing your call center rep said to me today was have a nice day. So you do the same.

I'm from out of state, visiting a friend and I heard their half off sale advertised on the radio. I'm not sure if their selection is average for this area, but they didn't have any trucks newer than and around 2000. I didn't find any GM trucks newer than the 98 body style (I was looking for 99-07) so I was a little agitated that I paid $2, walked the entire yard, then had to wait in line for them to check my bag. I feel like they should refund your money if you don't buy anything. Most yards in my area don't charge. I heard someone else complain that they got rid of half their inventory and didn't tell them when they came in, so they too had wasted $2. On my walk back, again, I'm not sure if this is typical for this area, most of the car models I saw just looked like pretty undesirable pre-2000's? American cars. nothing really caught my eye. That's usually half the fun for me going to yards; to check out cool cars that I could pull parts of if I wanted

Love this place! Some employees more than others, if you can't afford the part you're looking for brand new they generally have it here and it's well worth the price! Not to mention they have a parts members rewards card as well as warranties that last longer than 30 days on certain parts. If you need a cheap vehicle come here first just make sure you are mechanically inclined

A nice, well organized wrecking yard, with rotating inventory, a knowledgeable staff, and great prices. I stopped on my way through town one Sunday and found a part for my pickup I had looking for, for 6 years. Out of a huge yard of vehicles they directed me right to three vehicles and their locations on the lot that matched my needs!

Certainly a pillar of the community! The recycling and therefore the environmental balancing nature of this wonderful used automotive parts and accessories MECCA the needs and health of the patrons across socioeconomic strata prove its powerful and productive heart as a resourceful necessity to all . Thank Goodness for outlets like Pick N Pull ! Be sure to enroll in the rewards program as I’ve already saved $73 in the last 6 months not to mention the already reasonable prices offered !

Went there to get some parts from a wide open lot when I was told that I had to have a mask. I believe that a boycott is in order. I know it is inconvenient but that is nothing compared to the inconvenience bestowed upon us if this is allowed to stand.

Remember, they actually close the yard about half an hour before their stated close time. There are NO signs showing this fact. I showed up today around 5:20pm, and was told THEN that the yard would close in 10 minutes. POST A SIGN STATING THIS! This is why more people are buying online instead of at brick and mortar stored. No snotty staff to deal with...

Went in for a majority of things but didn't find what I was looking for except a small vac line with a couple tees. Not at big deal. Went to check out and dude wanted $3 ON HALF DAY. Could have put in pocket like most people do but no $3 bucks. Left it and really disappointed with pick n pull. Arrangement of cars is also worse. Used to be able to go to section of model and make and it's a little scrambled now. Not a good adventure.

I called twice before making a 4 hour drive to this place because I live in such a remote area and I was assured by an employee that the type of truck I needed parts off of was a manual transmission and that they had 4 trucks that matched my year and model with manual transmissions. I know there's no guarantee that the parts will be there but all the flipping trucks were automatic. The employee I talked to on the phone assured me the trucks had manuals. Waste of time/money and energy.

If you're fixing your vehicle, then you need to stop by here FIRST!!!! One of my favorite places to shop!!! It's not just for the guys, you can find incredible deals on many parts, like tires :) Don't leave without checking the thrift store area, there are random items left in the cars and you can find them here.

I do like this place, nice people and lots of vehicles. I have only been at Pick & Pull about 5 times in the year I have lived close. But I don't care for the return policy of giving credit if something does not work and to pay a fee to walk the lot. I have some newer Challenger, Charger, SRT-10, Dakoda, Ram and some jeeps that are all from 2004 to 2018 and should be able to walk the lot, for many times they will not have the higher end cars, i.e. SRT.

The inventory show the car, after I arrived carson city location after staff confirmed the car still in the yard but found there isnt such car, I drove almost 500 mi. just for the car but it wasnt available, the yard wont even reimbursed gate fee, this is terrible service to anyone who make a trip not even for local customers.

The woman up front asked for my car info for the part I needed. I needed 2 doors and she handed me a list of cars on their lot that would have the rite doors for my car. She said any door from any car on the list would work. So we went and pulled the doors and put them on Im the parking lot. They were not the rite size at all. About a foot to small on all sides. We went back in without even leaving the property to get a refund knowing those were the only doors in decent condition. Nope. Apparently they never refund your money even if it was their mistake. They said it was our fault for not knowing which door to pull. Ummm...ok so why did you take my car info and print me out a guide to all the cars that would work with mine?

Made a trip of 60 plus miles; planned everything else that I needed to do in a larger city to coincide with the trip, which included having glass replaced in my truck; only to be told that the section of the yard that I needed was closed for "at least the next several hours". Meanwhile, I had already dropped the truck off, so I got to stand around in the parking lot for 2 hours, waiting for my truck. Luckily one of the ladies from the glass place noticed my wife and I standing in the cold wind and rushed the truck a little bit, otherwise who knows how much longer it would have been. Saved money down the road a ways at B&R Auto Wrecking and didn't have to go out and pull the part myself.

This place is every diy'ers best dream ever! An awesome selection of vehicles, both foreign and domestic, and the inventory has some of the most completely intact cars and trucks of ANY salvage yard ive been to, and ive used them all across the US. Staff knows thier buisness, and has a computerized inventory cross reference to let you know that there are many options to fit your ride, even if its not the same exact year and model. Place is great.
