Driver towed car that was remote started, about to leave and ignored me when I made eye contact with him, flagged him down to drop the car and he ignored me and drove off. All they care about is money and want to ruin everyone’s day. Would rather ignore someone and get the full money paid than drop the car for a cheaper price. I’ll never understand people who choose a job that they wake up and say.. “I want to ruin people’s day for a living, that’s the job I want.” 0 stars if I could.

DO NOT GET YOUR CAR TOWED FROM THIS COMPANY. They not only DENTED my car but caused a mechanical issue where my car makes a noise when turning it to the right. Pictured is the huge dent in my car. After calling to see if we could negotiate something (after mechanic and body shop estimates) We have been told BY THE OWNER whose name won’t be mentioned that they “have been doing this for 7 years” claiming that they don’t mess up. Don’t give them any of your business is my suggestion. I’d much rather hand push my car on my hands and knees then go through Summers.

If you are going to have a break down and you are in the Morgantown area then Summers Towing is the one to call. Hope you get PJ because he was so committed to service I thought he was owned the company. He called me to tell me he was in route, and he got there in less than 10 minutes. When he arrived he went right to work after changing the tire he was willing to take to the shop and let me pick it up later. When I went to pull out. We realized that my tie ride was bent. He hooked up to my van then took me to Enterprise on high ground and they had a van waiting on me. PJ helped me transfer my cargo and I was on my way. They put two tires on my van at a reasonable price and fixed the the tie rod and did an alignment on it. The most impressive thing was when I was on my way home PJ called me to make sure I was happy with everything. Now that is customer service.

I couldn’t give zero stars, so I gave one. Avoid this company at all costs. Unreasonable and rude. Prey on college students and overcharge for services.

“We Arrived in Morgantown this April after traveling 2,000 miles from West Texas. After an overnight stay in Amarillo, we drove our car back onto the truck carrier, but the rear wheel kicked the right loading ramp out and pitched it about twenty feet behind us. Our car was resting on the right rear axle and half-off the carrier. We made a call at 6:00am on a Sunday morning and within a short time a man arrived who was also from of all places Morgantown! Within half an hour he had removed and driven our car back on the attached ramp and then secured the week ramp with a strap. We continued to our new home and after off-loading our car and parked it in the garage; and the next morning I noticed that we had were leaking both oil and anti-freeze. I drove our 94 Ford Explorer into town to fill her with gas and she really sputtered on the hills. We emailed summers towing and made arrangements for them to pick up our car with their flatbed {rollback} Truck and take it to their repair center. The Mechanics called me with their assessment {nothing major} and replaced the spark plugs and two leaky hoses, changed the oil and filters and returned her on the flatbed to our front door. Since our Betsy is 30 years old, we are very finicky about how she is serviced….some say that in life everyone needs a good doctor and a good mechanic; and we were most lucky to find a shop that was honest in their estimates, knew what they were doing and exercised the precision of a skilled surgeon when working on our car. Thank you once again to everyone at Summers Towing and Repair!” Very respectful and nice people.

See the bad reviews for this place and I had nothing but positives. Had my car break a ball joint at 230-3am in the morning and pj was there within 20-30 mins of the call. Upmost respect for him. I expected the tow to be very high but it was under $250.00. He gave me a ride home as well. No hassle getting my car out this morning didn’t have to pay storage fees since it was there for a day and a half due to it being the weekend and the office being closed. I will most certainly use them again if I ever need a tow again. The driver was great and sympathetic knew his stuff. The office manager was respectful and very fast at getting me out of the door. The negative energy I see here on the other reviews are people who illegally park. The drivers have a job it’s called getting illegally parked cars off lots and stranded motorists to safety

I locked my keys in my car because my fob died. I called Summers and they got to me in less than 30 minutes. The man I talked to on the phone and Brian, the driver, were very kind and patient. They made me feel comfortable in such an embarrassing situation! Thank you! Side note: I called another towing company and waited over an hour...no response- and they are located three minutes from my residence! They wanted more money than Summers to unlock my car.

Our daughter parked illegally and got her car towed. Her mistake…her fault. Nonetheless, a very frustrating and stressful situation being 3 hours away and on a Saturday. Tyler helped us navigate the situation and walked us through the steps in order to get the vehicle back. He was very kind and beyond helpful. Yes her mistake cost a lot of money, but it wasn’t the company’s fault. They were just doing their job. Tyler went out of his way to make a miserable situation much easier to get through. Very much appreciated.

I was turning on to a street and got flipped off for only giving the guy 50 feet of my lane to make a right turn. Hire some guys that can drive and aren't angry at the world. Pathetic. Update. Mgr called me back after I complained and said his trucks aren't out.. if you see a rogue flatbed with summers towing on the side call Mike and let him know so he can get to the bottom of it.

We had a flat tire on our Uhaul trailer and Uhaul selected Summers to assist us. They made it to us in less than an hour, updated us on their whereabouts on the drive over, and gave us professional, quick, and friendly service to get us back on the road. We are so grateful for their help!

Came here because I have a truck parked with them. I pay $150/month for bobtail. Absolutely Terrible customer service, very rude older man and woman. I’m always very friendly even when I’m paying a bill or having a bad day. The last time I went there were new employees and they were actually nice. Hopefully it stays that way. They are the only reason I didn’t give them 1 star ⭐️ they definitely deserve it

I had an emergency while out of town in an unfamiliar area and needed a tow to a place an hour away on a Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend. The weather was warm and I had my dog with me. I called Summer (the 4th place I tried!) and the woman I spoke with was extremely helpful and patient, as I'd never had a tow before, didn't know quite where I was or how far I needed to go, and had my dog. She said the truck would be there in an hour; it arrived in 50 minutes. Tyler was extremely professional and kind. He called to confirm my location and updated his eta. He sorted out my car, was GREAT with my dog, and very reassuring throughout the whole process. Paperwork at the end was a breeze. I'm so thankful I found this company. In the unfortunate event I'm in the area and need a tow again, I'll be sure to call them first!

Literally the worst experience I've had at any business. I was towed for a legitimate reason (no permit) from a nearly empty parking lot. When I arrived to pay the fee to bail out my car, the employee told me my car was towed because he was bored that night and decided to go on a towing spree and towed 9 other vehicles because he had nothing else to do. I handed him my $250 and he goes on to complain about all the long hard hours of work he has to put in. Not what I wanted to hear while he was busy ripping me off.

Our car had an oil leak and started smoking outside about 2 hours outside of Amarillo. Some kind officers came to check on us and called Summer Towing to get us out. Jeff was helpful and profesional.

Recently, my vehicle encountered a mechanical issue that required it to be towed to a service station. My insurance company said the soonest they could get someone out was in 3 hours. I hung up the phone, called these guys and within 20 minutes there was a tow truck sitting in front of my vehicle. The driver was kind and courteous, the tow truck wasn't immaculate, but clean enough that I didn't mind riding shotgun. Ten minutes after is arrival, we were on our way. I actually picked this company due to the higher review average and we laughed at how hilarious it was that towing companies all seem to get bad reviews because NOBODY is in a good mood when they need a tow and they take it out on the person who they didn't expect to have to pay that day. Not only did he tow me for the fee discussed, , after I had paid him, I asked how much he'd charge to give me a lift to the car rental agency. He replied that he'd be happy to do it for free. So, in summation...fast service, courteous driver, nice truck, good price and a free shuttle at the end. Five Stars in my opinion.

They were very quick to respond. I had a leak in my break line and could not drive the vehicle so it had to be towed. Driver was great...told me that they do repairs as well. Indeed, they fixed my leaky break lines and got me back on the road. This has been a very positive experience.

Would HIGHLY recommend using another tow company. After hooking up to our vehicle the tow driver said he couldn't take our vehicle where we wanted because it was snowing but was going to charge us 100 dollars no matter what. He drove it 6 miles to a pull off and we had to call another tow company.

THIEVES ALERT !!! Absolute CROOKSSSSSS. do not use them at all. Just used them today. They told me 100 to tow and when they reached the destination they charged me 500. DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL. I hope they go out of business soon. I stood there and fought with driver / owner / dispatch did not listen to me at all. In fact told me they will impound the car. I will definitely be making formal complains about them where I can. These people are heartless.

My hat is off to the roadside and wrecker crew that came out to me on the top of 68. The drivers put there lives on the line daily to help out stranded drivers, please remember that the next time you pass a disabled vehicle on the side of the road and you choose not to move over. Response time was quick and they were very professional.

My axel went out in me in Smithfield, PA. It was late, I couldn't find any other towing service and I called Summers. They were professional and courteous over the phone and after a bit of discussion they sent a truck out to tow my car to their garage. I can't say how long it took them to get there as I had a ride pick me up. They called me the next day to tell me that my car was ready to go! The total for the tow was only $150, all the way from Smithfield! I ended up leaving paying $450 for everything and my car ran great! Good, fast service and at hours that most other companies are unreachable.

I was stuck this winter along baker's ridge while working. Summers Towing came out within 20 and freed my car from an embankment. They were very nice and professional. They were considerate of the cost, given my location and the effort required to free me. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Sadly, I can't give this place a lower rating. These guys try to make picking up a towed vehicle the biggest pain in the ass. Called to see if they had my vehicle and wasn't told that I need to tell them I am on my way so they can send someone or that they take CASH ONLY. Plus I had to call 3 times and wait 45 minutes before anyone showed up. Also, once a driver finally arrived he told me an even higher price than the guy on the phone had given me. Try to stay away from the lots these scumbags are responsible for.

I had a flat tire on the highway at 8am. I was on my way to class so I was in a hurry. They answered my call right then, came to get my car within 30 mins and towed my car to granville auto center at walmart. Great service and very polite! Made it to class and had no issues!

My vehicle was towed from the Mile Ground due to the Monongalia County Sheriff's department. Whom gave me one reason after another for my vehicle being towed. Summers stated the Sheriff didn't have them write the reason for tow like normal so the towing company cannot tell me why it was towed. I have tried to pay over the phone for my vehicle multiple times and have been told to call back during their normal business hours since the answering service didn't know what payment methods are accepted. Unfortunately with it being the last day of the month and first of a new month I was unable to call the company during business hours. I run a business and am there from the early morning til night daily. With it being the time of the month it is I literally got now extensive break to make a phone call and pay for my vehicle. I called multiple times; once Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Saturday evening I finally got someone willing to help at the answering service by getting a driver to call me back. However the driver didn't know what payment method I could pay for my vehicle with. He then called the "owner" who told Andrew the driver I was speaking with that only cash is accepted for payment. So my question is, what is someone supposed to do in the middle of paychecks and only has a credit card with the funds needed for a tow? Mind you this tow was $226 for towing it 2 miles. This company expects people to pull it out of thin air I guess. Now the kicker to why I am even more livid than ever. My phone calls made Thursday and Friday to the tow company no one ever told me there was a fee for "reopening" which is why a simple tow is over $200 or that there is a $25 daily fee for "storage". As I speak with Andrew the drive after he tells me I cannot speak to anyone whom runs the business until maybe Monday. I say maybe because the owner is" busy" doing paperwork all weekend I was told. But that also Mondays he is busy from that weekends paperwork that he may not get time to call me about my complaint. Waiting to hear from him since he is "busy" mind you I will continue to be charged a "storage" fee. Again I run a business and this is not how it is done folks. Especially to someone whom was just trying to pay to get their vehicle back.

Hit ice on the interstate at 8 am and blew a tire when I hit the the embankment. Called Summers Towing because they are only a few minutes away from my apartment complex. They were there as soon as they could be, loaded up my car by 9 am, made sure everything was working, replaced my tires (with a better brand than I had on them before), and had it back on the road by 3:30 pm. On top of that, they offered to drive me home while they worked on it and picked me up when it was done. Granted, my apartment is very close so they may not offer that to everyone, but they were all incredibly helpful in a very stressful situation. Prices were reasonable and service was excellent. I feel very lucky to have walked away without any injury or serious damage to myself or my vehicle, and I'm grateful to Summers Towing for making a misfortunate day easier to manage. I'll definitely remember them if I'm ever in need of a towing company in the future!

They lied about even coming, all together. Called for a tow outside out Waynesburg, said they would be here in 45 mins. However, waiting a little over an hour, I called back. The woman answering the phone rudly told me a driver already drove out and back and did not see me. Also told me the driver called several times and no answer. She connected my call right away to the driver and he told me he was back in Morgantown and that we would have to pay double for him to come back to us. I never got a call and never gave my number for a call. So you made it passed Waynesburg and back to town in less than an hour. I doubt they ever left...Seriously unreliable careless people!!!! Unprofessional, go with Big Dog Towing!
