I recently bought a passenger door window regulator from Twisted Metal Recycling and Auto Parts for my wifes 2004 Thunderbird. I bought the part over the phone because I live in North Florida. The lady I dealt with is named Kerrie. Before buying the part Kerrie assured me that the part had been tested, that it worked and that I had 90 days to return it for reimbursement if there were any problems.I received the part and took it and the car to Auto Glass to have the part installed. I have dealt with this company for years.They are known to be a reputable company by me and others. They have many contacts for vehicles repairs and do work for the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office. The manager of the shop was to do the work on my car. He said he would test the part before it was installed. Later that day the manager called me and told me that the part could not be used because the cable that raised and lowered the window was broken. He said that the broken end of the cable had been stuck down inside of the roller wheel. He texted me pictures of the cable showing the end that was broken was frayed and rusted.I called Karrie and explained to her that the regulator did not work and why.I texted her pictures of the regulator and the cable. I asked for a refund. She told me that because I had given the part to a third party to be installed they wouldn't give me a refund and she is blamimg them for the broken cable. She knew a third party would be needed and had even recommended using a glass company. The people at Twisted Metal are unethical and dishonest. I will never do business with Twisted Metal Recycling and Auto Parts again. THEY DESERVE NO STARS!! BUT AS A LAST DIG THEY HAVE THE REVIEW SET! YOU HAVE TO GIVE AT LEAST ONE STAR OR IT WONT POST.
