Me being a MOM and former haul truck driver I new when I saw the Vista guy on the side of the road (100ft from my house) looking for large rocks or any type of tool he had to bang out a rock lodged between his duals meant he was like "dang I need to get this out! Otherwise I'll have to call the shop and have to wait, and then get home late, and get my route done late." So me and my 9 year old went out of our way to pull over ask if he needed help. He confirmed he did. We go back home search for some sufficient hammers. We find a few. My son happily runs back to assist the truck driver. All excited, in awe by his big awesome truck. Driver accepts the hammer and busts the rock with in minutes as my son watches. My son returns home, driver thanks us with a kind wave. That's that, glad to help. THEN TODAY I get a call "hey mom they didn't dump our trash. We were watching they dumped everyone's and they passed us😞") I called Vista, apparently "kids were too close to the truck, driver didn't feel comfortable dumping it!" Okay, understandable. My son is a pretty bright kid he's never got too close before and in most cases knows better. But let's just assume he got excited got too close wanted to throw a wave to the "cool" driver he thought he helped last week. As we all know most boys enjoy big trucks in action. Anyhow this driver has still refused to dump my full can, (after Xmas) after 3 phone calls of being told he WAS coming back. I called 10 min after he first drove by, he was still close. I apologized and said I'd talk to the kids, not even knowing whose kids were too close, because we live in a neighborhood with kids everywhere. Called at 4 pm again, this time this lady was EXTREMELY RUDE, the earlier ladies were not. Really long story shorter. Now I'm told "he refuses to come back," he's not dumping it. He claims this is an "on going issue." Lies!! I told her" that's not true have him take pics if so" It's not true because we have trash days on Monday and Thursdays around 11am, those are school days for my kids and all rest on the block he's just being lazy! SHAME ON YOU GRUMPY A** Driver, and Vista for not doing something about it! You had two excited boys just wanting to see your awesome truck dump trash. He thought you were the man he helped last week, which you may or may not have been. All you had to do was honk, or motion with your hand to back up, or even come back when I called. You clearly have things on your mind to make you so ugly inside to still refuse to dump my trash. Also very disappointed with the older lady around 345pm who talked with me and was quit rude and not understanding at all. We get this treatment because we have no choice in this small town. We use Vista because we have to.
