I never imagined I would say, the day my car broke down and was stranded in the middle of nowhere, a day I hope to never forget. My dad and I were driving from Michigan to Denver when the plug to my oil tank completely fell off. I didn't consider road tripping on a holiday weekend an issue. I regret saying we called AAA, Subaru, among others for help and everyone offered us few options. My dad informed me he found someone who would pick us up and he said he had a really good feeling about this guy. Little did I know what I was in for. Mark from Zielke towing was a literal angel. I had a real life Bruce Almighty, is this Morgan Freeman moment. He was a sigh of relief the moment he arrived. Mark assured me that he was going to do everything possible to get us back on the road and boy did he. Not only was the towing experience beyond, he took us to Zielke's repair shop where he got to work on my car immediately. Before that, we was hot on the phone calling people to problem shoot my car issue and figure out solutions. ON A SUNDAY and HOLIDAY WEEKEND another employee or possible owner of the shop, swung by with his kids in car and delegated a solution. It was one of the most phenomenal experiences I've had in my life. I had little hope we would continue our journey home but within a hour or two we were well on our way. It gave my dad and I something to talk about on repeat for 20 hours. They literally saved us. The only down side to the experience is I live in Denver and that I can't regularly visit these guys and have my car worked on by them. I still regret not giving Mark a big hug. He gave me so much more than a safe car that got me home but instilled that there are still good people out in the world just wanting to help each other. Because of Mark I will continue to pay it forward many times over. Mark went above and beyond and had me smiling throughout the entire experience. He not only showed me how he fixed the problem but taught me a lot about my car and how to demand good quality work, which can be hard if you're a girl! If your car is going to break down, fingers crossed it's near Benton Harbor so you can call Zielke's and experience Mark's spirit. We had to clean scrap off a family members property from years of dumping. The staff was always helpful and professional. The manager went above and beyond to help make suggestions and in offering advice to help make this process easier. We are not regular “scrapers” and this was a new process for us. We had several locations in our county to choose from and we’re happy this is the location we chose. My husband and son I think caught the scraping bug and if we ever need a recycling location in the future we will be sure to return to this location for all of our recycling needs.

Found the exact parts I needed online for my Buick Encore, even the same paint code. Called Josh and he was extremely helpful, they even did a special cut for a rear body panel. When I walked through the door the guy said "How can I help you?" I told him I had a broken tail light. Before I could even tell him I was looking for red tape to cover it up, they said "We can't sell you any of that red tape" because apparently it's illegal in Michigan to sell it because it doesn't get you out of the ticket. ARE THEY MIND-READERS?Then they suggested I pick up the used part I needed at August Pohl.I planned to buy red tape there and pick up the part elsewhere but I hadn't expected a referral. (And an excellent referral it was, too!)Would definitely go back.

Unless you like nails in your tires and being cheated, Stay Away. Also, don't believe a word of their response to this feedback. I've never left negative feedback for any business, but BMR earned this one. I brought them 35 pounds of heavy gauge solid copper wire. They quickly removed the pile from the scale and dumped it, then only credited me for mixed-alloy stranded wire (worth 40% less). I'm an experienced recycler, so I wrote to ownership and gave them a chance to make it right. They did nothing. Any business that would rather cheat someone out of $25 instead of working to earn repeat customers is a business to avoid.REPLY TO BMR: No return letter was ever received at either my physical address or email. My letter also contained my home phone number, which was never called. The wire I brought in was standard household copper wiring (romex and cloth covered), not "very heavily insulated" wire, and the nail in my tire occurred during a previous visit to your scrap yard area. As far as checking the payout slip, what good would it have done? The wire had already been comingled with other scrap. I wrote you a polite letter explaining what happened, then waited 2 weeks for a response before leaving this review.

I ordered 3 parts from them and I pay $295 for shipping. When I receive order on palettes one parts was damaged and I call and text with “Tom”. I send him picture where he can look bend damage and he answer me I don’t see any damage. What ? I want refund for that parts and please send me return label but he say I don’t care about you and if you want ship by your self and pay for ship and then they will send refund. I told him I pay $295 for shipping, why I need pay for return. Then I told him I need manager and he say you talk with manager right now. Then I told him give me his Boss and he say you told with him. Please do not ordered parts from them because they don’t care every thing what you buy from them and don’t care about how much you pay for shipping.
