I was appalled. Took it to Padnos who tested it properly (grinder and magnet) and it was indeed carbide. Walked out with 132 bucks. Much better than the $3.30 this guy was trying to give me. I felt as if he knew it was indeed carbide and was tryin to rob me. Won't go there again and won't recommend them
