List of Junkyards in Albany County
I am not a scrapper full-time however I do try to do my part in Recycling and a few extra dollars helps with the budget. I have used a couple other area yards in the past, in my opinion none have come close to this operation, the yard is clean and the staff is knowledgeable and willing to guide you in how to receive the best price for your scrap. Although I only go a few times a year, I brought in a couple loads just yesterday, and they remembered me by name! That's the kind of friendly professional, and fair treatment you can expect from this group.
Thank you guys. I had a great experience. The guy I talked to on the phone was professional and thorough. The tow truck driver picked up my old car out of the yard with ease. Thank you.

Address:2468 Delaware Tpke, Voorheesville, NY (Zipcode: 12186)Phone:Open hours:Open from 09:00 am to 17:00 pmStatus:ClosedI had a flat tire and was able to make it to the Stewart’s across the street. I tried to repair it with my fix a flat kit in the back of my hatch but that didn’t fix the leak. I noticed the Dunston Bros shop across the street and decided to see if there was anything they could do. The gentleman there was very courteous and I explained my situation to him. He didn’t think he was able to help but he walked across the road to take a look anyway. Turn out I needed a new tire and was able to get one through my dealership. However I didn’t want to leave my car at Stewart’s in case it would take awhile to get the new tire so after asking the gentleman if I could leave my car there he said yes without hesitation and even moved a car out of the way so I could have a spot to park mine. I’m so grateful for this man and company for being so kind and helpful in a stressful situation! Thank you so much!

Thank you for taking back my replacement rim after hours today, I greatly appreciate it after a 45 minute drive. Things like this are why I get my used parts through LKQ, have never let me down.

Address:1916 Central Ave, Albany, NY (Zipcode: 12205)Phone:Open hours:ClosedStatus:ClosedRefused to load me, because he was afraid of getting being in the way of someone taking photos because they would “get in trouble”. This Copart is a joke from the top all the way to the bottom.. Jokes on him tho because I could load a car myself 10x faster than him
Posting for my father , he’s a regular but terrible with technology! Best scrapyard around , I’ve been all over NYS and this is by far the cleanest fastest and knowledgeable . Prices are great! Tall guy out front is funny and very attentive . Office folks are pleasant and helpful. 10/10 would recommend.
Worst experience! We called ahead to see if they had people to help us and the women on the phone said yes they would help us move our very heavy cast iron radiators. So when we got there the sign said exit only in very bold print so we went to where it says scale entrance and after we waited a few minutes being ignored by the employee in the building we called again. The very sweet women that we talked to early picked up and told us to ignore the exit sign and go to the scale all the way to right. After they weighed us she said to pull forward and someone would be out to help. So we did just that, pulled up backed in next to pile of scrap until the employee in the machine started yelling to have us park over by him. Well now the machines are loud but waiving your hands like a maniac telling us where to go doesn’t help either one of us. The gentleman had us park in a giant mud puddle because it was easier for him to sit in that machine watching us struggle to get everything out, instead of helping himself or getting someone else to help. So now the we know we aren’t getting help like we were hoping cause it was a process to get these things in now we have to hold up everyone to get them out of the truck. I have never felt so rushed like I did there I had 1 radiator that was pushed out and was right next to our metal bumper and this guy couldn’t even give us a min to get more off the truck before he is picking it up with the magnet. Would have been nice for us to unload it then have him move it to where it needed to go but instead it felt like a mad dash to unload and get out of his way. Unfortunately the only person who should get any kind of shout out was the very nice woman answering the phones. More then likely won’t be back and won’t really recommend to anyone.
Any one wants or need parts quick fix. Yes,thank you.
The only reason I am still doing any type of business here is because they're so greedy and cooked that they are more than willing to allow walk ins with shopping carts overflowing with my scrap metal..they previously were good to me and pretty reasonable but more recently they are literally robbing me and God knows who else, definitely pocketing the money they are stealing from their customers, like me. Maybe the need to be shut down...AGAIN. **SCALES & WEIGHTS** Needs to get over there with the quickness
Easy place to go to and I grew up in the area
