List of Junkyards in Austin City

  • Special Truck and Auto Salvage
    Address:
    10462 FM812, Austin, TX (Zipcode: 78719)

Excellent experience with these guys today, 3/29/25. Worked with Saul and he was good at communicating with me via text and was able to confirm that they had the item available as I was driving from Houston to Austin to pick the item up. He even sent me additional pictures highlighting some minor dents in the panels so I would be aware before driving out. Purchased a truck bed from them and it was still attached to the truck the morning I spoke with Saul. I paid for the item via email link and they had it ready and staged for me by the time we arrived. They loaded the bed onto my flatbed with a forklift, we strapped it down and was back on the road to Houston, all within probably 15 minutes. The condition of the bed was a solid "A" and worth the 3hr drive. This is my first/only experience with these guys, but from what I've experienced, I would highly recommend them. Better call Saul!!

I have been a customer of David's for approximately 15 years, and his parts supply services have consistently exceeded my expectations. He offers very competitive pricing and diligently works hard to find the best possible deals. His extensive experience makes him a highly knowledgeable resource, and he is always ready to assist.

I reached out to have them take my car off my hands. I am done putting money into at this point. I must admit they did reach out to me as soon as possible but came off rather rude. They asked what's wrong with the car. No hello, no thank you for contacting us, no greeting period. I told them what was wrong with my car and they ghosted me. They say they buy a car damage or working but for me that was not the case. That's okay. I found another business to take my car off my hands.

  • Austin Pick-A-Part & Auto Salvage
    Address:
    1319 FM973, Austin, TX (Zipcode: 78725)

  • Vic & Son Used Auto Parts
    Address:
    10209 FM812, Austin, TX (Zipcode: 78719)

Worst experience. Called 1.5 hours ahead. Told me to wait when i got there. When they get to me they get to me, he said. Finally told me as I sat alone inside they didn't have the fender after being told they did , 3 hours before. Went to their competitor and paid half the price they were asking. They really need to update their inventory and take a few classes on customer service.

  • Pick Your Part - Austin
    Address:
7900 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX (Zipcode: 78745)

VonTrae was the man! Been here a handful of times for spare parts over the years, always a good experience. I wish I got the name of the fellow who’s usually working the entrance, he’s a bundle of joy as well. Amazing customer service, and good parts selection as well. Just keep an eye on their website to see their car inventory and you can get a pretty good idea of what condition items you’ll find there, especially after a few visits. Highly recommend over any other salvage yard in Austin. Respect our yards! They are doing God’s work.

  • Austin Express Auto Parts
    Address:
5001 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX (Zipcode: 78745)

Excellent. James went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of. Definitely recommended

  • Browning Auto Parts
    Address:
    11006 S Hwy, Austin, TX (Zipcode: 78747)

DONT PAY BEFORE THEY PULL. MAKE SURE THEY HAVE IT FIRST. Talked to the guy on the phone and he said he had the radiator fan, but I had to purchase before they went to pull it. Paid and showed up only to find out they didn't even have it (first told me it was broke but then said it wasn't there when I said I might be able to use it for parts). Issued a refund that will take 2-3 days to get back. Wouldn't give me cash back for the refund so I had the money to purchase from somewheres else. Now I'm set back at least 3 days from getting it going. Complete BS

  • Amigos Auto Part & AUTO SALVAGE
    Address:
    15300 FM 969, Austin, TX (Zipcode: 78724)

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with an auto salvage company. I sold my vehicle to Amigos Auto Parts & Auto Salvage while I was out of state, and they agreed to pay me once I sent the title. I promptly sent the title, but after 6 months, I still haven’t received a dime. Every time I follow up, I get the same excuses from Jose and Ricardo (the owners) —"sorry, we forgot" or "we’ll get to it soon"—but nothing ever happens. At this point, it’s clear they have no intention of paying me. I was originally dealing with an employee named Douglas, but he’s since left, which I found out is because the company is apparently facing financial problems. It feels like they’re just dragging their feet in hopes that I’ll give up. I’m now forced to pursue collections and bond claims just to try to get what’s owed to me. I’ve been more than patient, but they’ve shown no respect or responsibility. I strongly advise against doing business with Amigos Auto Parts & Auto Salvage. They don’t honor their commitments, and it seems like they’re just trying to scam people on their way out of business. If you value your time and money, stay far away from this place.
