One thing for sure, there are the only scrap yard open on Saturday around Little Rock and that's a plus. They don't pay quite as much as Tenenbaum, but they are open later. The staff is friendly, and they have several different scales to keep people moving. One thing, if you're going to show up on Saturday and make sure you get there early. I've got pictures of the line waiting to get in. I had a good experience at ABC Salvage.

They were fast. In and out. But they pay less that trg and tried not to give a receipt. After I requested one, I saw that I was paid a much lower price on my brass. .40 because they said it was dirty.. which it was not.
- JJoanie Holder
Got there a little before noon and we were the 2nd person in line. It was pretty quick, but as we were leaving there were trucks lined up about 20 deep. I suggest you come early or you're probably going to wait a while.
- MMarc Duckworth
Definitely the worst in the state. They are rude and buy metal at a price that they set. Maybe not everytime but i promise you if you go 3 times you got burned twice. I got more for an old cast iron 4 cylinder engine then i did for an aluminum v6. $17 caat iron, $12 for the aluminum. The aluminun was even striped down and nothig but aluminum. They are cheats so watch out. You wont get a tally sheet with weight, or nothing. That kinda lets you know right off the bat.

I liked this place, extra nice folks, quick service, welcoming, overall good experience.

Don’t recommend taking your scrap here there gonna give you the littlest they can an when I went up to the desk to get paid for the scrap I brought didn’t even tell how much the weight was an didn’t even tell me how much I was getting paid for it just open the draw an pull 30 out an that was it for a truck bed full definitely don’t come here

*** THE BOOM OPPERATORS KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, THEY ARE THE STANDARD WHEN LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO OPPERATE THE CLAW WITH EASE AND EXPERIENCE*** Easy to get in and out of you aren't using the money to pay your bills. Very tight turns, you need to be proficient if you have a trailer.
- TTasha
Long long line but they were fast and friendly!

Every one was nice except for one guy who started yelling at me and cussing cause I threw something into the pile I shouldn't have but I honestly didn't know they wouldn't accept it. Was my first time there. Dude could've just said hey we can't take that. Anyway it's a scrap yard. Got paid 40$ for a trailer of appliances and metal. I was fine with that. I just wanted to get rid of the stuff. Good people work there though. You be nice to them and they're nice to you. They have tough jobs.
- NNathan Narveson
I've been twice in 5 months and they recognized me and helped me out with some ideas for a project I was doing. I was in and out quickly despite them being very busy. They have a great operation and fair price on the various scrap metals brought in.
- JJeff Underwood
Most wonderful experience in my life. Lucy was very helpful! The owner is always on site. I will visit this place again and again.

They got 20 of my bags of can only paid me 30 and would not take the last bag my boys 9 and 10 worked hard to collect them and even helped them load the cans on to thier metal table they had I have a video and pic thies people have no respect of others and I honestly believe it had to with the skin color my one boy has just remember that this place made to little boys cry because of how they treated them and then refused to give them more service dont go here n e where else is better then here. Gr hey will judge you and still from you dont let them the one star they dont deserve it but I had to to leave this comment the truth they get 0 stars
- EEaston Modlin
Pretty sure they scammed me on the payout
- MMargo Rincher
Love Ms. Louri at the can house she's the hardest worker u got! Always have a great experience dealing with my cans and stuff 😉
- AAaron Briggs
I've always had a good experience. I don't do this as a job, but I am aware that instead of taking things to the dump I can get paid for them. I have always been pleasantly surprised at the amount of money I've received for my goods. Was quick today!
- DDowner Arroyo
Good ppl here and good scrap prices
- HHaley Shultz
Great place to scrap anything u need to scrap. Prices they payout are fair, the employees are very helpful , very polite and respectful as well. For a scrap yard I give major kudos on the cleanliness, how well organized and the simple smoothe process from entry to exit of this well established business has. I'm very impressed with this place and will be returning. Most recycle centers have stuff all over the path u have to drive on not ABC Salvag3 and scrap metal, this place does well 2ith the upkeep!

Great customer service.
- AAR Dave
Other than aluminum cans the different metals accepted and category you'll be compensated in is not explained or known until you review your receipt (if you request it). A better explanation for beginners could assist in better pre sorting of metals

I've never been to a place where you sell any kind of scrap and don't get a receipt or have to provide a DL. I sold two of my catalytic converters, some old guy looks for two seconds and says $10. Says they're aftermarket and all he can do is $10, then some other guy walks up and tries to explain how they're aftermarket. I still have my serial numbers and did a little more due diligence and found out that I should've went somewhere else and could've got atleast $250 guaranteed. I never provided and type of I.D and never recieved a receipt. Lesson learned, just chalk that up to a life lesson.

Pretty well organized operation. Staff was nice and helpful.... I will take all my future scrap to these folks

Biggest rip off ive ever experienced . The government doesn't even rip off people this badly. Dropped off 200 lbs of insulated #1 copper, and they gave me $30.00. Went to TNB the same day with the same wire type and got $150.00 for just 100 lbs! There is no justification, and unlike the other yards that are legitimate, they give you zero paperwork. Whatever you do, avoid this place like the plague because they do not trade honestly. Horrible horrible horrible! .

I needed to buy some scrap metal to repurpose in another project. They refused to sell me anything. They said it is a liability issue. When I was a teenager, I used to buy scrap metal from salvage yards to make other things out of it. I remember even crawling around on some of the piles of metal. If you got hurt, nobody blamed the salvage yard. I know that was a couple of decades ago, but still, if a salvage yard won't sell you salvage, then why are they called a salvage yard? Shouldn't they detach salvage from being associated with them and call themselves a scrap yard? You can always have people sign wavers before entering.
- DDee Elkins
The guys there were friendly and helpful. It is important to read all their signs and follow the instructions. I was a little worried about running over a nail or screw somewhere, but they kept roads fairly clean inside the gate, it's just outside the gate to Stagecoach you might have to worry about, lots if trash out there. It was very interesting to watch them work with the big machinery.
- CCherokee Taylor
Great prices great people good service dannys always done people right
- DDianna Quarrles
If i could i would give a negative 10. They said they would no longer buy from us because we said something about they had the weight wrong. So instead of admit and fixing the problem they lost a customer. Not to mention said they would fire the lady that said that our weight was wrong also. Dont go to this place their scales are very wrong. We got shorted 500 lbs and said something now they wont buy anything.
- OOwner Kaos
Worst prices, scales seem to be off. I pre weigh my brass and copper before taking it in, cut anything off that would lower value. Stay away from this place. Hopefully they get audited so things change
- AAndrew Low
I bring more than 100 pounds of cans (metal) most times I go. I do not drive or carry that much more than 7 miles. When I am taken, things are usually busy before close on Friday. I sold cans here and another place. Remember, scrap metal yards buy to make a profit. This one pays well but can only pay so much per pound. Forget your ID, expect no money. That is required to make sure you are being honest. I do not know what happens from firsthand experience if that occurs.
- CCara
My 94 year old grandfather's deep freeze went out last week. My husband and I had to take off work and today was the soonest we could. We arrived at the yard, we sat in line for about an hour. We finally made it to the scales, and proceeded to unload the deep freeze. We were getting ready for a final weigh in, then they made us go back and get the deep freeze because it stank. We completely cleaned it out, there was no food, but a lingering smell....when we asked management, they told us they didn't want it because it was smelly....now I have to explain to my grandfather why we are bringing it back....very terrible experience and dreading the conversation with my gramps when I get home. And just to add, the workers were very rude and treated my husband like garbage.

TL;DR Review: I don't know anything about salvage/scrap, but this place seemed nice enough. Everybody was helpful and patient. I've never been here before. I went to the wrong place and was redirected. They had me back in to sell my cans. I put the cans on a scale and was asked for my DL. I supplied it and was told to take the same ID to the cashier to be paid. And I was paid. Here's the thing. Maybe I should have shopped around to see if they were offering a competitive or standard exchange on cans? I had two large coffee cans full of pull tabs I'd been collecting for years. Yes, years. I also had a bag of cans my kids put together that morning. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting much, but I WAS expecting more than $2.10. That was not only not worth me helping my kids dig through the recycling bin that morning, but not worth pulling the tabs from years of my wife's Diet Coke cans while she rolls her eyes. Previously (and yeah, this was probably five years ago) I'd been paid $6 for one of those coffee cans of pull tabs. Anyway, to cut down the length of this review, I feel like I should have made sure that the exchange rate here was typical if not the best in town. It might be, might not be; but I felt like my time and effort was wasted.
