Cullen Auto Parts JunkYard Reviews
3.7 stars based on 30 reviews- JJason Foust
25 year old Hispanic guy hates you the moment you walk in the door. If you decide to come here expect the bare minimum and terrible customer service. They talked badly about a customer right when he left the door because Cullen didn’t have the part he wanted
- eedwin ewing
My go to used parts store in Houston. They have what you need and always easy to talk to. And they throw discounts out for inconvenience! Can’t beat that.
- WW M
Wouldn't even leave 1 star, lazy group without Mario, put me on hold and hung up, they have the part I need, wouldn't search in the computer and give a quote, they are horrible
- JJames alexander
Mario) was very professional. He is well knowledgeable about his business and excellent customer service.
- RRafalita Perez
Always professional, accurate and helped me in a timely manner, regardless of their busy schedule! Thank you Gus, Mario, & Junior! They helped me find a new bumper for my truck :)
- JJazmyn Odom
Very friendly and helpful people. Make sure you know the price before going in, was told & charged $10 over advertised price. However, since it's still cheaper than the dealership I didn't make a big deal, just a little disappointed.

Best salvage yard I've been to so far. I like to visit junkyards on the weekends to try and find parts I might need on my Chevy. This is one of the better places I've been to in Houston. When I arrived I asked if I could take a look at their trucks, I was then told where they were and I immediately found the part I was looking for. It's a busy place with a whole lot of inventory so you should probably know what you're looking for and what to expect when visiting places like these.

This shop works with the criminals that steal cars and trucks, there is a dirt road behind the shop where we found our truck taken apart with a forklift
- AAlfa Omega
They are nice and professional but you make sure you got the right part before you paying bills be careful it is gambling with your own money they will charge you re stacking fee the part you return . It doesn’t matter the part is right or not working ! My advice is be careful it is gambling with no hop winning.

Didn't have what I needed and it's not really a place you would want to go for anything

Needed a window for my car. No windows in the entire state for my car. They were all back ordered. Was referred here by the body shop I use and they had a perfect window waiting just for me. Came and was out the door in less than 30 minutes. All of the guys in there were nice. Mario helped me and made everything go smoothly. Hopefully won’t need anymore car parts or windows but I know where I’ll check if I do!

As a co-owner of a business here in Houston on MLK Boulevard, Cullen Auto Parts is a staple for our family-run business. If you read the "bad reviews" that sadly has given them a 3.6 ⭐ rating (when they should be at least a 4.5 ⭐ if not 5 ⭐) you you will find a common denominator, and that is (paraphrased): "I thought I was ordering one part, but I ordered the wrong one." So how can we as consumers make sure that we don't keep making this mistake? Our VIN numbers! No one ever told us to check them! (That long number/letters is going to tell you everything you need to know about the part you need to order) I'm here to tell you that now: I'm going to need you to run your VIN number online before you call them to order any part. "But that number is so long!" (Trust me I know you're suffering because I have dyslexia). That's why I want you to go and use an app/site that will allow you to scan the barcode using any smartphone. I actually really enjoy using AutoZone's app for my VIN scan to find out all the information for said vehicle and then call Cullen and tell them what I need. Tee-he-he! Now, back to finding the barcode, okay? You can find it in couple places. My immediate go to is on the lower door panel were those white stickers are (it could be on the literal side of the door or it could be on the inner part where the door shuts onto the actual physical part of the car). Sadly sometimes you're going to have to enter the VIN manually (letter by letter number by number and FYI, there is never the letter "O" there's only ever the number ZERO) on these apps because not all of the vehicles have a barcode (don't be embarrassed my dyslexic people to ask somebody to double check your VIN if you find yourself having to enter it manually, or just use Google translate and take a picture of it and highlight the portion that you want Google to copy for you and then translate. Copy and paste that and enter it into the app. I guess my point here that I'm trying to get across is don't just take Google review ⭐'s as the businesses actual service capabilities. As I've mentioned in previous reviews, a person who wrote a 1⭐ review could have just been having a bad day. They might have just got screwed over by the mechanic. They may have just lost their job and spent their last $150 on the part and are facing a horrific week and they ordered the wrong part and now their skeevy mechanic is making them pay double labor when it was their responsibility to make sure that you were actually ordering the correct part (scandalous in my opinion on small repairs). And people, please do not just walk in thinking you know what's wrong with your car and order a part before you actually have the vehicle checked out by a mechanic. Additionally.... As consumers we usually write our reviews with our emotions, because it is our money that we are putting on the table and we worked hard for that money. That's what makes my review different. I'm not really writing from a emotional perspective because I'm ordering parts for customers and I'm using VIN number scanners to double check my work before I even look up a part. And stop ordering from eBay. Please just use Cullen's. If I can just say one more thing it's that you're not going to find a better quality used parts store with a 5 ⭐ rating from me and a more honest business than Cullen Auto Parts. Thank you for all your help, Cullen Auto Parts. We couldn't make it without you and your great prices, and high quality used parts.

The worst attention, there is no communication, they are rude, they ignore you, they put calls on hold while they talk to each other without doing anything else. Not recommended. If i can put 0 i do it
- hhenry m
Prices are ok compared to other places. Takes a while to get your part so come ready to burn 1-2hrs. Also if you don’t mind smelling like you were at a bar all night this is your place. Costumer service could be better.
- RRainbowtoaststudios “Friday”
I had an okay experience overall honestly. Not as busy as other places I've been to, it's a little smaller, but they took me to the car and let me pick and choose which parts I wanted and gave me a fair bundle price. They let me watch how they took the parts off though which was pretty useful for me as an amateur mechanic. Bring boots to walk in mud though! Customer service is good
- LLatosha Mcc
Was friendly & welcoming prices was reasonable they had me in and out in no time!!!

I will not be coming back here. I purchased a $250 transmission that they verified would work on the vehicle but when I went to install in the car it did not work so I went back the next week and they offered me another one so installed again is 400 labor plus 60 transfluid but it didn't work again, so I went back to at least get credit store but the owner said it was my fault in a rude tone and did not gave me any option . the owner of that place doesn't care about customer service all he care is he's pocket plus they take too long to help you every time i went there spent like 1 to 2 hours waiting and seen a lot of people mad for waiting Very shady place and I would NOT recommend going to Cullen Auto Parts. Owner did not even care to be reasonable

I will not be coming back here. I purchased a $350 part that they verified would fit my vehicle but when I went to install in my car it did not fit. I went back the next day and asked if I could get the correct one, they said it was my fault since I looked at it. I was told that I would have to pay another $350 for another one and no even exchange or returns could be done. Very shady place and I would NOT recommend going to Cullen Auto Parts. Owner did not even care to be reasonable.

One of the best junkyard for parts in Houston really good prices really good costumer service
- AAlan Moreno
Absolutely horrendous experience. Talked to an associate over the phone about a part for a Honda civic. I asked at the very least 3 times to make sure they had the part in good condition. The man said yes absolutely and completely reassured me as well. I just wanted to make sure before driving in a 2 hour traffic rush from the Bush Airport area. After finally getting there, the part they had was actually broken. Then they had the audacity to say they were going to charge $180 for a BROKEN part. I was in complete disbelief. The dealership brand new it would be $380. As a business you would like to give some kind of a deal ESPECIALLY after you had been reassured at least 3 times over the phone that the part you were going to drive there for was in stock and in good condition. Obviously. that did not happen. On top of that the man I spoke with (whom the employees called Mark) was extremely rude to me and raised his voice. Screw that. After reading through further reviews down below I noticed they use the word RUDE a lot. There was also a putrid smell coming from one of the employees. This is NOT how you run a business, that kind of behaviour will not only drive away your customers, but if that's how you treat people then I can't even imagine how you treat your employees. I am NEVER coming here again and I advise others to do so as well.
- AAlfonso Hernandez
Very rude people I called to ask for a few parts and the guy said “no we don’t have it” and hung up on me as soon as I asked for the first part. I called back and told him another salvage yard referred me telling they had the parts I needed and again before I got a chance to even ask for the other parts I needed for the other vehicles he said “I told you no we don’t have it!”and hung up on me again. Definitely never doing business with these people again.
- BBrandon Bradley
Great owner, I have purchased several motors and transmissions from here. Only had a issue with 1 and they quickly exchanged it.
- JJason Gray
Dealt with them through email and photos. Set up a delivery driver to pick up and received part in great condition. Easy to work with and hope to do business with them again. 5 stars on this one
- RRadie Said
I visited this place to get some parts for my car and they were very helpful and respectful. I saw so many cars here, I’m sure everyone could find what they need for a very good price. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for parts.
- CChristian
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SHOP. Was charged double for a bad part they sold me since they did not want to do an even exchange. We paid over $1,000 in parts in two days because I wanted to try and expand my market of local salvage yards that we purchase from but coming to Cullen Auto Parts was our biggest mistake. You all should really consider driving down Airline and take notice on how to run a customer-oriented business. Keep comparing to dealership prices, don’t consider online pricing, and do not stand behind the products you sell...that’s probably a good way to keep customers and other shops from buying here.
- ssoobin star
Worst place ever. They tell you they have parts on the phone & then once you get there they tell you it’s not available.
- TTaija Jackson
DO NOT BUY This place refuse to refund your money if part is bad. This place cares about profit more than they care about you. My mechanic lost lot of money and recommend I go to dealer to get good part. I lost time and money because of this place.
- JJAIME G SANCHEZ
This guys are no so nice kind of rude They think do like a favor when You buy there and now ceaziest think a pull hood cable and bumper more expensive than New what?? Are They crazies? Better new ones I thnik no good option anymore
- KKayla Fuentes
Very bad service. Kept me waiting over an hour and they didn’t even have the part I needed. Plus they smoke inside while customers are waiting in their lobby so I definitely will not be coming back here.
- EEdward Kozodoy
Ordered a dash took longer than 2 days to come in and never got the airbag shipped with it when specifically asked for the airbag then call them and ask and they tell you that you never asked for I wouldn’t waste your time with this company then they start to get an attitude with you
