Worst experience I have had with a mechanic. I had my engine swapped there and they broke my windshield, broke my ac, and tore up the liner in my engine bay and would not fix any of the things they broke. They didn't tell me about any of it either. I had to find out when I inspected my truck. When confronted about it they refused to be responsible for the things they broke. Beware Do Not use their services. I would give them negative stars if I could. Hopefully this saves somebody from having the same experience I did.Service: Engine repair

Dave and Bill are the best guys out there. My only local mechanic. They are awesome. Usually pretty busy. Call ahead. Best early to late model mechanic in area. I'll be back up to see them in a few weeks!

Fantastic service, awesome people working here. Very honest and trustworthy and can speak in layman terms to help you understand exactly what is going on with your vehicle. They go as far as to find you multiple options for fixing your vehicle finding the part you need at the price you can afford.

My family has done business with Dave longer than I've been alive. He's always honest and he and his team will get your repair done reliably, fair and promptly. Travis has been great help in locating parts and coordinating drop-offs and pick-ups at their yard every time I've had to leave a vehicle there.

I went to Dave's A-1 and I highly recommend them. They're fair and honest and they saved me thousands of dollars.In my case, my truck's rear end died after leaking and running out of oil. My regular shop quoted me $3600-$4600 to replace the entire assembly. On a friend's recommendation, I had it towed to Dave's A-1. They took it apart, found and replaced just what was broken (the differential), and charged me about 1/3 of the other price. A few days later I was on the road again.If you're looking for an honest mechanic who charges a fair price for the right work, I recommend Dave's A-1.

My experience with Travis and Dave was wonderful. With having to travel about 200 miles it was well worth it. They was very nice and fast on service. I would recommend this place to anyone that need something done either with a part or service to their vehicle. Thank you for a wonderful experince.

Great service and by far the most honest mechanic in the area or anywhere in fact. Before bringing my car to Daves A1 I was told I needed a new transmission and it would cost over 5k. Well after my second opinion from Daves A1 the total came to about 300 dollars and was told my transmission was complelty fine. I highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

Dropped off my '03 Ford Explorer 4.6/8 on Monday needing a new transmission and possibly a new transfer case. I was expecting a bill between $1300 and $2000. We'd talked about it and I was already okay with the expense.Thursday morning I get the call that my truck is done. Grand total? $320!"What? How is that possible?" I asked. It was just the transfer case motor. That's all that was needed so that's all they did. Unbelievable!This is almost a year after my local Ford Dealer AND a local transmission shop told me that my transmission needed to be replaced immediately.Now I'll let you figure out what might have happened to make Palm Coast Ford and the local Tranny place (new guy on rt 100) tell me I had to have a new one, but I know this for sure:For day-to-day mechanical work you take your car to John at US Auto on US1 (the pink building) because he's the most honest general mechanic I've ever met. And for big jobs like engine replacements, transmissions and rears, you go to Dave's A-1 Auto Part & Sales.-----------------------On a separate note: To the first reviewer below: If you've ever stood at the counter of this place for more than 30 seconds you understand why they might sound rushed on the phone. From open to close the phone rings off the hook. If you're looking for a place to call to discuss your issues at length, I grant you, this isn't that place.But if you're looking to get quality work and a reasonable price from a place that's not going to rip you off? I think you just found it.
