I am reporting them to the BBB.. THEY STOLE COPPER FROM ME!! I am not sure if this is a regular occurrence or they are taking advantage of the fact that I am unfamiliar with their order of operations. I don't often visit scrap yards. Never been here before.. It was raining all day and to be fair I did show up about 10 minutes before 5pm the close of the business day. Only to be greeted by a very unpleasant older woman who was obviously not in the mood to deal with anymore customers. She asked what I had and I said one tote. She replied with " If it doesn't weight 20 lbs the scale won't pick it up" She asked what kind of metal it was. I said, " There was copper and other materials, but wasn't sure what else " She told me to drive to one of 2 stations. The traffic from the workers hustling to get their work done and with all the chaos of rain and scrap everywhere I let the First gentlemen know I didn't know where to go. The night before my husband's crew had disassembled ceiling fans to separate the copper cable, it was quite easy to do and so I took the first few to see what they would net. Another employee on a forklift pulled up and I took out my tote he said to follow him. Got back in my car to drive, and the first gentlemen was making fun of me saying " didn't I want to get paid, and You can't drive up to the building.. So I got out walking about 500 yards into a building where they already had my cash out ticket in hand...for 2.08 cents!!! I asked where my tote was that was a mistake and looked down and there was the tote with the ceiling fans casing inside and none of the copper wires! I told them there was copper they said there was no copper in the tote it was all lead! I told them to keep the $2.08 and I wanted my tote and scrap materials back. He handed me the cash receipt and allowed me to take my scrap and tote minus the copper wiring. The nerve of thinking I am that stupid.. This is what I have after visiting this company!

This was my first visit there so I really wasn't sure where too park and of course it wasn't in the right spot but the gentleman on the lift could tell it was my first visit so he told me I was just fine there today too just pull over there next time he got my scrap and further showed me the rest of the way. Got my ticket where I was surprised at the way higher price they were paying. I will definitely take and sell to this yard in the future. Even if they were a holes it's worth going for the prices they are paying.

Excellent place to take your recycle metals. Great hours, easy yard layout, and quick pay for your metals. I have been going to this location for 20+ years, and I think they are the best in town. Its an easy yard to understand flow. You get accurately weighed in and out. They have magnets and grapples if you want/need them to unload your truck. I always take my own hardhat because you have to have one in the yard. Quick pay same day. When you are driving there, be sure to take the road that follows the fence line of the boatyard. It is not a big road, and there are some rough spots, but it goes right along the fence to EMR. It pretty much dead ends at the scale building.

!!!Truckers!!!! Please stay straight do not turn off to the left that is a whole other company (I made that mistake but there is a place to turn around in there) the people in the office are very kind and so are the workers 😊 so please bring a good attitude!! When you get there you’ll turn on the first right and get on the scale you’ll then proceed straight and turn right you’ll park right in front of a big green tire, the forklift will let you know when you can back to your left to dock 😊 there’s a lot of space! When loaded follow the forklift guy around the yard to get back on the scale to receive your papers! Good luck and stay safe out there! It’s a quick in and out!

I want to thank the young man that helped me change my tire on my trailer. It went flat after falling into a big crater of a hole as you come into the scales. All I had was a 4 way and he and another guy picked up the trailer by hand as I placed the spare tire on. Your people here are a prime reason I come here. Not one of your workers has ever been ill towards anyone or my self. His name was Hunter and he had a white hard hat on. Keep up the good work and hats off.

Super nice people. Top prices for scrap metal. Overall one of the best I’ve been to in the area. The staff was really helpful with it being my first time there. Just pull on the scale and they will direct you the rest of the way.

I wanted to say Thank you to the employees of EMR. I have never been there before and the kindness and professionalism that I received from David and Chris (that’s what I was told was the crane operator’s name) and the office staff from Debbie who checked me in and told me where to go to Delvenia who paid me out. This was one of the best experiences you could ask for from a business. Thank you

Arrived 5 minutes before closing the fork lift driver Cam is his name. Said nope we closed. Husband informed him he had five minutes . Cam's response was you will be waiting another 5 minutes. Every precious metal employee started screaming at us . I just recently died and came back. We were there to get the extra money for life saving medication. Cam told us he didn't care and some other cuss words. My husband went to Mikey at office he was fair and allowed us at least that. I told him Thank you I need this medication to keep me alive. Mikey response was he didn't care. Well, I pray no one in your family goes into septic shock/ multiple heart attacks or worse dead. I have a bag I pee in in renal failure and heart failure. I appreciate you taking us. God bless you and he changes your heart. I might add that working with all types of people and all walks of life you need to learn some customer service skills. To the ones that have been doing business with you because of people like us didn't scrap metal you would not have a job there or a Company. Yes, my husband worked there shortly He learned quickly you have some very lazy employee's there.. The workers that actually work and not on there phone or hung over. You have been reported to corporate for turning folks away at 5 til. and I am sure come Monday Morning I will be reporting the craziness your employee's showed. Luckily I went across town they closed at one and we were there from 12:47pm until 2:15 packed and not one employee was rude yelling" We closed." They were Thankful for new customers and the returning one's.

The recycling center is extremely negligent in maintaining their service road. I was very careful to avoid debris, but my tire was irreparably damaged by ground-debris after just one visit to the location. When I visited their competitors, I never had an issue with debris on the service road. Their competitors regularly sweep their roads with a crane and minimize the amount of road that they actually have to clean to reduce the risk to visitors. The road here is large, unwieldy, and poorly maintained.

I’ve been scraping here since 1995 and have always been my go to place. I live in holt and it has always been worth the drive. Do miss the old crew but still have two left and every time I go in they now do all. New people takes some time to get used to you but they work with you and help as much as they can. Lot of impatient people out there. Just know your time to come in. Because it gets busy. They pay the highest 95% of the time. Make sure to have your letter or stay home with your outside units lol no letter no sale no exemptions😆 I’ll keep coming back. Thank you guys for trying your best to keep up and being a great place for me to make some money.

It's a great scrapyard. But,, I just went and unloaded over 1,000 lbs of steel,, some aluminum, and wire. I was very disappointed with the price. I don't blame them,,I blame our leader. Way to go Brandon!! It's such a shame what he's done to the people of our country. Especially the poor.

Going down hill fast. Disorganized, redundant policies, waste lots of time. The last 18 months, this location terrible. Original crew easy to work with. After 18 years of selling here and sending hundreds of people here. No more, reputation getting so bad, the one store within blocks, bad mouth this once awesome business, I guess new management, my guess complacent upper level employees, have no motivation to keep thing smooth in day to day operations. Suggest house cleaning, needs new blood. Shame corporate mentality hurting business. People moving to other metal buying Companies, don't believe look at bottom line. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

When I first started coming here I really liked how they were helpful in sorting the metals if something was wrong. However lately no matter if I know what it is it's getting labeled at "142" I know what an electric motor is and sadly that is not "142" I think management needs to better train people and quit having them take our money from us. Maybe I will think again before I come here again.

I tried to call to find out some questions on pricing and before I could get my questions out the lady named Debbie hung up the phone, then when I called back Miss Debbie answered again very short and rude, put me on hold and never came back to the phone. I recommend going anywhere but this place, they don’t even know how to get a good receptionist
