TLDR: advertised/sold a BROKEN part claiming "Low miles", "grade A" and "tested". Would have rated 0 if I could. Got a transmission from them and paid someone else to install; only to find out the part doesn't work. Now I have to pay for labor AGAIN to have the broken one removed and a THIRD put in because they sold a DEFECTIVE part. Almost 3k in labor for nothing. B E W A R E. Edit for owners response: how do yall offer warranties on broken parts that just dont work period? And even if the part WAS working, your labor coverage warranty would cover LESS THAN HALF of the full cost. The part wasnt working before I even purchased it from yall. You said all parts are tested, so why didnt this broken part FAIL your "test"? Makes 0 sense. Sounds like grounds for BBB involvement. I'm surprised yall haven't been taken to small claims court before if this is business standard 😂

Couldn't have been treated better by the crew at Joe's. Last month (July 2023) they gave me ideas, helped me select a rear hatch door from their parts inventory, text'd me photos of the door for my review, and helped me load it into my car once the purchase was made! They were all very patient, and professional. Highly recommend; would do business with again.

Since you can no longer walk the yard it is difficult to buy from Joe's in the past few years. Hard to buy some parts site un-seen. I know Joe's still have some vintage cars and parts but I can not figure out a way to buy them. I tried to may an appointment to walk me around but I guest they are just to busy selling on-line. Hopefully I can find a way before they scrap everything.

Very friendly staff, drove all the way from Chicago to pick up a door they sent me a picture of the condition of the door and held it for me til I got up there. had the door pulled in about 10 mins can’t ask for anything else overall great experience with these guys

Wonderful and very helpful! They go above and beyond for us and are located in Hudsonville- worth the drive and the time to work with the guys at Joes!

I bought a door for a 01 grand am that needed to be replaced. I called in the morning and was told that It would be ready in the afternoon. When I called at 2:30pm I was told it would be done in a out an hour. 4:30pm I stop up there and find out they pulled the wrong side of the car. ( I needed drivers side and they pulled passenger side. They then ho out and get the correct door. The next day I call and ask them if I could return the door since the guy I was replacing it for no longer wanted to go this route and I was told that even though they have a return policy on the receipt( minus a 20% restocking fee) they "did alot for me and wouldn't take the door back". This is the last time I'll do buisness with this place. Good luck a d God bless you if you do.

Joe’s was the absolute best! They helped us through a mix up on an engine swap and found an engine out of town and got it and did a second swap for us. They were so kind and helpful every step of the way. I would recommend they 100%!

When I called up there they were nice and helpful on the phone but then they said they would call or text me when the part that I called about was ready. He said it would only take a couple hours, except I never received a phone call for the rest of the day and the following day I called there later in the afternoon because I still hadn't heard back. He then said the part was ready so my husband went up there and picked it up and we brought it to my brother who went to put it on the car and it turns out it was a bad part. Although online it was listed as in good condition. I do understand this is a junk yard But on the phone he said they retrieve the part for you and I feel at that point he should have said the part is actually not in good condition or in working order. My brother just had to look at the part to know it was not good and said Had he went on the lot himself and tried to take it off he would have noticed right away it was not good. It wasn't an expensive part luckily but none the less I am still out of the money I paid for a part that is not useable.

I have purchased parts from Joe's twice now. A tire and rim last year and a light switch this year. I find the prices reasonable and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Joe's is my "go to" business when I need good quality used parts.

I am writing this after visiting a second "you pick" yard in Grand Rapids. My son and I went to Joe's a couple months ago. We were looking for a rear view mirror and couple other small parts. The yard appeared to have a lot to choose from and we did find a mirror (and at least 4 more as it was a common part). We removed the part ourselves and at check out, we found the mirror was $20. I paid it, knowing an e bay one was slightly cheaper but would have to wait. Today, we went to Weller's in GR. Nice selection and we bought a grill that was $40 on e bay along with a bunch of small trim pieces. Grand total...$28. It has been many years since I have been to a "you pick" and realize the internet has changed the game. However, the whole idea behind "you pick" is to save a few bucks by taking the burden of removal off the company. Won't be back. Good luck.

These guy's are great and very helpful. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We were directed to precisely the parts we were looking for and in the matching color of my son's car. The prices are great and I found everything we were looking for. I will go here again!

Been there a few times. Tried to sell me old parts for more than I could buy them new, and when I said something I was treated with complete disrespect. Never had any issues like that in other places. Edit: Another star for the nice response.

Use to go here all the time. Stopped going around late 2016. Started going again in early 2018. Since then they cut their inventory in half. I've been going once a year now and they keep cutting their inventory in half. I called them up twice to confirm if they had a particular car. They said they had 5. I drove a half hour up there and spent an hour and a half looking for those five cars to find out. Only to find out they didn't have a single one. I even let the guys in the office know, so they can update their inventory. However, I doubt they will. This place use to be the best in west Michigan. I can now say, it's the worst.

The guys at Joe's are just awesome. I stopped by to wander around hoping to find a better floor mat for my car. After a good hour & a half (of FUN!), I came in with a not so bad floor mat. I asked Matt how much & he said "well, you worked pretty hard for that so it's yours at no charge." Who does that?! Joe's.

I needed a door for my truck and I'm on a very fixed income. They gave me a discount on the door, which is the 2 star rating. The door got picked up and as we're putting it on, we realize there's no panel... There is also no latch and no handle. We ordered a door, not the door frame.

Kelly and the guys were Great. 4th of July weekend stayed open late for me to pickup a Ranger transmission. Service is top notch and friendly. I enjoy doing business with them. Joe's auto parts is now the 1st place I go when I need parts!! THANK YOU!!!
- ssclasspromo
Ordered a tank for my truck and Cody said no problem I can have it out tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went no part, the next day came and went no part, keep in mind the truck is tore apart on my mechanics lift wasting his time as well as mine, finally 3 days later they show up with the part and of course...it's the wrong part! After confirming 3 times with them the part I needed still sent the wrong part total incompetence. They did at least refund me with no hassle

I was referred to speak with Matt, I needed an engine for a race car for the next day. He and his staff made sure I found what I needed at a great price to make sure I could race. If I ever need quality used parts at a great price Joes is my go to place. Thanks again guys!

I had a very great experience at Joe's this week,I had stopped in on a hunch looking for a washer fluid tank for wifes 2002 chevy cav and the staff was great! I didnt plan to stop that day thus no tools! The crew took care of me and got my part for a great price!! The man at the register was kind enough to loan me a socket that I needed and even helped me with a stubborn bolt! They were very busy yet he made time for my little plastic tank while phones were ringing off hook and made sure I had proper part and was aware of how to install it,great salvage yard!Very friendly knowledgeable staff and friendly to boot!I will always check here before gong anywhere else when I am looking for the right part at a great price!Great job to Joe and his crew!!! 5 stars across the board!! Great job guy's!

Joe's is a great place to buy engines transmissions and rear ends. The prices are the best in the area. Gary is very knowledgeable about applications for these parts. Best place around for all makes and models. They have 3000 cars for parts.
- CChris
Defiantly the best salvage yard in west Michigan! They stand behind the used parts they sell and will make things right if a part fails within the warranty period. Their prices are fair and the yard is well organized.
- JJeff
Awesome place. Searched for part all day long. Nobody close had what i needed. Was referred from grand valley auto parts. Drove 45 minutes to get to joes ,but well worth it, wouldnt hesitate to do again, probably should have asked if customers are allowed to go through yard themselves but none the less, great place, great prices.

We were up visiting from Florida and went by Joe's to see if they had any parts for our 1965 Corvair and they had exactly what we needed! Matt & Caleb were so nice and helpful. If you've never been to Joe's, you need to go check them out!
- SSue Wierenga
A great place to get used parts for your older cars, trucks, etc. And the prices are far more reasonable than all the other places we have tried. They have a very nice crew of people to help you. If there is a problem the crew at Joe's is always willing to work with you for a resolution.

Had an issue with an engine we picked up. Called and told them the problem. They made things right. I understand things go bad at times. Was nice to deal with a place that steps up and fixes things with zero hassle. Will definitely use them again in the future.
- RRobert Winskas
I love this place. Every time I walk in the door and check in, I am greeted like a long lost friend. The staff are extremely helpful. I could go on for a day about how awesome this place has been. I will just leave this at a mere suggestion that you should consider visiting Joe's

I was looking all over the city for a window. Happen to get a referral to Joe's. Not only did they answer the phone after closing but they HAD the part id been looking for and for $$19.00. The staff was friendly and had great customer service. I will definitely be back for any future needs. Great service guys. Special thanks to Zachary. I owe u a cup of joe!!😊
- CChad Kitson
They charge 125 for a used radatior and it's 120 new at autozone! They been getting ridiculously expensive since new owner took place. I highly do no recommend going here. Rip off city
- LLilian Sng
Very friendly staff Customer service area is very clean. There's coffee with compliments... I'm sure you'll find what you need here, perhaps a call before you go in person Driveway is muddy, likely due to overnight rain... You don't expect anything fanciful... It's a junk yard 🤣😂😁 Easily spotted on the main road.
