On 05/29/2025, my pilot needed an engine, according to my mechanic. The body shop tech next door knew the rep at LKQ Leominster, Mass., and made a call.<br><br>I paid $1900 via CC over the phone; they delivered on 06/04/2025, and the core $120 will be going to my CC. I mounted the engine and found out it was cracked. I called the place back, and they sent another one. They will credit me $100 for the $1200 install, but instead, they sent the check to the body shop, and we were looking for the SS for weeks.<br><br>The second engine was installed a couple of days later. I drove away from the garage, sluggish, no power... and fumes coming from the exhaust. I had a work trip outside the country for the entire summer.<br><br>I called the rep at LKQ prior to let him know about the 2nd engine's issues. He told me we would deal with it when I came back. In mid-September, I am calling and calling, leaving messages for the rep. Finally, I had to press zero; they told me that he was no longer with the company.<br><br>The new rep didn't want to deal with my issue and was avoiding me when I called. He would leave me hanging on the phone for a long time until I needed to hang up and call back again. They were rude and finally told me that for warranty protocol, I needed to take the car to a mechanic and call from there to process the claim. I had to wait the whole time for this claims guy to call.<br><br>His question was, 'Did you change the timing belt and the seals during the install?' No, sir, wouldn't that interfere with the warranty? So I got denied because I was supposed to rebuild the new engine prior to installation, and my warranty expired also. So, I am about a $3000 loss from Quality Parts at LKQ. I spoke with the manager, 'Brian,' and he said, 'Nothing I can do for you, sir.<br><br>Only go find another shop, and I will give you a small break on another engine, but this time you need to change the timing belt and the seals.' Does anyone have any recommendations? Do I need to file a claim in court?<br><br>SOMEONE REPLIED BACK TO MY REVIEW TO CONTACT RYAN, IT'S A JOKE; RYAN WASN'T EXPECTING MY CALL NOR THAT HE WANTED TO DO ENYTHING. JUST A SCAM. THEY SOLD ME A ROTTEN ENGINE FOR $1900.00<br><br>Loss:<br>$3000

Very bad experience. I ordered 6 parts for my vehicle and they never arrived. The company kept my money for a long time without resolving the issue. I was counting on those parts to fix my car so I could travel and visit my family for Christmas, but that never happened. Very disappointing service and lack of responsibility. I do not recommend this company.

WHICH I COULD LEAVE 0 STARS - I'VE SEEN BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT NOTHING LIKE THAT EVER IN MY LIFE. WE HAVE 5 SHOPS AND WE ORDER FROM THERE DECENT AMOUNT OF TIMES, EVERYTIME WE CALL SERVICE GETS WORST AND WORST. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW A NORMAL HUMAN BEING CAN BEHAVE IN SUCH BAD MANNER TO SOMEONE SPEAKING TO THEM SO NICE AND POLITELY. I GUESS YOU CAN'T FIX MISERY...
