The best service ever everyone should consider going some day. They have the best customer service if I say so. I bought a brake pedal and this wonderful lady called Cindy assisted me. 10/10 service and the entrance fee isn’t that much either. If you’re even passing by check it out

Not what it used to be, still worth going to but CHECK ONLINE FIRST! Ok, so this used to be the best "pick-a-part" in Houston until they were bought out by LKQ a few years ago. Most of the stuff here is too expensive, but every now and then they get that very hard-to-find part and the price is still worth it. If your vehicle is commonly available at other junkyards, go there first! Go to their website and you can see current inventory with several pictures, along with info like VIN and drop date. All of this is very helpful in determining if it's worth the trip or the $5 entrance fee. If the car has been there 3 months, I wouldn't waste my time. But you can set up email alerts for specific cars (this is the only self-service yard in Houston that has this) so you can get there ASAP when your car drops. Also, check out their prices online so you don't get sticker shock when you get up to the counter. For most parts, it's not worth it. For example, they don't allow you to open up a motor to get a part like a camshaft or oil pump. They'll sell you the oil pump, but it costs as much as the whole engine! For a rear differential, they charge the same price for a hub-to-hub straight axle like out of the back of a pickup, as they do for a drop out third member like out of an import with independent rear suspension. Even though you only want the third member, and not the CV axles or hubs, etc. they still charge you the full price. With that in mind, I still check the online inventory regularly and still buy parts from here every now and then. Just make sure you've already exhausted the other options in Houston like U-Pull-And-Pay on the south side, or Houston Auto Recyclers which is right down the road from this LKQ.

Almost passed on going here due to some of the poor reviews, but sure glad I didn’t. Check in was smooth and easy, vehicle described on website was there, checking out was easy, and the price was 1/10th of new. Will be back!

Wow. I’ve been coming here for 15+ years off and on. After today, never again. I spent 15 mins taking off a 12 year old transmission cooler line just to be told it would cost $55, so I left it in a bin under the check out stand along with all the other parts no one else could afford and left abandoned. They tried to charge $80 to a guy in front of me for a brake pedal, so he left it in the bin and took off. All of this on top of spending $5 just to get in and the cars are no longer categorized, but strewn throughout the yard. I got the same cooler line at Houston Auto Recyclers for $9. It was $36 new online, so why $55 here? I can't believe the prices now. Drop the crack pipe. I’m done with this place.

New system for paying zero stars. Tires on the rack not identified for rim size, customer forced to look at all tires. Great selection, Poor customer service at checkout. I am 1/3 into the pay line, about 20 behind me

Great Place to Purchase used car parts at a high price 😜 but the parts are good 99.9% and that 1% is just by luck 🤞🏽 💯

Close early, people leave early so you can't get help, they don't ever answer the phone, there's no prices online for specific parts.. waste of time.

I'm very disappointed in the service I just received. I checked online and saw they have the vehicle I need parts from, but the when looking through the parts list, the item I need was not listed so I tried to call them. The automated service just kept saying to go to the website, which didn't help me to begin with. So instead I called the number again, but insisted of checking with parts, I pressed "2" to sell a car to actually speak with a person. I was told that I have to come to their location, pay for entry and hope that the part I need is actually there. I don't have the time or money to waste. Their customer service is seriously lacking compared to what it used to be

They usually have almost any part you want but they have a habit of giving you the wrong price on the phone went yesterday for a brake caliper they told me $25 with my core when I got there it was $45 wasn't a problem still cheaper than anyone else

Wasted half a day. Slow and overcharged for the part. Wish I would have skipped this option. Just order online and save the hassle.

This IS the worst LKQ location in Houston. Enter at your OWN RISK - not worth the entrance fee- There is literally feces between the cars, the aisles are not cleared (like the other Houston locations), not a single employee in sight, poorly maintained, the inventory on their website does not match the cars that are in the yard currently. The Map is irrelevant as well because nothing is where it’s supposed to be. Only positive thing I can see about the location is the Used Batteries are very well organized. I would try Wallisville or Hiram Clarke before coming here- The Northville location is not even close to the standards I know LKQ has. If I could give 0 stars I would. Disappointing.

I've been coming here for awhile but they are not charging what their website says. I tried to get a dual radiator fan and they told me $70 but on line it says $35. That happened in the late model windows on 1/19/2030. With the girl on the window on the Right. The girl with the glasses always does it right.

This place used to be great a few years ago apparently the new owners changed everything you were accustomed to, the cars used to be separated by make and type now everything is scattered, now paying for warranty is mandatory apperently they cant figure to decline it, the only thing they were able to salvage from the good ol days is the grumpiness the employees have when you ask them something.

I was given a price over the phone and when I arrived. I took the part off myself went to the front with my dolly and part. The man was charging me 480 for the part. I explained that I had called before coming and was told differently then the guy said well you want the part or not. This place is not like it used to be they rip you off after all the hard work you do to get the part off yourself. I do not recommend LKQ they have horrible service. Houston Auto Recyclers off of 249 is way better and they have awesome prices with great service highly recommended.

Nope. Online inventory is not current. Shows an F250 online. Get here, have to pay $5 cash to walk out there and see if the truck still has the part. So i asked if it's located where it says online and turns out no F250s at all

It's a pick a part priced somewhat reasonably on certain items. If you have the convenience of waiting a few days for shipping you can probably find better deals on some items. Unfortunately I couldn't wait my transfer case went out. They wanted 273 which includes the core charge. On line found it for 180 including shipping and a 1 yr warranty but couldn't wait the 10 days for shipping. They had several options but some cars had standing water under them and it hasn't rained in several days which is why I only left a 4

Prices have trippled in 5 yrs. Most employees are pretty disgruntled and its actually become cheaper to buy most stuff off ebay or amazon. Its still a good place to learn how to remove parts before actually taking them off your car though.

BUYER BEWARE! I recently went to the Northville location and paid the $5 entry fee (up from $3) and pulled my part, a Hitachi MAF Sensor from a 2006 Toyota Tundra. Without warranty, my part cost me $42.03 plus $5 entry for a grand total of $47.03 out of my wallet. Problem is that Rock Auto sells the exact same brand new OEM Hitachi MAF0103 for $60.73 with tax and shipping, so that LKQ sold me an 18 year old used part for nearly the same cost (78%) as for a new part. Now while I enjoy poking around at the junkyard, I would guess that most customers go to LKQ hoping to SAVE MONEY on car parts and that was clearly not my experience. Please take my advice and be aware what a NEW part costs so that you don't get taken advantage of when buying used....

The LKQ Northville location is decent at best. Although the inventory is usually pretty good, parts here move fast, particularly from the late model lot, which is where I have serious complaints. Be prepared for long wait times after you've picked your parts and are standing in line for check out at the late model lot. Check out service can be exceedingly slow and wildly inaccurate. Pay attention to whats going on ahead of you in line -- I and others are often over quoted and overcharged for parts. It seems normal here for items to manually written up on receipts and prices made up on the fly, which are often up to 50% higher than stated online. This is why wait times are so long. Expect for those in front of you to argue over prices and be prepared to do the same; I recommend to do your research on part prices posted online and to bring print outs of the prices with you -- if I absolutely have to shop here, then I'll be doing the same. After a few visits, these are my only gripes, but they really frustrate me. I've gotten to the point where I feel like the price gouging is done purposefully. After waiting in line under the sun for 30 minutes at a time, you feel like your and everyone else's arms are being twisted into overpaying just to get the hell out of there. I hope you have better luck than me!

they have changed to the worst. I work on vehicles professionally and get paid for it, time is money! scanning thru their inventory takes time to find a quality part. once you find it, it takes time to remove such part. once you get to the cashier, they NOW ask for the vehicle inventory number, that can be found on the rear quarter panel of the vehicle where you too the part off. should you for some reason not have it, they WILL NOT sell you that part you just spend time to find and pull. my time is valuable, specially on the only one day a week I am off. Do to the pricing and shenanigans this place has implemented, it is easier, quicker and by far more convenient and less expensive to shop full service yards or aftermarket parts elsewhere. unless you are looking for a engine/transmission. sadly I have to say, this used to be a great place to find a bargain but is no longer so. therefore, no longer an option for me
