This place is huge and the staff is extremely friendly. I went there looking for F-150 left 250s which they had a list of on there website but when I got there I found out there in a private section the 900s so I was a little disappointed. Everything there is covered in dust and beat up pretty good. But if you like going to junk yards it was definitely one worth stopping at.

It took me almost 2.5 hrs to get my order. The guy operating the forklift who brought my transmission was so unhelpful. He brought me a very wet dripping transmission. Others helped me to put it to my trunk. After I took it to the repair shop they found it dirt inside it and couldn’t clean it. I have one month warranty to replace it. I’m here again to update my review: Unlike the other time it took me some minutes to return and got the replacement transmission with 10k miles higher than the previous purchase but not price change. This time I met all nice people.

U-Pick is the best option if you’re planning on coming here. I called and spoke to someone twice about a fender for an 01 Honda Civic. I said I would be coming to pick it up on Saturday. I get there and they said they have no idea what I’m talking about. They assure me that they have some, but they’re “really busy and couldn’t pull it today” and I’d have to come back tomorrow. Mind you, they had five people in there, and only two were answering the phones/working the counter. We asked if they had any available for us to pull ourselves and they said yes. Luckily we were able to find what we needed, but that was NO THANKS to the salespeople inside. We’ll continue using their U-Pick services, but that’s the last time I’ll ever ask for anything I can’t pull myself.

Walk in the door. Not one person behind the counter acknowledged that I was standing there. They clearly saw me because they looked me dead in my eyes. Then they proceeded to be rude to each other. It's not worth the hassle if you want good customer service. I'd suggest taking your business somewhere else. Perhaps online!

Good oem used parts but, you must bring your own tools and expect to spend a few hours looking around. $2 entry fee and you must sign a waiver. They offer wheelbarrows to put your tools and parts in. It gets muddy when it rains, so be prepared. Relatively organized. I give them a 4.5 out of 5

Alot of the vehicles are totaled completely with zero parts salvageable so can be a big waste of time going, but with consistent visits I have had some luck and saved myself a lot of money. Bring the right tools and a cart if you got one so if you strike your ready to remove/haul what your getting back upfront to pay. Definitely worth checking out if you need cheap parts, also pay attention or ask about how they have the rows of vehicles organized to save yourself time searching. Always call ahead to see if they even have your vehicle type on the yard at the moment.

Own my repair shop. Ordering from this place has been the worst experience in my history of used parts places. Such a hassle for people to answer the phones. Very unprofessional in this field. I am Hispanic and this place seems to be full of low balled Hispanics who don’t care about customer service. My sales rep was Bertha. Very hard to get a hold of her for a replacement transmission, then a return for it for my customer and a core. Was placed on hold for 15. Hung up, called again asked if she was on lunch, break or something. Passed me right over to her line I suppose. Waited another 5 mins. Hung up, called again. Just to find out that she went to lunch a minute ago. Ridiculous. The guy in the phone hung up on me while I was telling him how unprofessional they were. So tired of people like this…

"I had a great experience at this location, when I needed a car part. The staff member (HENRRY) who helped me was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and went above and beyond to find the exact part I needed. They had someone pull part for me, saving me a lot of time and effort. Their customer service was outstanding, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality parts and excellent service!"

We bought a defective part and the next day they wouldn't refund or even give credit for the part with a receipt. The non-citizen employees there think it's totally legal to sell defective auto parts with NO refunds or exchanges DO NOT buy from the Fredericksburg yard unless it's a body part that can't be defective. All mechanical parts are as/is (illegal) unless you buy a warranty for more $$$ that the cashier won't tell you about until you try and return stuff. I'm going to have the Va Department of Commerce investigate their policies and practices (and books) their ignorance will not protect them They have a big sign on the cashier's trailer that says parts can be returned for any reason, especially if defective

New management went Downhill -rip off prices -no one knows what they are talking about except the nice sign in lady -absurd customer service that rivals those of towing companies. -honestly will never go back and hope the original owners come back or hire some competent people. -if you want local business support then improve customer service -reduce predatory pricing (+200 for pulling labor for dc/dc convertor) took me 10 minutes to remove mine at home. -have knowledgeable associates -clean office environment, not one that looks like a trash tornado blew through it. -The guy (fade haircut, short hair) who quoted me $380 for the dc converter said he could call in 30 min it’s been over an hour so I’m sure that’s a lie too. I have been coming here for years and you could fill up your hands with parts and get a great deal, everybody knew at least some information and were helpful. July 30th noon and the whole place was in disarray, the office area has benches in front of the desk to block people from getting close. Even the office people didn’t know what kind of part I needed even after explanation and quoted me for a wrong one and then didn’t change the price when I corrected them. He didn’t know what area the part was either (he said engine bay) (it’s in the trunk next to the HEV) and I had to explain again. The only saving grace was the customer sign-in lady on the side who was friendly and helpful. The glory days are over. Even the outside workers didn’t know where section 996 was and sent us around and around confidently. I finally went to the lady and she told me, “it’s inside”. They wanted $380 for a dc to dc converter just because they pulled it for me and said if I pulled it myself it was $180. No guarantee if it was working. I found one on eBay for $165, tested from a battery selling company with returns and a “it’s working” guarantee.

Called 4 days before to ask if they had the car I was looking on the website for and they said they did. I called back the day of going there to make sure it was there and was hung up on 4 times. I get all the way there and talk to the front desk about it and they send me on my way to look for it with a row number. I walked around for 2 hours only to be told it’s on a private lot and they don’t know how to get to the car. I wouldn’t waste your time going here. Just buy new parts 😭

Very poor customer service period. Everyone at the counter seems to have an attitude when you go and ask for a part ask for the list for your vehicle. You go pull the part and it doesn't fit your vehicle. When you try to bring it back they have an attitude then they make you pay again to go remove another part... mind you, THEY GAVE YOU the list of vehicles that supposed to fit your vehicle so another words it's their fault why should you have to pay again

Absolutely the most unorganized salvage yard I have ever worked with. I work for a reputable body shop and needed to find a discontinued part. I spoke with Tony and was told they had the part and I would be able to pick it up the next day at the Fredericksburg location. Sent a driver to pick up the part and they left the guy standing for quite sometime before even acknowledging him. Then told him that they knew nothing about the part he was there to pick up. Called and spoke with Tony while driver was there and was told oh no it will be there tomorrow, when he had told us that morning that the part would be ready that day between 3 and 4. So tomorrow comes and we told again that the part would be available in another day. Needless to say you lost a potential repeat customer.

Wow. Is there another Pick-A-Part on Jefferson Davis Hwy I missed because I obviously haven't gone to the one all the people giving this place 1 and 2 stars have been at. I will say that is IF you are a fairly decent home mechanic and know what you are doing. This place is a extremely large yard and they turn the vehicles over often so if you have a fairly common car you will most likely have many to choose from. If you want customer service and someone to pull the part for you I can't speak to that as I have never had need for either. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because if it's rained the place becomes a mud pit and if it's hasn't rained in a long time there is a fine powdery dust that covers everything

Worst experience ever! I would rather pay full price for parts than deal with pick a part. They only cater to Hispanics and are extremely rude to everyone else. They tell you one thing and when you get there it’s something different. If they tell you that a part will be ready at 10am you’ll end up waiting until about 1pm for it. They need to really train their employees on how to deal with their customers. They answer they phone in a rude manner and act like you’re bothering them when you come in. There is a bunch of cursing out loud and they do not make you feel welcome at all. This place seriously needs to be closed down. The customers are the reason they’re in business. Do not come here if you don’t want to be discriminated against!!!

01/25/2025 GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Was i WRONG about this place. I have a rule: If i find that a business breaches what i see as good ethics, i can not trust anything else they do. If i can not trust anything that they do they will at best be the very last option if considered at all. Never had issue before. Would go, get a part, install it, everyone is happy. Regarding those afore cited front car seats - they were beautiful but the electric connectors wouldn't match the car. I had them for over half a year, so when time to clear a space i took them over to the Stafford location instead of FXBG as i wanted to see that. I believe it was the site manager i spoke with. I gave them to him despite his questioning of if i wanted anything for them; no, nothing, it was my fault and i would rather they make some money from them than the seats go to waste. Good enough. And so, two days ago, Thursday, January 23rd, 2025, in the cold i go to the "Fredericksburg" (Spotsylvania) location (where i usually go) and after much searching and contorting i extract an air conditioning compressor. Not to use for A/C, but for the pulley so the car will run as its pulley was "frozen" (as in mechanical failure) when the unit is properly mounted; i can fix the actual A/C properly in a couple months when my daughter's budget allows. When paying for the compressor i did glance at the big sign which read something to the effect of "For the 90 day warranty you MUST have your paid and dated receipt for the item" or something to that effect, which i kind of found funny as i was buying the compressor not for the compressor, but just the pulley to function (which did turn at the time). The next day i went out to put the unit on the car and found the pulley would not turn freely. Sometimes it would turn and other times it'd lock up. I couldn't use this, so the following day i drove the 25 minutes to return the unit. I had the receipt showing that only two days ago on "1/23/2025" i bought and paid for Qty 1, Each: $55.00 Part Description: A/C COMPRESSOR and in the same order, $8.99 for a Core Charge, $3.43 Sales Tax, an "ENVIRO CHARGE" of $1.67 and an "Enviro Tax" of $0.09, for a total of $69.84 from Angie at Register 2. Looking at the receipt now, despite what that sign that i read stated, it says "No returns or exchanges". Weird contradiction. When i walked into the offices i let the nice young lady at the counter know that i wanted to return a part that simply did not work, and she explained that to do so one must purchase a separate warranty. I questioned this as i only had given them my hard-earned money two days ago, but she assured me that this was what was needed. Interesting. I didn't recall anything about that, i only remembered the big sign when i was checking out that i honestly think foremost stated that there was a 90 Day Warranty for which i MUST have my dated paid receipt showing the item. Accepting that she was telling me the truth i thanked her, peacefully walked out and noted the sign again. It does start off with stating one needs the dated paid receipt showing the item for the 90 day warranty, then has roughly 10 other lines which under the circumstances come across as a software EULA. Near the end it speaks to the fact for the warranty to exist one needs to pay extra. Nice positioning. I guess that the laws about reasonable merchantability don't exist for scrapyards, even though they do charge for the product which would normally supersede any claims of "no warranty". I would think that any legitimate operator would start their sign off with the bold letters "NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED NOR IMPLIED UNLESS PURCHASED SEPARATELY" like you see when buying a used car. Interesting. Does this mean that used car dealers are more ethical than Pick-A-Part? I do know that it is harder to get a new customer than keep a regular. Since at this point it is my intention never to step foot on their property, i hope the $69.84 that they keep does them a lot of good, i've always wanted to check out M&M Auto Parts anyway.

BUYERS BEWARE!! Don’t buy car parts from this place if you want something to work. I was sold a faulty alternator that didn’t work and battery that doesn’t fit. The reason I knew the alternator was faulty is because I had it bench tested at a local autoparts store. Picture is below. They got kids working the front who need serious training on customer service. When I asked to speak to a manager he acted like it was a nuisance to come and take care of the issue. Do not get used car parts here. Shady ppl

Drove over 2 hours because the website said they had 5 of my car type in inventory. When I arrived, they said those cars are in an area that is not public access (there was nothing on the website regarding this). The guy at the counter said he would look for the parts I wanted and call me. He didn't. So basically, I wasted 4 hours (round trip) of my life when I could've just bought what I needed on eBay from a seller with better ratings. I won't waste my time again!

Came here TWICE today to get a hose that we needed for our car (Broke it the first time FML) The older gentleman checking bags at the exit was so nice & recognized us the second time we came through. Normally getting checked at an exit is an uncomfortable experience but he was amazing, kind, knowledgeable & really made our day after so much stress with a very brief conversation. Please let him know his kindness is seen & appreciated! Overall we were able to receive help in looking for the vehicle we needed to pick from & everyone was very friendly BOTH times we came in today ! 10/10 !! Will absolutely return.

The most unpleasant, unprofessional and lazy stuff I ever had a chance to work with. I went there and I was waiting 1 hours and 30 minutes for them to send a guy and to check do they have the part I need. Off course I left because I didn't want to waste my time anymore and by the way they were not busy, it was only me in the shop. When you call they put you on hold forever. It's night and day difference between this location and Stafford location. The stuff in Stafford is way better!

People are terrible. Had me on hold for 20 mins and had 4 different people ask me how can they help me just to get put on hold again. And 20 minutes later to tell me they threw away the part I paid them to get me. The lady said she told me it would be ready the next day but she never said that. And she said it was my responsibility to know that? Crazy and now I'm out 135. She only asked me for my number so I was waiting for them to call me when it waa ready. Crazy

The GOOD: 1st time visit, the pick a part entrance cashier was very polite, take your own tool remove the parts and get a great deal. Bought a few items for my commander at a great price. The BAD: Some parts are in a private area. You have to go to the office, and they have about 4 guys waiting to "help" BUT these idiots are extremely rude. I walked in said Good Morning walked up to the first spanish dude on the right and asked if he had parts for a Hummer H2, F350 his responds was rude and seemed like he didn't want to be there. Asked him a few questions to which he didn't bother checking and just said NO or Someo ne has to go check! Dude do your job, just say give me a few let me send someone to check can you wait? But no interest at all I. Selling. My friend wanted to buy a few corolla engines which were quoted at 1k each and the guy next to him told him I got it but they're not ready! (OK, what does that mean? ) my friend asks should I wait? Do you know when they be ready? Give me some info? But nothing the guy said nope someone has to check them and see if they work! Hahahaha what? Of when? Who? Should we call? Come back? At that point we just left .
