On February 10, 2025, a tow truck from R P’S Heavy Duty Towing, under the leadership of Joni Yardley, entered our property. Instead of using the designated driveway or a nearby side street for maneuvering, the driver recklessly chose to drive through the grass simply because it was easier. At no point did they check the area or assess what they were driving over before proceeding with their 18-wheeler tow truck. As a result, the driver ran over and destroyed the irrigation system, including a large valve box that controlled both the irrigation and well for the entire 2-acre property. This careless decision left the property without water for an entire week, creating major disruptions and requiring costly repairs. We immediately contacted the driver, who admitted fault and stated he would inform the owner, but no one from the company ever reached out. After multiple attempts, we were finally able to speak with Joni Yardley, but instead of taking responsibility, she refused to engage in a professional resolution and directed us to contact her lawyer. Witnesses include a licensed plumber who was on-site replacing a water heater, two additional adults who saw the damage firsthand, and another contractor present at the time. We also have clear video footage from multiple angles documenting the driver’s actions from the moment they entered the property until they left. A professional driver should have taken basic precautions, such as walking the area to check for underground infrastructure and ensuring a safe route, yet they failed to do so. Instead, the driver’s reckless shortcut caused significant damage and financial loss. The destruction of the irrigation system and well valve box resulted in an entire week without water, requiring emergency repairs and additional costs. Despite providing R P’S Heavy Duty Towing with video evidence, photos, and an invoice for the necessary repairs, Joni Yardley refused to acknowledge responsibility, forcing us to escalate the matter.

I went through Hagerty insurance for my classic that blew a wheel bearing at 70mph on 1585 East in pitch darkness. Damn if it was only 1900 when it happened. However, by 2200 I was in the motel 40 miles away and checked in. Super super professional, I can’t remember the name of the driver because I had been on the road 8 hours straight at that point and could barely remember mine. Anyways, no hurt, harm, or danger came upon me or my passenger, an 80 lb Dobermann. The driver was a former marine and you can defo see the work ethic in that. If I ever break down again near Lubbock, I want Hagerty to continue this contract.

Mr Twan is awesome! He came out and tried to jump my truck which has a dead battery, let me know I needed to be towed to get a new battery and he was able to come back when I got off work to make sure I got taken care of. He is knowledgeable, fast and does great work.. I highly recommend this company and Mr Twan!

I had a bad experience with this company and damages to my car. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. The response from the owner on this review is addressing a different situation than the one I am speaking of. To elaborate, there was damage to my rim, front bumper and wheel liner after I requested a tow to a dealership for a simple flat tire. The damages were covered, but the process and experience was bad and could’ve been prevented.

got my car towed for leaving it somewhere with very obvious no parking signs I didn’t see. Totally my fault & I was super embarrassed. They didn’t make me feel bad & were very nice! Paid what I had to & sent me on my way quickly (:

AAA had them pick up the vehicle twice and they refused the work order. Was never informed... However on the third day, AAA put in another request and Chris was outstanding and very helpful and professional.

I was put into contact with RPs through AAA after I called about a dragging skid plate. I was told by AAA that I would not be getting a tow and instead would have a technician from this shop come help me. An hour or so later I get a call from Brian Bell. Brian immediately gets on the phone and immediately relays to me that he WILL be towing my car (not in the kindest of tones I may add). I calmly tried to explain to him that all I needed was for someone to come jack my car and get the skit plate out, as AAA had told me. He continued to tell me harshly that he would not do that. While I fully understand that this company may only be obligated to tow my car and nothing more, It would have been more comforting to have been met with a kinder tone and have someone further explain the situation rather than have a grown man tell me (as a 19 year old girl in a highly stressful situation) that he will not help me and essentially does not care about my situation. I do not recommend RPs if you want to be met with kindness and understanding. Brian belle needs to be taught how to answer the phone, or not be made to answer them at all. RPs towing company needs to look further into the type of employees they are hiring for such a delicate situation as this. When a 19 year old clueless girl is calling you about car troubles do not shut them down and yell at them. If you need a towing company I recommend Cantu Wrecker, a very kind worker came to assist me in the way that Brian could not.

AAA assigned RP Towing for my vehicle problem last night. I was in a pretty obscure place. Tom, the driver, was very patient and diligent in locating my car. He was friendly and we spent the drive back joking around and having a very pleasant experience. Thank you for the concern and safety!

Pray you never get stuck with them for AAA of you get locked out of your car. They’ll decline the request after you receive a notification saying someone is on the way. And you won’t know they declined the request unless you call 30 minutes after the tech was supposed to show.

I went through AAA to get my vehicle back from Plainview to Lubbock. I was on the phone for 3 1/2 hours trying to get a tow. I am so glad that RP’s was assigned my request. AAA originally sent my request to Canyon. After Canyon refused to get my truck, RP’s accepted and brought back my truck that same evening. Very professional staff.

My experience was completely awful. I called and ordered a tow through AAA and they did not come at all, i called multiple times through AAA and was not contacted, and when I finally called them directly the man on the phone was rude and dismissive, while I stayed civil and nice after they’ve made me wait 5 hours for a tow, with no contact. Definitely don’t recommend this place, they’re unprofessional and rude, and didn’t do the one job I needed which was just a simple tow one mile away.

After spending over an hour with different insurance agents only to find out I wouldn't be covered for a tow, they gave me the phone number for RPs. The guy who helped me out was super awesome and very friendly. It was a very busy night after the Tech game, but I stayed patient until he got there. It took a little while but they were busy that day. He worked with me on pricing and arrangements. Even after he towed me to a tire shop the next day he was still willing to help me with my predicament. This guy was running on very little sleep, but he was a life saver! He was very kind compared to the rude police officer who waited with me. I am pretty sure he said his name was John. The price was acceptable and the service was both friendly and great. THANK YOU!!

I was put in contact with this towing company through my AAA membership. They were amazing!! Went above and beyond what a normal towing company does. Tried to find me a mechanic, was able to jump my car, also called me to make sure I arrived at my next destination safely. A+++++

My daughter had her vehicle towed by RP Towing because the tow truck driver, who is also the manager of the company couldn't find her sticker that was on the windshield. He admitted it was there later but refused to refund the money. He informed me that Justice the apartment manager agreed my daughter needed to pay the $338 towing fee for one day. Justice would not call me back to help out my daughter. It ended up costing $338. She is currently trying to pick up her vehicle that is impounded like she did something wrong.

AAA contracted them, they did not show up. Day after I learned from a driver who actually showed up the service guys got drunk and stopped answering the phone. My driver the following morning was amazing though. Took great care of me, wish I could remember his name.

Through AAA I've been towed by RP's twice and both times the drivers were incredibly kind and helpful. I wish I could remember their names in order to give them proper credit but in one instance the driver waited for me after dropping off my car and drove me back home in lieu of ordering an uber because I had just paid for two new tires and he felt bad that I would have had to spend more money. Another driver tried to offer me a spare tire so that I wouldn't need to buy one as I was getting my tire fixed. I am incredibly thankful for this towing company and would recommend them to anyone.

I see that we aren't the only ones getting ripped off by these people. They are sitting around campus fast food spots and towing kids cars. Mostly the ones who are new to the area. My daughter went in to get a bite to eat, to go, and by the time she came out her car was already on the truck. So what does this guy say? " I was waiting for you to in. Give me 150 cash and I'll take the car off the truck." Nice work fellas and it's probably illegal. But from looking at your reviews you do this a lot so keep up the good work and I am sure ANY good review is one of your employees trying to save your ratings.

The driver was rude. As we spoke on the phone I couldn't help but feel like the guy felt I had somehow inconvenienced him by needing a tow. Sorry, thought you were paid to do that. This is the second time I've used RP's towing simply because the dealership I have a warranty on my car with "suggested" them. I will no longer use this company simply on the limited interaction I have had with the driver.

The people who towed my car took 2 hours to get about 15 minutes down the road and then where kissing for about 5 of the 10 minutes they where there (leaning on my car just by the way) by the time they left with my car every single tire repair shop was closed we ended up having to spend $150 on one new tire because of the lack of responsibility and time management they had they also completed scratched and cracked my front bumper getting it off of the truck i recommend not using this company at all couldn’t go any lower on the stars but i wish i could.

I have not had the same experience as everyone else. I will say as I was traveling my morning commute to take my children to school, I noticed a vehicle in the far right hand lane driving slow and this bed style semi tow truck riding it's bumper. When the person in the car decided to pull into Health science center on 82nd in between Indiana and Quaker the truck driver just jerked his wheel into the middle lane (me), I, without thinking did the same thing as I was traveling 45 miles an hour and had my children in the car. I honked my horn and he honked back at me as if I had done something wrong. I called the number on the side of the truck and when telling the story and added I few colorful words, I was told there are 2 sides to every story. As a business owner, it is your duty to make sure your drivers are driving safe. It is also your responsibility to hold people accountable for their actions. He stated he wasn't there to see it so there was nothing he could do. I simply wanted an apology for almost hurting myself and my kids for an act of laziness then aggression. Very unprofessional and careless in my opinion!

December the 17th, almost midnight, I had to pull over on the Idalou Highway, alone, in 8 degrees. I thought I needed a tow. James took information over the phone, and arrived to help. I did not need a tow, he looked under my hood and took care of the problem. he literally saved the day. He was professional, friendly, and wonderful. I will definitely call again when stranded. Excellent.
