The employees on this business thinking all the people is stupid. Around 3 months ago I bought a latch door for 35 and then my other side door is stuck. I come back for another latch door and at time to pay the employ sed is a $159. For it. Jajajaja that part on line brand new is for $60.00. I'm never come back again. It's no my only part. A month ago I bought a ABS module for 80. And I lost my tickets. So have to pay for another one. But at the time to pay this is for a $120. Have no idea how the employee can change the price for a different costumer. My friend bought The same part 1 day before and the payment was for $78. I think there is some kind of scam in this business. Don't waste your time and money on a bad deal. There are better ones where you can see the prices online and not pay a different price every day. Some days the price is double.

I originally scheduled for a tow to junk my vehicle between 2pm-4pm today. I received a call earlier today at 11:30am from dispatch requesting if I can have a tow sent within the next 2 hours instead. I was to have a tow between 11:30am-1:30pm as agreed and it is now 4:30pm. I finally received a call from the tow truck driver saying he is an hour and half away from arriving and If I would still like a tow, meaning he will be here sometime around 6pm. I been calling all day for an eta wondering where my tow was with no luck and finally got an answer from the call center, now that the original location is closed for the day, with lack of accountability or empathy towards their lack of communication with me. This is unprofessional and there was no need to call me for an earlier tow just to have me wait 7 hours for them. A complete waste of my of time I would never get back ***UPDATE*** Just got a call from the call center saying the tow ended his shift at 5pm and will not be coming in today and if we can reschedule for Monday instead. I took a whole day off work for this, this is unacceptable and I deserve some type of compensation or solution for this mess, truly disappointed in this service.

Terry and rest of the people at Chicago U-Pic-A-Part were an amazing help to Phi Kappa Psi in our last fundraiser, which helped raise over $500 for a school to help fund new science equipment. Terry was a wonderful help and got us a car to use and towed it to and from the location making the entire event much easier and allowed for maximum donation to the school. They helped us pick a car, get it to and from the site and were assisting us in every way possible to assure the event went smoothly. We cannot thank Terry and the entire crew at Chicago U-Pic-A-Part enough for playing such a major role in our fundraiser!

They sold me a instrument cluster that didn't work and they refused to change for a different one because I didn't have the ticket even they marked all on the back of the part and said they would change it if something was wrong.

I have been picking parts for my car several times in the last year, and Pick Your Part Chicago South was easily the best experience so far! I traveled from Northeast Indiana because they had the best inventory, and was pleasantly surprised by how clean and organized their lot was. I’ve never picked in a yard that was paved, a huge plus. The employees that checked me in and out were also very friendly and nice to chat with while checking out with my parts. Highly recommended!

U-Pic-A-Part will charge you an entry-fee so you can enter in hopes that the donor vehicle still has the part you need. I'd suggest you go across the street to Frank's Auto parts first to avoid having to pay the fee for a part that may have already left the yard. The prices at Frank's are typically cheaper than U-Pic-A-Part's in my experience as well.

Aaron is a good door man Just stop and talk to him he will support you in anything

They never answer the phone and it says they close at 5pm yet I arrived around 4 a few days ago and they were closing already.

Its a great place! I do have one issue I hope they address.. looks like the place was bought and they rearranged the lot. If you guys read this please put dakotas and durangos back into the dodge area in front! They are all mixed up with the big trucks and now have two areas to find dodge products! Not the best lay out! Have all vehicles in one are under the manufacturer name! Also bring back the 7 day return policy! Not everyone has the money to buy a warranty!!! Sincerely your customer!

I was there yesterday to pull and intake right before closing I must have been one of the last customers. I left a 1/2in MacTools impact gun at the register and I tried calling to see if it was still there and you guys don’t answer the phone.

Old men on the office has the worse ethic to treat customer. Had a question and go to the office and all the staff members do notknownothing about customer service.. Just because is office just for employees and they got the sign covered with a Christmas decoration not able to been seen. All this beside the over pricing. They deserve 0 stars but a lest have to rate 1 to post.

Great place to get used car parts! Affordable prices. Cons: once my side mirror was stolen while I looked for car parts, so be on the lookout park close to the main entrance.

After Victory Auto Wreckers closed in Bensenville I looked around for another salvage yard and found Pick your part. I visited the one on 3130 S. St. Louis Ave. For a salvage yard this is a good place. They do have a website where you can check for the car you're looking which is convenient. Entry fee was $3 and you can also ask the person you're paying the entry fee to give you a printout of the location of the cars you're looking for. I pulled some really small parts for my chevy sonic shifter and when I was leaving the person didn't charge me for them which was nice. Taking off one star because their rows aren't clearly labelled so it took me a while to find the cars. Rows are marked at the extreme ended on the fences. What I think they should do is also spray paint the car with the row number instead of having a QR code.

Great place to find your car parts!

i spoke to the manager that other reviews have complained about and sure enough he's rude, senile, and racist. Immediately upon seeing the color of my skin he rolled his eyes and gave me attitude without even asking what i needed or what was wrong. Unprofessional behavior like this should not be allowed for a "manager"
- JJesus
I was overcharged and when i asked the manager for a refund, he proceeded to grab his groin and yell "here's your refund." The workers are super nice but the manager and security here are so rude and never take accountability for screwing over customers. I would stay 100ft away from this place.
- KKevin
ONLY REVIEW you'll need. The inventory is large but the prices are ungodly high. Extremely overpriced for just the car part and on top of that, they force upon you an "environmental & warranty" fees per item. Even if you need that warranty..... There's only one manager and it's an old guy who's beyond rude and unprofessional. They don't accept any of their mistakes and blame the customer, good luck getting a refund or even having a reasonable conversation with management. I would suggest Pick-n-pull in Summit or checking RockAuto to see if they have your part brand new. Local based car parts store like BestValue or even a Oreilys over this. This guy doesn't deserve a single $1 of your hard earned money. LKQ this is your most central location in the third largest city in the nation. Yet you let emotional & crook managers run this place. Wasting a great location letting these people run this place. Some, definitely not all, of the employees even treat customers rudely but it's because the management team here sets that standard and show them it's okay. Terribly run business.
- JJimenna Molina
Staff that’s at the exit is extremely rude and unprofessional, also prices are ridiculous for used parts. They’re almost the same price as buying new ones. Definitely do not recommend.
- MMarat Region
The price is very high for spare parts, you can just buy at this price on amazon. At other sites, the price is twice as low.
- JJovani Velasquez
Over priced make it make sense when a new part is cheaper then what there selling used worst experience
- cchinolkn
This place is a really huge junkyard with plenty of cars and parts to choose from. The price may vary but for some things, the price is too high and for others, the price is too low, so I guess it compensates. Overall it's a good spot to get apart that you might need, from the body to the engine.

I bought a cadillac hood, fender, water reservoir, mass air flow, along with a head light for 230 dollars which I had insured was so busy didn't receive a receipt. Brought the light back the next day and although all the employees remembered me. I was refused a refund because I had no receipt which I never received. Now that how they do business.
- CC0PK
New pricing system is a joke!!! Charging full price for used parts and you have to go pull yourself. Absolutely unreal prices!!!!! Buyers beware before you Waste your time pulling parts for unreal prices.
- 00ptime 22
They were asking $100 for a transmission solenoid, which I declined I’ll rather pay a few bucks more for one that is new oem, bought it online for almost the same price.
- eedith villalta
Well hello my lovely friend. Yes we when to the pick and pull yard to looking for a transmission for a Lincoln navigator 1999. For my Ness but unfortunately they don't have it. But however they were so kind . As always it was a really nice experience 😊
- MMidway 312
1 the system was down and they didn't say anything when I came here. 2 i tried to return my part 1 hr later they said no returns today the system is down. They weren't sure when it will be up. 3 I called and came the next day to return my part. They don't do returns, only store credit. Even if you pay cash. I have no idea when I will be back to get another part. Basically this place traps your money if the parts you pulled don't fit. I definitely will not recommend this place. Plus they have no inventory of the vehicles they have, so you have to walk around first in the lot to look if they have your vehicle, but you have to pay $2 just to look and if they don't have your car your out $2. No refund or store credit. I tried looking them up in the BBB I couldn't find them. So everyone be prepared to pay 2 dollars weather they have your vehicle or not, also if you pull a part and it doesn't work or fit, you won't get your money back. You have to wait some other day and spend another $2 to walk around and see if they have your vehicle. No telling when they will have your vehicle so you could spend 2 dollars every time you come and they don't have your vehicle. Plus you can't get your money back just store credit. Whatever you do don't lose that customer copy with your store credit, then you'll never get your money at all. Unfortunately I have to come another time and spend another 2 dollars and do the whole cycle over again. I would give this place no stars.
- MMario Zavala
They make you pay warranty for parts then when you return them white dude talks about it's parts from somewhere definitely old management was better
- EEvan Sanchez
Went here to buy a cruise control assembly, which is priced at $19.49 on the website and I had just purchased one the same day at the north location for that price. The manager with the pink hair, I believe her name was Patricia, refused to ring me up for a cruise control assembly claiming it was "Worth way more than that" and tried to ring me up for a chassis control module at $41.39. I walked out empty handed because I am not going to drive 40 minutes into the city, walk around a hot yard, wrestle with rusty bolts, get covered in oil and dust just to get over charged on a basic car component by an overzealous manager who thinks that she gets to make up prices on the fly.
- DDemonx xReaper
Overall nothing special to report. They do take cards for your purchases but you do need to pay cash for the $3 entry fee. I wish they had more signage so you know where you were. But you can use the barcodes on the cars themselves plug them into the website to kind of get an idea of where you are. But besides that is sure every day junkyard. One of my only complaint was they close early sometimes
