I took an old steel desk and some mixed lead to Cohen on Old Frankfort Pike and made an easy $20. It was my first time here and one scale was not in use. I mistakenly went through and missed the second scale. The gentleman who wrote me up, Jeremy aka Stumpy, was very kind and directed me back to the outbound scale then skipped me to the front of the line on my return trip. The wait was a little longer than I expected due to the inbound scale being out of service. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience and a nice break from the typical routine each day. I intend to bring my sons to see first hand this part of our economy and the process for end-of-life metals, appliances and scrap. Very cool :D

I'd never been to a recycling yard before and was taking a bunch of scrap from my late father's place so we can sell it. Steve saw I was clearly distressed and helped me along the way. I was using a trailer I hadn't used in 15 years and I had a rental truck for this so I was way out of my element. Thanks Steve, I'll never forget your help.
