Overheard the one of the workers (tall white guy with red hair) making racist jokes about Mexicans while pointing at a Spanish speaking couple. The front desk older woman was also rude. Would recommend spending your mine elsewhere.

I have been going to this place for years, the prices were reasonable for the parts that you selected. Now, you can’t pick up anything there and expect a reasonable price. They charge you for core part now. Also, they are price gouging, the price for the USED parts are the same as the brand new part or even cost more than what you would get them for. Don’t waste your time going there, you are better off buying the new part. Yes they provide convenience and OEM parts, but this is still a junk yard, and pricing parts close to new OEM parts is just wrong. Other junk yard that I have been to sells their used parts at a reasonable price no matter what you pick up there. And looking at all your reviews and not making any changes says a lot about how you feel about all your customers. Everyone complaining about the same thing, the unorganized lot and high prices for used parts.

Back in December, me and my fiancé went to this junkyard Mt Airy location and my fiancés tool bag WAS NOT checked PROPERLY at all by this old lady behind the desk in the entrance. MY jumper cables that I paid out of MY pocket were in that tool bag and we were not aware that the jumper cables were in there. Me and my fiancé are leaving and getting checked out by this tall bald security guard and the security guard comes off harsh, loud, and rude right off the bat saying we are stealing jumper cables. We’re telling him “we’re sorry we weren’t aware the jumper cables were in the bag and those are my jumper cables we’re not stealing. It won’t happen again but there is a way to approach someone especially if they are customers at YOUR job.” He continues to be rude and yell when there is a line behind us watching and listening to this man be rude and EXTREMELY unprofessional. Accusing me and my fiance in front of other customers of us stealing jumper cables from a car in the junkyard and saying he’s been working there for the longest time and he knows how it goes. He says in a very harsh tone “don’t ever let it happen again!” When he finally let us leave. We did not say anything and we spared that man because that had us very stunned on how unprofessional someone can be especially in front of other customers like it’s a show!! My fiancé returned to that junkyard many other times after that but today, is the first time my fiancé seen the security guard there since the discussion in December. The same security guy saw my fiance being checked out on parts he was PAYING FOR AND PULLED APART HIMSELF and told a worker checking him out not to sell to him. That is EXTREMELY unprofessional and something needs to be done about this security guard and you guys checking peoples bags PROPERLY. There were people that were watching that discussion and even commented on the security guard being unprofessional and rude to many other people as well. Sounds like to me you guys will lose customers more than gain new customers. Something needs to be done there.
