Customer reviews of Copart Tower in Dallas, TX

COPART handle total loss claims for USAA. So, I spoke with USAA regarding the repairs, I was told that I had to use their source "Caliber Collision" to get an estimate. I asked, if I can used another Repair Shop instead of Caliber Collision. I was told, yes, I would need to go the Caliber first and get their estimate. USAA will review the estimate from Caliber, then I can take Caliber's estimate to the "Shop" of my choice. I asked, can I get an estimate from the Shop of my choice. I was told, NO! I would have to use caliber's estimate. I asked, what if the other Shop is less than Caliber's estimate. I was told, I would still need to use Caliber's estimate. Regardless if the other shop is less. Then, USAA would decide if the claim can be approved after they reviewed the estimate from Caliber Collision which was deem a total loss. $283.00 under the Threshold. Caliber's estimate $3,600...I received and email from USAA stating that the 2003 Jaguar 129K miles cannot be repaired, and USAA requested the vehicle deem "total loss." I am constantly getting these annoying emails from COPART, asking to sign the "Total Loss Packet" in order for them to close their claim. According to COPART, they cannot close the claim until they get the sign title. I don't think so! The vehicle is in pristine conditions, and I had the vehicle repaired, picked up on the 31st of March. Photos enclosed: The left fender "soft ball size damage with chipped paint around the impact." Second photo: Vehicle at Caliber Collision. Caliber disassembled the vehicle, and they took off parts off the driver side which they added in their ridiculous estimate. The damage was on the passenger left fender. They took the left headlight out and added an estimate $995.00 for one New headlight. I had just gotten the vehicle out of the shop the day prior to...I had the headlights repaired. That extra cost helped offset the "Threshold" so that the vehicle can be deem as "Total Loss." Last photos: Showing the vehicle pick up from "the body shop" of my choice. The cost to repair the vehicle was less than half the amount that Caliber estimated. That's why, USAA denied using another estimate. USAA/COPART wanted the vehicle. I am not going to continue the claim with USAA. The repairs were done out of pocket. I hope that COPART will acknowledge the cease and desist letter sent to them, or they will have this claim open for years to come. COPART...You're not going to get the Jaguar, so move on.

They won't accept cashiers check anymore, and you are limited on how much you can spend per day on debit card. When they actively sell vehicles for larger than that limit. They've gotten too big and have become a nightmare to deal with. If you can avoid doing business with them I would recommend it. Also half their call center staff can't speak fluent English. Very unprofessional.

We are indirectly dealing with Copart on a total loss though USAA. They are so disconnected with the claim process its incomprehensible. It's been 2.5 months of what seems like an episode of The Three Stooges. They have repeatedly reached out to me for the perfected title which since the beginning they have had the lien holders info and account number to handle the small payoff. Each time it seems to fall on deaf ears and now approaching the final payment will further delay the payout to replace the vehicle thats been out of service for 3 months. What was missing? An owner authorization letter so they could speak to my bank. You would think that this could have been mailed out in the initial packet that had power of attorney form as well. For some reason it took 2.5 months to figure out there was a lien after multiple confirmations from myself and giving them and confirming account information.

Fix your processes Copart.
