Since purchasing a residential property in Green Valley Farms (on the outskirts of San Benito) in September, Jose Valencia, owner of Joe’s Scrap Metal, has repeatedly used the property in a manner that appears inconsistent with residential zoning and local ordinances.<br><br>Multiple vehicles and large amounts of scrap material have been dumped and stored on the property, creating unsafe and unsanitary conditions. This activity has led to a noticeable rodent infestation affecting surrounding homes, has negatively impacted nearby property values, and has significantly reduced the quality of life for residents in the area.<br><br>Additionally, there are serious concerns regarding improper disposal of automotive fluids, including oil and other materials, which poses environmental and public health risks. This type of activity does not belong in a residential neighborhood and should not be tolerated.<br><br>Despite the ongoing nature of these issues, the illegal dumping and accumulation of scrap continue. Neighbors have been forced to live with constant disruption, health concerns, and declining neighborhood conditions. This situation needs to be addressed by the appropriate authorities to protect residents and enforce local codes.
