I am not the type of person to do reviews on places that I have purchased from but ordering a car from the auction was very stressful my second time with them. The first time was really good but then I won an auction and they informed me that I had to wait for days until they received a confirmation for the car. They never reached out to me. I was the one that kept on reaching out to them. their communication is not good. I would say try your best to avoid using SCA-Auction. They collect a lot of fees just for nothing. I basically won the bid and they told me that I did not win the auction.

I strongly recommend avoiding SCA Auctions. They present themselves as an auction company, but in reality they operate more like a broker whose goal seems to be collecting as many fees and deposits as possible while providing very little actual service or transparency.

I deposited $1,000 so I could bid on motorcycles, placed a bid, and appeared to win — only for the listing to suddenly disappear with no explanation. I later learned that because I did not have their “Premier” membership, I could not even see the final live bidding stage. So I paid the additional $200 for Premier Access… which never activated. All day long I kept getting the same “waiting for documentation/approval” error. I called, chatted, and emailed support trying to get it fixed so I could bid on the next motorcycle. Nothing.

A phone rep told me to email my bid so they could place it manually. I did exactly that. My bid was never placed. I watched the auction stay “live” long past its posted end time, then the listing simply disappeared again. When I asked what happened, they told me the seller rejected the low bid (not mine, because they never placed it), and had already relisted the motorcycle — now suddenly labeled as a non-repairable vehicle. None of this was communicated upfront.

Only after speaking with a staff member did I learn that their “auction times” do not actually mean anything. They pause bidding for an hour, then reopen it, then run a separate, very short auction window that you cannot participate in unless you have the Premier upgrade (which, again, they took my money for but never activated).

When I finally gave up, I asked for my $1,000 deposit back and was told it would take 1–2 weeks. I asked for my $199 Premier membership refund since it never worked — they refused. I’m now disputing the charge with my credit card company.

In my experience, SCA’s system is confusing, inconsistent, and feels designed to generate fees rather than provide a fair auction process.

On July 7, 28, 2025 I won the bid on a 2008 Nissan Maxima, Invoice# 147136 from SCA AUCTIONS LLC. I had a maximum bid of $575 and was charged $1,696 (details below).

Winning price + Auction fees = Sale price 1080
Transaction fee 250
Documentation fee 199
SALES PRICE DUE $1696

SCA Auctions did not contact me until September 16, 2025, stating they received the title.

On September 29, 2025, SCA Auctions contacted me and stated the title had been delivered by FedEx. Apparently, there was no signature required and the FedEx envelope was gone before I came home from work.

I contacted SCA Auction on October 20, 2025, about the missing title and they responded “We've sent a request to the auction to check if they can order a duplicate. Once we have an update, we'll let you know”. On October 31, I still had not heard back from SCA, so I sent them another email. They responded “Hello! Let me see if we have an update from the yard”. On November 3, 2025, I received the following response from SCA, “Unfortunately, we wouldn’t be able to get a duplicate for this unit”. I responded “DMV said you're the only one that could get a duplicate title. Can I ask why you cannot request a duplicate title? SCA response was “That was a reply from the auction house”.

So now I have a car that doesn’t run, that I was overcharged in auction fees, with no title and SCA Auction refusal to assist me.

It only takes one other person to have a similar experience with SCA auction to file a class action suit against them.

Let me know.

SCA, please do not add a lame response to my review.
