I had a very limited amount to spend on a car. I was introduced to the owner as a reputable person. I bought a car from him. He said he had fixed it and the insurance company hadn’t paid him. So the car should have been fine. I had it less than a week and it ran hot and left me stranded in the middle of a 4 way intersection. My husband came to help me. Water was pouring out of the back of the engine area where a water hose had come loose. We replaced the part and it continued to run hot. We replaced the thermostat and it would start to run hot if you went over 60 miles an hour. I wanted to go out of town so we took it to Christian Brothers in Evans to try and figure out why it was still having problems. They said that the radiator cap had been damaged and was not sealing properly. So they changed it out and ran a pressure test and they said once pressurized water started gushing out the head gasket. I bought this car at the first part of September 2025. It has left me stranded twice. Now just 2 months into owning this car he was supposed to have fixed, we find out that it has a bad head gasket! Not only that but the motor mounts were bad too. Obviously, a tow man is no mechanic. Let him tow your car but otherwise do not buy a car from him! I will have to see what the lemon laws are for the state of Georgia to try and get my money back.
