So, got myself into a pickle yesterday. Such nice weather, I had to get out in the backcountry for some fun. But, had to leave The Buggy up on a steep hillside overnight East of Boise. Andy, with ACT, bailed me out this morning. He had the stones to drive it out and up the hill when I did not. No damage. I learned from a master. Great dude! Great service!

Absolutely terrible company. Exact reason tow companies have a bad name right here. My wife came to pick up my daughter from me at event I was working at. There was very limited parking so she quickly parked in a closed business parking spot. This scam company booted her running car within 5min. We called and explained the situation. Their solution was to only charge us $125 so my wife and daughter could drive home. Their driver just circles around looking for cars to boot so they scam more honest people. Great job taking money from hard working people. Hopefully you never have to deal with this company.

Avoid ACT Towing.<br><br>I was in an accident and my rental was towed to their yard. The next morning I realized I left a set of keys inside the truck. I called first and asked if I could come grab them. They told me yes, no problem.<br><br>I drive over, walk in, and then they tell me there’s a “gate fee” unless I wait until Monday. Surprise fee: $100. This was never mentioned on the phone.<br><br>I leave frustrated. About an hour later I get a text from ACT Towing saying:<br><br>“Hey Chris this is ACT Towing, we have to have that payment made today otherwise it goes to collections.”<br><br>Then I look at the bill they sent and now the charge is suddenly $105, not $100.<br><br>So let me get this straight:<br><br>You don’t disclose the fee on the phone.<br>You spring it on me in person.<br>Then you immediately threaten collections by text.<br>And the amount magically increases.<br><br>Charging someone over $100 just to retrieve their own keys after an accident is bad enough. Adding surprise fees and instant collection threats pushes this into predatory territory.<br><br>Zero transparency. Zero empathy. Hard pass.
