I made an appointment online to have my car serviced. I am not from the area so I do not know trustworthy places to take my car. This place was recommended, was told I will pay more but my car will be taken care of.

I took my car in originally due to my radiator hoses blowing and needing replaced. I asked them to look at everything that had to do with my coolant system and to make sure no other issues were present. $1300 later my hoses were replaced and coolant resivoir were replaced along with my belt and tensioner. 2 weeks later and I am still smelling coolant and also going through antifreeze when I shouldn’t be. I went through a gallon and a half of antifreeze. I took my car back to Firestone and explained my issues. The next day I drove by Firestone and noticed my car still outside in the same location. 10 mins later I called and was lied to and was told my car was inside being looked at and that they had been working on it for a while. BS! When I was contacted about what they found, I asked why this was not found the first time and if the leak is small, why am I going through as much antifreeze as I am?! Needless to say I was extremely pissed and irritated.

So now I have to have my heater core hoses replaced due to the incomplete and untrustworthy repairs that were completed when I first took them my car. I feel this should have been found when they did the original work to my car. Disappointed, pissed and will NEVER recommend this location to anyone.

I was never explained the work orders, the inspection that was done or anything else. I was sent an email and reviewed the work orders myself. Why were these not reviewed with me PRIOR to me leaving the location. Horrible customer service!!

Brought my 2007 Honda Odyssey in for a $120 diagnostic after my regular mechanic found 12 misfire codes (two per cylinder). I explained the situation when I called to make the appointment.

I initially asked about just replacing the spark plugs, but was advised it would be better to diagnose the root cause first through inspection. So I agreed to the diagnostic.

After dropping it off, they called to say they couldn’t find any codes. I reminded them about the misfire codes and mentioned my mechanic must have cleared them the day before. When they called later to say they were done, they said since the codes had been deleted, there wasn’t much for them to go on.

When I went to pick up my car, I showed them a photo of the free AutoZone code readout from May showing the same misfire codes. That’s when they changed their story — now it wasn’t about the deleted codes, it was that they couldn’t do anything because the engine wasn’t actively misfiring.

Before arriving to pick up my car, I asked them to pull a spark plug to visually inspect it, since at 135,000 miles the plugs have likely never been replaced. They refused, saying the plugs weren’t easily accessible. That’s not accurate from what others have told me — the front three plugs on this engine are readily accessible — pulling one takes five minutes and would have shown obvious wear.

When I asked for a printout showing what diagnostic steps they performed, they said they don’t have one — but assured me they did more than just hook up the computer and watch a few minutes for misfires. If you can’t document the work, how do I know what I paid for?

It would have helped to know upfront that if the engine wasn’t actively misfiring, they wouldn’t be able to do much for the $120 fee. In retrospect, they steered me toward a diagnostic that costs nearly half as much as just replacing the plugs — but they weren’t going to actually look at the plugs during that diagnostic. And if the problem isn’t happening constantly (just 12 codes across 6 cylinders apparently isn’t “constant” enough), they wouldn’t find anything anyway. I wish they had explained that before I agreed to pay.

I left with no diagnosis, no repair recommendation, and $120 lighter. They also refused to apply the diagnostic fee toward any repair work. I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Went in for a scheduled appointment this morning. Guy at the front desk was covered in negative energy and rude. I gave him the same energy he gave me, and ended up leaving after he checked me in. He “only had one guy working with 3 in front of me, so it’s going to be a while.” Why accept the appointment if staffing is going to be an issue? Someone needs to teach this guy how to bring positive energy and how to provide customer service. I came to Firestone this morning, not the post office. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
