ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION. To give an honest and respectful review, I was not very pleased with my experience here. I have used both of their locations and had a different experience every time.

First experience in Lyndon (2024/early 2025 I think) was great but they didn’t have the equipment to fix my issue so I was sent to the River Rd location. At first rather than fix the issue requested they gave me a very long list of other issues my car had (I drive a 2009 impala. It’s old so of course there’s a bunch of little things wrong with it). It took having to call back to Lyndon to just get them to fix the issue. But ya know, miscommunication happens and I moved on.

Then last week I dropped it off with an engine light issue and a loud muffler. I get a call that the engine light was likely due to my air filter being on wrong but they fixed that and it should be fine (it came on again after I left) They then said I had a clogged muffler and it would cost $800+ to fix due to it being welded to other parts so it all needed replaced. At this point the man on the phone was still very nice but I said thank you and that I would pick it up just to get a second opinion. Again, old car. I don’t want to put a ton of money if not needed. I pick up and the man at the desk proceeded to kind of give an attitude and say “well the diagnostic was included if we did the work but since not it’s $170 so if you come back the quote will still be the $800+”. I said no worries just want to be sure and he the says “well they will just tell you the same thing and you’ll be back”. Well alrighty I don’t need the attitude sir for doing my due diligence.

Today, I went elsewhere and got my muffler fully replaced due to HOLES in it not clogged for $570 including the diagnostic fee that was $98. If I would have went here it would have been $800+ and that’s with them being “gracious” to remove the $170 diagnostic fee. Saved almost half for getting a second opinion.

I've been a customer for 2.5 years, regularly sending 2-3 vehicles throughout the year — mostly for oil changes, although I did get a new drive belt installed once. I've regularly gotten great service and coaching about foreseeable issues, which I've found very helpful.

However, 2025 has introduced some significant cost jumps that I find worrisome as a trend, although the inflation very well could be an industry norm. For example, in comparison to oil changes I got just 3 and 6 months ago, prices have increased as follows: oil service (+$5, +20%); oil service parts (+$3.96, +15.2%); shop supply fee (+2, +67%); environmental fee (+$2, +67%).

As an another reviewer recently noted, I also experienced an unexpected shop closure mid-day on a Thursday. I left a voicemail and we managed to sort everything out within an hour thanks to a call back, however, but it might have been a bigger issue if I were on a tighter schedule.

Overall, the trustworthiness and convenience factors still win my household's business — but due to cost increases I'll have to be cautiously optimistic in 2026, I'm afraid.

Need to change their business hours. They were closed between 2-5pm the two days I tried to get service. Was told they were "on a long break" when I called the other location to see if they were coming back. Waited over 2 hours both days for someone to return to the shop so I could get my car back from repairs. Also would not answer the phone all day when I tried to inquire about when the car would be ready. Would not recommend.
