Got a th400 rebuilt for 1000hp rated on my Foxbody and the transmission still shifts like it was day one after 1 year of abuse.. I recommend Vons transmission for all your race car and off-road needs.

I called Von on 10/09/23 with an issue I was having with my 74 Dart. He took the time to talk with me on the phone and told me to bring it in to see what he could do. I took it to him the next morning, he solved the problem and I was on my way back home! His grandson was working with him, and both were a pleasure to do business with!
I will definitely be back!

As posted in another review, one of the flakiest and ghosted me too on a return to fix my truck a 2nd time for same part.

While hes barking at me about my trailer brakes box, he thought it was a tuner, he cant get either one of his code readers to work. He had to get the neighbor to read my truck error code.

Very unprofessional.

UPDATE TO VON'S REPLY. I only received $800 back. No receipts on several repairs. Gee i wonder why.

His story keeps changing. First he got mad when i called and said trans had failed. I asked when i could bring it in. Later his story changed to he was just playing on the phone. Now its i demanded to bring it in when i told him i had a doc appt. I really didnt want to take my truck back to him but by law i had to give him a chance to fix his repair. Like stated, hes a flake. When he handed me the $800 back he claimed i was rude to him when i dropped off my truck. Why would anyone piss off a mechanic BEFORE they fix your veh? It's like messing with a cook making your meal. I had my cell recorder on both times to prove who was lying. I suggest anyone using this flake to do the same in case you end up in court.

And to top it all off truck still has an issue.

Caveat emptor

2ND & FINAL UPDATE.

I took my truck to Bensons who changed the same electronic sensor part in the trans as Von had changed. Bensons put in a factory oem part. The part they took out that Von put in wasnt factory oem even though i paid Von $800 for oem. See pic. The cheap aftermarket parts vons used both times failed in 4 weeks. His BS that he only installs parts doesnt cover using cheap crap parts and charging more for oem parts.

This oem sensor also fixed another issue i didnt know was related. On my drive gear indicator the D stopped lighting up when in drive. Von said i needed to have my mechanic replace the cable for $200. That didnt fix that issue. The oem part did.

So im out $200 for a cable i didnt need and the 2 trips to get a faulty part installed. Plus the $200 labor Von charged me. I cant prove the labor part cuz he never gave me any receipts.

To show how desperate Von is to CYA, no reviews in 9 months and suddenly glowing reviews to pump his rating back up. He even gets his coworker grandson to post a review. This guy commited fraud and Bensons can back me up on it.

REPLY TO VONS COMMENT

You need to retire. Your comment i was headed to MT and couldnt wait for oem part is BS. You changed the part 2x. Before MT and 2nd time after MT when that 1st part failed again. Bensons took the 2nd part off in the pic. Whats your excuse for using a non oem part the 2nd time, I wasnt headed anywhere then? Stop digging the hole.
