I have used Lake Area for garbage for over 5 years now at two different homes, and I have nothing but good things to say. The men on my current route are amazing! They are friendly, helpful, and always go above and beyond. Today it was super windy and instead of leaving my cans by the road, they took a few extra steps and set them next to my garage so they wouldn't blow away. I always have great interactions when I call in too.

I have had this trash service for over a year now without any major issues. I had some big items picked up a few months ago, and then had some extra trash picked up this month. Both times they quoted me a price over the phone and then charged me a lot more on my bill than what was quoted. I didnt bother with it the first time, I just paid it and moved on, but this time I called to ask why I was charged more than I thought I would be charged. They owner told me that I was lying about being quoted amounts over the phone, and that they will no longer pick up any extra from me because I was questioning the charge. I asked why he was treating me like that. He proceeded to be very nasty to me on the phone and told me that he would just cancel my trash service and he doesnt care. Please do not use this service, there are so much better ones out there that will treat you professionally

It dependable at all. I use them out of Pawnee and since March (June now) they have missed 5 trash pick ups. When you call they give you excuses, today’s excuse was at 10:30 am, they said ‘oh it’s still the pick up day they still have time to swing by.’ It’s now 2:18 pm and my trash is still full next to the road. I’ve been given excuses that they pick up early, so now I leave the trash out around 11 pm the night before, still don’t pick it up. When you ask for the manager they never call back. Time to move on to a more reliable trash hauler. Pics from 10:30 this morning multiple full lake disposal cans on the road.
