A customer's Tesla was crashed by a renter. The owner located the car via GPS, then faced significant issues with the towing company, Colt-Land Towing. The tow driver was initially rude and claimed the owner was unresponsive. Colt-Land Towing demanded a $1000 cash payment to release the vehicle and refused to accept any card payments. They also applied numerous additional charges including daily storage fees, a "no key" charge, an "additional hour waiting" fee, and a fuel surcharge. The customer also found evidence that the car was dragged, potentially causing further damage. This is nothing short of a predatory scam! Colt-Land Towing is exploiting people in vulnerable situations, holding their vehicles hostage with outrageous cash demands and piling on bogus fees. They clearly don't care about customer service or proper handling of property, only about extracting every last dime. It's an absolute outrage and a warning to anyone unfortunate enough to deal with this company!

Dishonest business practices preying on those already having bad luck with vehicle issues by charging asininely high prices. On top of that, the older guy is blatantly rude and makes a bad situation even worse. I cannot recommend you use their services unless you have no other choice.

I recently got my car towed after a minor fender bender with my vehicle, In the stress of it all I took the keys out and somehow lost them. I looked for them for around 10 to 20 minutes and could not find them. After my car was towed to their yard I was charged $250 for the time it took me to look for my keys as well as $150 for not having it and another $250 for the tow itself on top of it all I was charged a $45 fee so the towing fee to move my car costed me $695 IN CASH, I had to ask people I knew becuase who has $700 cash laying around, the money I spent will be more than the work I will put in to reshape and fix my wheel/fender. Do not pay these people they will squeeze every dollar from you and probably pocket some while being extremely rude.
