Dropped off my boyfriend’s truck this morning for a 9 a.m. appointment for an oil and transmission fluid change. When scheduling the appointment last week, he was told it would take about an hour. By noon—three hours later—the truck still hadn’t even been looked at. Then, at 1:49 p.m., he receives an estimate for over $600. He calls at 2:08 p.m. to ask about it and why it took so long, (since no one had called him to confirm any work), and the receptionist gets an attitude, saying, “It takes longer than an hour for the transmission fluid.”<br><br>That’s fine and understandable - but maybe don’t tell customers it’ll take an hour when booking the appointment. It’s really not that complicated. People need accurate information to plan around being without their vehicle.<br><br>He then clearly told them not to complete any work on his truck. Yet when we arrived about 30 minutes later to pick it up, they had already gone ahead and completed an oil change anyway—after being explicitly told not to.<br><br>So to recap:<br>• Appointment at 9 a.m.<br>• No work even started by noon<br>• No communication before sending a $600 estimate<br>• Disregarded a direct instruction to stop work<br>• Completed unauthorized service<br><br>I’ve taken my vehicles to plenty of mechanics over the years, and never once have I seen a shop start work—especially expensive billable work—without a customer’s approval. Having an appointment does not equal blanket authorization.<br><br>This was an incredibly unprofessional experience from start to finish. If you value clear communication, honesty, and respect for your time and instructions, I would strongly recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere.

It was summer. I was doing my last errands before the next day’s long road trip. We discovered in the middle of these errands that the A/C had stopped working!<br><br>I re-routed my errands straight to Jackson, with a hope they might be able to help me out. “We’ll work you in!” were the happiest words I heard that day.<br><br>So my grandson and I enjoyed our time in the waiting area, my grandson entertained the other waiting customers with his enthusiasm for life… and then, magically, the car was ready and the A/C worked again!<br><br>Thank you for rescuing our road trip!
