$600/hr is the expected rate.<br><br>My truck didn't start so I called for a tow, 2 miles $258. Dispatcher was very friendly and polite, said we can work with the prices and dropped it over $100. Fortunately I didn't need the tow but it was still a $50 cancellation when I called back after ~5 minutes which works out to being charged ~$600/hour for no service.<br><br>Dispatchers friendly, great just doing their job, offered recommendations to see if it could be an easy fix without a tow. The business charging a cancellation fee when I called back pretty damn quick is why it would have been a 1 star.<br><br>1 star from 3 they just called me several hours after the cancellation likely from leaving this review. Our business transaction ended when I was charged and cancelled the request for dispatch. I get it you have a building to pay for, employees and insurance but $600/hr?<br><br>Recommend literally any other tow shop. $600/hr it pretty consistently 4x the price of mechanic work.<br><br>Edit to add the call logs it was 6 minutes as the last thing they did was request my payment info, I have no clue why you think it's acceptable to call customers after the fact, hours later. Policy is policy, I didn't complain to the dispatcher. I'm not an employee and I can publicly show that to everyone and complain freely that your rates are insane compared to most anything else.

I called for a tow for a car that was not drivable. I explained what was wrong on the phone and they asked me to pay $180 to use “special equipment.” They ended up doing body damage to my car and the guy who was towing it said “there’s nothing I can do.” Before and after pics of the tow. Would not recommend!!!
