Smog Check I decided to give Ben’s auto repair a chance to win my business. I had been to the shop many years ago when it was managed by someone else. Do you get the feeling that customer service is totally dead? Well, when you go see Ben! Ben cares about the people he does business with. He cares about the community. I felt like he appreciated that I came in and asked questions. Ben explained things to me more than once so I could tell my husband about what was happening with my car. I drive a much older car and I’m getting ready to sell it but I needed to pass my smog. Ben made that happen and had the parts available for my car and explained everything to me so I was able to meet all the requirements to pass smog. I knew I would not pass when I came in. While I was waiting, I have to say that I saw how other customers interacted with Ben and they were telling me how pleased they were to be able to go to someone they could trust and not worry about being up sold on something that they didn’t need to have done and also trust the work to be done. Some of the cars that were there while I was waiting were much newer cars, and another customer told me she had gotten a price from the dealer and paid for something there and found out later that they didn’t do the work. Ben showed her what was safest for her family. I love someone who is willing to walk through something with you and show you so you feel that trust. Ben, thank you for taking the time to talk with me and help me understand all about my car. I look forward to doing business again.

Ben's Seal Beach Auto Repair recommendation. I had the top radiator hose connection break. I checked online for parts costs and labor costs to see if I was going to replace it myself. After looking at a YouTube how-to I decided to take it to a mechanic. I thought I'd give the new mechanic at the Chevron gas station near me in College Park East, a try. (It's important to note, they are not the same as the old ones from a couple years back. The old ones tried to rip me off recommending an unneeded repair after I got a smog check.) I went there late morning and asked for a quote. The quote I was given was dead on what I expected, and far lower than the auto dealer would charge. I stated I would like to proceed with the repair and offered to put down a deposit so he could order the parts. He said no need for a deposit. He ordered the parts and called me within 1 1/2 hours. I took my car in at 2 PM the same day and had it back by 4 PM. Everything has been working great. They let me know about a small oil leak but did not pressure me to get it repaired. They were friendly and clearly experienced mechanics. At his point I would definitely recommend them.

Absolutely fantastic service! Returned my phone call minutes after calling them and friendly service all the way through! Smog Check was quick and easy, I was out of there in ten minutes. Shoutout to John who did the work for me, he was especially friendly and kind all the way through. If you need a quick and easy smog check at a reasonable price, look no further! I absolutely will be coming here again!
