I'm not sure when the dumpsters are serviced, but I haven't been able to do a couple times because they were full. Glad I have a place to take the recycling. Sad to see so many refundable cans and bottles in them. People can donate those to a charitable organization.

This is a great place for residents to drop off yard waste, and branches as well as get rid of additional recycling when you forget to wheel the bin down to be picked up every other week. As Described on the city website, The Recycling Center consists of two parts: *Recyclables The recyclables section is open to everyone and handles cardboard & mixed paper, plastic bottles, and tin cans. This area is funded by the Metro Waste Authority. *Yard Waste Only Polk City residents (which are residents that live within Polk City’s City limits and have Polk City utility services) can use the yard waste side of the recycle center. Disposal of routine maintenance items such as grass clippings, leaves, tree trimmings and organic landscaping waste can all be done here. This area is provided and monitored by the City of Polk City and is funded by local taxes.
