We brought our car in for an estimate for a passenger side mirror quoted $1900 + a potential $450 for “configuration” but they couldn’t tell me if this was needed or not until after performing the initial work for $1,900 LOL. Equaling more than likely $2,350. Charging out 7 hours for a passenger side mirror, 2 hours for “paint”. I got another place in Salisbury to do it in less than 4 hours for $1,000. To price gauge that much I’m shocked they have the reviews they do and are still in business. Born and raised around here to take that much advantage of someone is bad for business. I spoke with an auto shop in Bishopville, showed them the quote, and even tho they couldn’t do the work they agreed it was price gauging especially for the 7 hours of labor. Furthermore, do NOT bring in for MD state inspection. Theres the smallest chip in the windshield bottom and off to the side, they labeled as “large chip”. Chip has to be greater than 1/2 “ to fail state inspection AND has to be in driver line of sight… not towards the bottom, skewing to the passenger side, and less than 1/2”. There are a lot of retired people in this area probably taking advantage of. Price gauging, not for the little person business.

I recently moved to the area from DE and wanted to get my and my fiancé’s cars established with a local mechanic. We were both happy with the oil change/tire rotations so we planned to keep taking our cars there. I took my car in on 12/15 and was told it would be a $1100 repair. I advised that I didn’t have the funds right now but planning to do the with repairs after the holidays. I was charged $127 just for them to look over the car. I can’t justify paying a company $127 then $1100 for the same issue. I am now going to be finding a new mechanic to do the repairs after the holidays.
