We have been a South Bethany customer of Republic Services since 2007 and could not be happier. Specifically our Republic trash and recycling collecter AJ Johnson is the absolute best at his job. I and many other South Bethany homeowners would give him 10 stars if the ratings went that high. AJ is the hardest working, kindest, caring and most helpful service provider in South Bethany. He is particularly attentive to the needs of our senior citizens and there are many in our little town. He greets everyone with a kind word and a smile. The world needs more people like AJ. Unfortunately our town council did not consider past performance in their request for proposals from trash & recycling providers and selected another provider who came in with a minimally less expensive bid, a savings of only $8 per year per household. AJ is certainly worth a lot more than that and every homeowner I know would have paid that additional $8 per year to keep AJ for our town. All of the homeowners in South Bethany will miss AJ and we all wish him well. Bill Tinklepaugh South Bethany, DE

They will corner you to sign a contract which your sales person will promise that you can cancel early then price gouge your final invoice. Now called BFI Waste Services, LLC. They are not honest or upfront. We now use Backshore Property Services and are completely happy!

By far the worst trash service we have gotten. 1 whole year with a broken trash bin and they still havent been able to give us a new one. Last week my trash was not picked up due to that. Need to do better service.
