I called for a tow with a truck bed and that's what came. I was being towed to Big Rapids from Evart. I received the invoice and had it paid before they arrived to tow me. They were a little late picking me up, but road conditions being what they were, it was understandable. Then, there were several calls between dispatch and my driver. I heard the driver say " I'll be at the shop soon." I had to ask, " we're making a pit stop?" He then told me that he had to switch me to a different tow truck and driver, because he was needed for a different tow. My truck ended being transferred to a regular tow truck, after I repeatedly told them I needed a flat bed. The new driver also left my vehicle running while it was being towed, which I asked 3 times why that was necessary (since I thought it had an issue with the alternator). The driver only responded that it was "an extra safety precaution, " but wouldn't elaborate why. Once my truck was at the shop, it was determined that it was a leaking water pump, which left unchecked (by running it) could have led to a cracked engine block. I will not be using Reed City towing services again.

Reed City Towing saved my life! After sitting in my car in 19 degree weather, RC towing showed up earlier than their promised arrival time. The driver allowed me to get warmed in their toasty cab while my car was very efficiently loaded. They hauled me to the nearest EV charging station and off loaded it with the exact presion need to allow me to plug my car in to charge. One inch over and the charger would have been out of reach! Can't thank them enough for the rescue but hope to never need their help again!
