Stopped in to see whats what. Family run , nice people,Mary told me about the place, asked if I wanted a tour. She had time, so she took me around. Front office, stock yard, restaurant, show room area .!. I liked it all. Called up a brother ,told him to come on over,meet me there. We had a nice breakfest , food was good and prices were right! .. We took our bull to Blue Earth Stockyards the day before the sale. When we left he was in a pen by himself, but when we went back for the sale the next day, we found that they put him in a pen with a bunch of cows so he was continuously breeding them all day before the sale. They deprived them of water. Our bull lost hundreds of pounds between when we dropped him off and when he was weighed before entering the ring. He was the second to last animal to sell for the day, so it was after 3pm when he finally went in the sale ring. By that time there were only 3 people left there to bid on him. We were told that we should give as much information about him so that he would sell better. When we dropped him off, we told them all kinds of things. Like he was grass-fed, pasture-raised, all-natural, no flaws, just selling because we had kept too many of his daughters. When he got in the ring nothing was said about him. They brought him in and walked him right out. Didn't hardly have a chance to take a good look at him. The price he brought because of all their mistakes was deplorable. We thought about no-saling him and bringing him back home, but after having to sit through the whole sale and watching all the sick, lethargic animals go through the sale ring, we didn't want to risk taking any of that back to our farm. So, personally, we will never be going there again. Enter at your own risk!

Great place to eat! Hot beef sandwich was the best!! My sister had the Salisbury steak and really liked it. The staff was very nice. Definitely one place I would recommend.
