I go here all the time and have never had any issues but today one of the workers was incredibly rude to me and my girlfriend. While we were looking at an old stereo that had been dropped off, a short bald man angrily approached us, passive aggresivley stating " You know this stuff isnt here for you to take, right?", and proceeding to huff his way to the CAT the items were sitting in the bucket of, and dump them into a dumpster, narrowly missing our car. This was embarressing to watch, and not just for the unprofessionalism, but the deffensiveness he held over the trash he thought we wanted to take just from looking at it. On another note, it was a gross need for waste on his end as new life for items is far better than one more thing in the landfills. Weird man.

I've lived in Westfield for over two decades and I noticed the rating for our conversation center was a 3? Yikes! The people working the center are nothing but friendly. Always smiling, always offering to help. No, sorry, it's not a "dump" where you can drop off your garbage for free. And the hours of operation are clearly marked on the town's website. If you think you can drive here any day of the week and hour of the day and drop off your trash, you will be disappointed. (You can purchase a permit to use the dumpster and drop off trash.) Take two minutes and read through the "rules" and hours of operation before jumping in your car. The center is a great resource and getting better every year.
