Rick built my 69 Nova in 2025. He took the car down to a bare skeleton and rebuilt it with about 95% new parts. Additionally, he made changes in it to build it into a Pro Touring car with 4 link suspension, LS motor and 6 speed manual transmission. The quality of his builds is remarkable. The car is welded 3 times better than the factory did it. Every part is stripped to bare metal and covered with double or triple coats of epoxy primer to protect the car forever. The body panels are adjusted so every line is perfect and he gaps all the fender, door, and hood lines so they are even and perfect. Rick was easy to reach throughout the build process, more than ready to accommodate any requests I had, and often shared his expertise to steer the project down the more correct path. Rick's rebuild process isn't the fastest or cheapest, but the car you get back is 100% solid, straight in every aspect, and ready for another 50+ years of use. I cannot recommend Carthage Classic Cars either highly enough, or strongly enough, for those of you looking to restore your Classic car.

I had complete sheet metal work done at Carthage Classic Cars on my 1968 Nova and could not be more pleased with the professional work that Rick put into it. My Nova was a rust bucket with some potential and a lot of work needed. Rick took the car in, shared his overview with me and set out a perfect plan of getting the car back in a like new build. Rick included me in with progress updates, detailed messages and lots of pictures along the way. Rick has a gift at what he does through CCC. Car enthusiasts, If anyone is considering working with Rick through Carthage Classic Cars, I would highly recommend his shop. He has taken on my car (pictured below) and solved problems caused by me and other shops frankly. His knowledge and dedication to putting a plan in place to get you where you want to be with a restoration or build project is top shelf. Not to mention the meticulous record keeping and communication with documentation and pictures to back up the progress is something you’ll be impressed with. I am so thankful for all he has done for me and continues to do. His ability to take on and solve problems along with dedication to completing tasks is not something easy to find. Throughout this process he and his shop have always been mindful of being efficient and cost effective. Always fair and trustworthy to a fault.
