While traveling on Interstate 40, I was driving behind a company truck belonging to Cooper Recycling. The truck bed was filled to capacity, with no items secured and no cover in place. As a result, an object flew out of the truck bed and struck my vehicle, causing significant damage. I promptly contacted the company regarding the incident. Initially, I was told they were waiting for my insurance company to reach out, which is not the proper procedure. In reality, it is the responsibility of the at-fault party (Cooper Recycling) to either pay for the damages directly or process the claim through their own insurance provider. I had to involve my insurance company on a three-way call to clarify this for them. Eventually, the company requested that I obtain a cash estimate so they could pay out of pocket rather than file an insurance claim. Per their request, I obtained an estimate from a reputable repair shop, Caliber Collision, and submitted both photographs of the damage and the written estimate. The estimate totaled $2,468 for parts and labor. Despite this, the company responded by questioning the cost. My bumper has now been hanging loose for over three weeks, creating both a safety issue and an ongoing hardship. This incident reflects clear negligence on the part of the company, as unsecured cargo poses a serious hazard to other drivers. Not only has this caused me financial and personal inconvenience, but it also had the potential to result in a far more dangerous accident.

This company is worthless. Poor customer service. Take your recycling to Scott's Auto Salvage & Sales or Brown's Recycling LLC, they pay more and are better willing to assist you.
