We were stuck at Milky Way restaurant across the street when our van wouldn't start. Had no idea they closed at noon since we were traveling from San Angelo to The Lost Maples. We walked into the store 10 mins before closing and Pete was so kind enough to go above and beyond to help us after closing down the store. He used his own equipment to check our car battery after offering to help take out the old one to replace it if needed. He even reached out to a one of his friends who was a mechanic to come help. There happened to be two other well known local mechanics, the Carlile brothers, dining at The Milky Way. One of the kind waitresses who served us came out to see if we were OK and offered to reach out to them to see if they could help. It ended up being my starter that the Carlile brothers were able to restart. We greatly appreciated the kindness and generosity they all offered. Gives me hope for humanity when serendipities like this happen.
