Asked if they buy catalytic converters they said no it’s illegal, asked if they know anywhere I can sell my used catalytic converter they responded the same. Did some research and it’s only legal to sell old catalytic converters to licensed auto dismantlers or repair dealers in California, clearly something doesn’t add up if they’re auto dismantlers. Also just as an FYI I have proof I bought a new catalytic converter to show it’s not stolen.

Veronica at the store told me that she had the part I was looking for, but she did not want me to come over, because she was concerned my Fiat 500 e - an electric car would have trouble made down there from the high desert and would surely have problem finding a charging station to get back. She checked and referred a couple of stores in San Bernardino for me and told me they have my part and even with a better price, and I only need to drive half of distance. Thanks her advice I happily found the part and fixed the car at Tapatio, SB and met the people as kind as she is. I never met Veronica, perhaps never will, but my junk yard experience was one of the best moments in life.
